Might even try and hook up the go pro for some of the roads in the south there.

Yes, I'll be taking the camera.
I'll be sure to keep you all posted on it.

Indeed, need to see if I still have a kit in the car. I suspect not

Yes, just picked up a UK sticker. That one snuck in under the radar.
Got Hi-vis & triangle from the last time I went over, got new breathalysers too.

Thats a fair point. Won't take up much space to throw one in.

I really hope I don't need the tent and sleeping bag!
Not planning on speeding but always good to keep an eye on things.
What's the latest on documents needed these days?
UK Licence, copy of insurance along with V5 is enough now isn't it?

Hey all,
I'm planning a road trip for myself through Belgium.
Heading to Ghent first for a few days to see a friend then off to Spa - North Luxemburg - Bastogne - Tintgny - Heirges then stopping the night in Divent.
Then Divent - Chimay - North through the Lakes - Thuin - Mons - Tournai - Calais A25 (Stop the night) then back to South Wales.
Should be quite the drive, as I think there are some places along this route that don't always hit the "best driving roads" lists.
Total of around 900 miles.
So, I've driven on the continent a few times (to Belgium), no issues there.
But does anyone have any advice for a long road trip such as this, any tips that might be out of the ordinary?
Or any other tips for a solo road trip?

It's got to be either the sensor or the gauge.
When my OEM gauge died it went to 120 before the engine was on so must be an open circuit or something.
Also, I wouldn't expect the car to be at 60PSI at all times. Once the car is hot. Idle pressure will be much closer to 15/20PSI.
Having gone through this myself, the engine will be fine. It will be the sensor or gauge and if you really want to be sure, get a garage to hook up a mechanical pressure gauge to it.

Ok mate,
Good to know. Sounds sensible!

Yeah mine isn't great. Got some jubilee clips holding the head shield together at this point.

This is great to hear. Thanks all.
I guess it's always the failures that makes the noise so to speak.

Thanks mate, good to hear good stuff about the TS ones.
I'm aiming to get the TS Y pipe so those would be a nice match.

Hi all,
I'm just after some thoughts on how people have found these.
I understand that they need to be hot to pass an MOT etc, but I've been reading stories lately that people have been having a lot of issues trying to get cars to pass at all.
So I'm just wondering,
- Those of you with sports cats, what has your experience been like?
- Are there any recommended ones to use? Preferably bolt in replacements.
I see that Tarmac Sportz ones are shown as passing from cold but I'm sorry to say, that I can't see that being possible.

I've been thinking about getting the Tarmac Sportz Y pipe soon. What issues did you have?
-
Oh boy, how did I only just find this.
Time to settle in for a good read!

So installing the Z1 fuel port did not go quite to plan.
I either split (or it broke) the O ring on the fuel regulator.
So now my car is slowly leaking a bit of fuel and generally stinks.
New O ring arriving later today to get it sorted.
Also will be updating post 1 with all the mods etc.

That is a nice collection
Thanks for the offer but I should be sorted in the morning. Halfords didn't have them in the store but ordered online for delivery tomorrow.

You should be able to pick up an O ring from a Halfords or plumbing place should be loads on the shelf at both.
On the subject, a guy I know does work for an Audi dealer, one O ring was £145 from Audi, it HAD to be used for warranty purposes, the identical ring from a regular supplier..... 49p
I don't know why I didn't think about Halfords. Must be the heat mixed with the petrol fumes
Will take a walk up there later today.

Just typical dealer pricing. I honestly don't know where they make it up from.....

haha, always the way.
Looks like this is all it is, so will get a new o ring and should be back on the road

Tell me about it, watching all that fuel spray with the price of fuel at the moment
Not fixed yet, got to order in a new o ring but the postage was like 3 times the price of the part so dropped an email to @Coz@TORQEN to see if he can help with that.

Ah yes I did come across that.
I'll double check my route but I'm staying outside the zone. So, so long as my route doesn't cross it, I won't need to worry about it.
Cheers, though.
EDIT
Just checked and I'll be driving outside of the zone so all clear on that.
