Thank you all for your seasons greetings and I have to say that over my many many years I have belonged to various clubs but this is the only one I have felt I have belonged and I owe it to all those I have met since joining after purchasing my Zed 6+ years ago, there were some great meetings this year and I am looking forward to our meetings in 2023.

yes I had an email from Kelsey today reference Japfest but couldn’t see any dates, certainly will be going as given what has been a wretched year one way or another it’s great to have something to look forward to in 2023.

Hi David sorry to say I may have to miss the meet at Milbecks as I have tested positive for covid today I help out at a Primary School in Northampton and felt unwell yesterday so tested today and after avoiding it since it began now I have managed to get it. I will take a test Sunday morning but I have a feeling it won’t be negative, I shall miss my scone with jam and cream and a cappuccino in the cafe and the opportunity to buy something I don’t need in the shopping area. If I do not make it I hope you all have a great day.

I certainly enjoyed my scone with jam and cream washed down by a very palatable cappuccino last time we were there which doesn’t seem that long ago so will be there buying something in the garden centre I don’t really need. 🤷‍♂️

I think the plug number indicates Laser Platinum although no idea what the difference is between them and Iridium 🤷‍♂️

Certainly tired is one way of describing both them and myself after doing it, when they are due to be changed again I might go for the easier option of changing the car. I know they have been in the car since 2006 as only second owner at 25,000 with full service history, the ones pulled out are NGK R PLFR5A11 I am assuming that the R stood for racing back in the day. 🤷‍♂️

Changed plugs today which was more of a marathon than a sprint, they had been in for 16 years and 57,000 miles and clearly showed signs of having been but to be fair never any issues however the new iridium tipped ones have certainly improved response power wise.

Well I can report that there was a good turnout for todays meeting and despite the fact Davey organised it and the weather forecast was not favourable for an outdoor car meeting it stayed dry and actually brightened up later on. 171 miles there and back but glad I went as friendly group as usual and I learnt more about my car today than I have in last 6 years of owning it from a member I only met last Sunday for first time and lives in my own county of Northamptonshire. Well done again to Davey for organising it and sorry you couldn’t make it.

I hope so as had to apply for a passport to travel that far north 🤷‍♂️😂

No problem as I do enjoy these meetings and despite being twice if not three times the age of some of those there today and know nothing about the technical side of the vehicles I always feel welcome as Z owners are such a friendly bunch, keep up the good work Dave as I know it is much appreciated by the members.

If I can circumnavigate my way off the M6 to the Garden Centre I hope to make it mind you the car is in for it’s MOT today and haven’t heard back from them yet 🤞

Thanks for your advice which parts need to torque down and where do I find those specs

I need to change the plugs as they have been in since 2006 and have 57,000 on the clock, they are not playing up but according to the service manual they should be changed but having never worked on the engine before I am wondering just how much of a challenge, I have the plugs and plenty of suitable tools or is it a garage job.
