I've got an Invidia Gemini with stock cats. It's similar in volume to the stock, just a nicer sound. With decats the Gemini is much louder, probably in the region you're looking for, they make all the difference.

Was thinking about decats, but was worried come MOT time, I have access to a ramp but unsure on how straightforward it is swapping over to stock cats every year?

Sure this has been spoken about before on previous occasions... however I wanted people's up to date opinions and choices.

What exhaust systems are everyone using and what sort of noise would you describe in terms of raspiness, loudness and how refined/quiet they can be?

I've got a cobra resonated cat back exhaust and a Japspeed Y Pipe. However I'm looking for a bit more noise which I'd hope to get from sports cats (HFCs). Hoping for some advice and people's choices and opinions!

I've seen people seem to rate Fuchs Titan Race Pro S quite highly but the car is not going to be driven hard (all the time) and I think as long as oil changes are done regularly, oil that expensive wouldn't really be necessary!

I might go with the Shell Helix Professional 5w-30 as nobody seems to say a bad word against it and it's well priced.

If you were looking at selling mods separately, I'd definitely be interested in helping you get rid:D

The car isn't massively modified at all so an oem clutch would still be fine! But the flywheel should be considered as a upgrade maybe if it's worth it?

Yes it's a DE model, I wouldn't be too bothered with the noise from a lightened flywheel. From what people have said the driving difference and response makes up for it. Just the kithing I found was £429 which is considerably cheaper than other options. Didn't know if there was a particular reason for this as I am new to 350Zs!

I've seen that kit around seems to be quite popular! Just this one I've found seems to be cheaper and excedy is a reasonable make I've heard of before

Car is on it's way to 70k miles and will be expecting some slips from the clutch in the nearby future... what are people recommending for a slight upgrade from original oem clutches/flywheels and is it worth the cost? I've found something like this which seems like good value to me, but I'm sure someone will point me in the right direction:

EBC Grooved Discs and Red Stuff Pads all round! Motul RBF600 fluid seems to be a favourite, but I've never used it so can't say. Take a look on h-devs website, plenty of options for braking.

Thanks for the replies! I know some of the guys in here can get a bit "passionate" with maintenance etc😉 Is there anything to particularly look out for with the Zeds?

Probably been spoken about millions of times but as a new 350z owner at 19year old I'm loooking for some advice in terms of maintenance.

Been looking at engine oil decided to stay with the recommended 5w30 for everyday driving, has anyone used Shell Helix Ultra Professional AG?
