  1. Well thanks to doris the wife and I may be in the market for a new car. Something that can move 3 kids and a collie-shepherd in relative comfort but still be robust. Got a 16 plate astra for when we want to arrive clean, and the zed for fun. I suggested a 2nd zed but she said no. A tree decided to lie down on the zafira, damage to a pillar and broken rear window.

  2. Hope so.Impressed with your maturity in handling the feedback and situation at such a relatively young age.Hope you get it corrected soon.

Agree, most forums I've been part of would have resulted in full blown rage filled arguments. But I guess that says more about my old chavvy forums for corsas corollas colts and celicas...hmm my 1st non c forum.

  3. I was on a company car and named driver for a year, direct line told me they protect it for 2 years if i go back to them. Having said that I'm with Hastings, 2 months in and so far not asked for proof of no claims, which i find odd. I'm on works insurance to drive anything booked in though.

  4. I will walk with customers to there car if i want to show them something, or if they ask. They can go in the workshop but under my terms. Anyone that just walks in gets asked nicely to leave and go to reception where i do the workshop version of **** block them

  5. I wouldn't want to be filmed whilst doing my day job either, tbh. Nothing to hide particularly, but I may have conversations with colleagues that could easily be taken out of context or use language that could be found offensive by some.

Sooo, you're not a porn star then...

  6. All good valid points. I suppose if it was fitted in the way then the mot tester/garage was right to disconnect it. I also see the sense in rabbitstews comments.

Choice seems to be either have one fitted discreetly so it cannot be seen or find an alternative garage you would put 100percent trust in regardless.

I think I am biased, I know of a mechanic sacked by bmw for powersliding and driving at speed a customers m3. All caught on a discreet dashcam.

unfortunately it happens, at indi and large chains, every one employed is an individual and has the potential to be a douche. Id instantly dismiss any of my techs not respecting a customers car. I agree with rabbitstew about the tools too.
