"Which 350z should I get?"
THIS ONE
Black.....✓
Rev up....✓
Full service history from new...✓
Only 2 owners.....✓
Ok, mileage is 70k but this is about as honest example as I've seen in ages with factory Nismo kit to boot.
As always, you'd need to check it out before purchasing but everything looks legit.
First owner trades it in to original Nissan dealer for a 370z.
Next owner had it 9yrs.
The only better scenario would be a 1 owner from new!
Looks mint! Sounds like a spot on example that's been looked after and with that perfect Nismo kit is a huge bonus
Such a shame it hasn't got leather or cruise control though!

Nah don't need to aim at people less fortunate, keep this strictly aimed at the government. Back to the point, I so need to change the daily to a hybrid.
I think @GranTurismoEra is airing towards the idea that the government aren't putting money in the right places and possibly road/car tax is going else where... Probably right
The topic of benefits can be quite sour, a lot deserved, but also a lot abused...

Buy the one that's within your budget, that looks like it's been well loved with loads of history/receipts etc...
Earlier cars have different interior also (pre 06). The later cars come with revised headlights/brake lights and a few other minor tweaks but the main ones are the engine differences.
Safest bet is a real clean, low mileage, early DE model. They all have their pros and cons and different people have had different experiences... But from what I've seen generally/commonly the "rev-up" DE engine 296bhp can be prone to oil consumption and the later HR engines (twin intakes) have gallery gasket problems - which if are not sorted can lead to a £1000 job...
Subjectively (however I own a 2004 DE), the best 350z would be the later HR engine model (2007/2008) with gallery gaskets all sorted, but they are more expensive and come with have higher tax bracket (which may not be a huge issue). They have a higher revving/more powerful engine, nice revised interior, nice upgraded lights and you can also boast about how you have a HR to all the earlier DE owners

Z4M? 350bhp, great drivers car, well built, German quality/comforts, rare and appreciating in value
Coupe prices are going mad and roadsters are on the steady climb over the last 5 years.

On Sunday I'll be fitting mine (I know it's been ages but I have a young daughter) and was wondering if there's a better guide to follow than this for installation: https://my350z.com/forum/engine-drivetrain-and-forced-induction-diy/418047-z1-plenum-spacer-install-how-to.html
I'm sure I can do it without but it's always helpful to research beforehand, especially for torque settings and which side the gaskets etc. go.
It's all very simple when you get stuck into it!

All gone now!!
Thanks to everyone who showed an interest!

Only 1 plenum spacer remaining!!!
Unless another reasonably large group of people are interested in plenum spacers, this will be the final one sold, limited edition plenum spacers 1 of 25... Should mean they go up in value like a prestigious watch or piece of art

Oh I wonder how these would fit on a 350!
Just paid my insurance at 21 and was surprisingly cheap

I have had the brake pipe corrosion advisory before... took it back to the same guy the next year and not a word said
The disc and tyres are just general wear and tear items and simple to replace. Shame the tyre is under limit on the edge but maybe this is an alignment issue, as said above!
The wheel bearing would be the one I would be thinking about getting booked in if you dont want to take on the task. It took me 4/5 hours, with many cups of tea, and cost approx. £80 for a replacement bearing.

Car looking good! What was the dye colour you got for your seats, or did you send a sample?
Thanks! The dye was from a company called Gliptone and I think it's called a scuffmaster kit? Filled in a form with car details and leather colour and they matched it!
It's held up real nicely with a lacquer applied after the dye and further cleaned and conditioned throughout the year .

The more I see your car the more I fall in love with mine, the carbon/black just makes the orange look so much better.
Where did you get your carbon bits from? I was going to get a ducktail spoiler but the carbon nismo is swaying me over. Also looking at carbon wing mirrors but unsure were to go to make sure the fitment is spot on.
Very kind of you to say so
I got the mines carbon splitter from Grams styling, heard mixed reviews but I can only say good things my end.
The wing mirror covers were off ebay, pure gamble but paid of nicely!
The Nismo spoiler was on the car when I bought it, so I can't help there unfortunately! Had a Nismo splitter too when I bought it but the previous owner had a misunderstanding with a curb

After my minor incident with broken ART pipes... I've decided it's time to fit all the parts I've been hoarding
This year brings all of the goodies taking up room in the garage:
Exedy Stage 1 Clutch Kit
7KG SMF
Stoptech Slave Cylinder
Z Speed Clutch Pivot Ball
HEL Braided Lines w/ Millers Racing Brake Fluid
Shell Helix Ultra 5w40 w/ filter
NGK Iridium Spark Plugs
Uprev - likely at Abbey Motorsport
Hopefully the zed will be better tham ever this year

Great daily driver cars I think! Turning circle is a bit naff but the boost is addicting and makes a pretty meaty sound!
A friend of mine has a TD04 turbo on his abarth making 350z power, which is a bit embarrassing
