  1. I work in a place where more than 60-70% staff have Phds and are immigrants. Some are really worried about staying in UK, they felt threatened and unwelcomed. I've been told by my friends and family to stay low until this is over and not drive my Zed because I'm not white and the car attracts too much attention.

  2. I have a long-standing offer on here of free driver training at any UK trackday, assuming I'm free and you pay for me as a second driver. More than happy to offer that still if it's of any interest :)

Of if you're local to me, we can meet up and see what we can improve in a road environment?

I hope you won't regret it! I'm based in Cambridge and assume you're in Essex then it shouldn't be too far.

Of course it would be nice to go to track day with you and I wouldn't mind paying for you as a second driver!

We can carry this chat in PM :)

  3.

I really think you should go to a track and be given race lessons as if you've only just learned to drive and you're already in a powerful rear wheEl drive car, being taught how to handle (not just drive) a car close to its limits will really benefit you.

You'll have so much more fun afterwards.

Ideal fast car for you to have first and build confidence in would be Honda Civic VTI. You'd get to LOVE thrashing that. :)

The cars I've been driving for the past 10 years is Merc E240, Lexus RX300 and GS350. Hopefully you can see why I struggle to drive a Zed. As none of those cars gives me the same feedback and feeling of a Zed. It's like learning how to drive again.

I would definitely go on track one day, but I want to get comfortable in the Zed first. The cost of going on track day and doing 1 on 1 tuition is really expensive. I need to save up first!

  4. Oh dear. AnoThere's post like this from you Banz.

It still really does sound like you're completely disconnected from your car somehow or the car is seriously impared somehow.

hah, can't help it. Please bear in mind that I'm just learning how to drive a car properly. Never in the past have I ever driven a car to it's limit. Was always a fairly safe driver. So this is all very new to me!

  5. I've only had it for a month and it changed my perspective about cars. I've always driven nice German/Jap cars that my parents own. They were all automatic and this is the first manual car I ever owned. I never knew driving could be that much fun. After driving for 2 hours, my gf asked me if I wanted some rest. I was like, you must be joking. I can't wait to get back into the car.

  6. I just found out that my mom voted leave. Because she believes the immigrants from EU is the major cause of unemployment and crime. That most immigrants are living on benefits and draining our health care. All the money that they earned are being brought back into their own country rather than staying in UK. She says that within 6 months the economy would recover and we would do far much better without the EU. She believes UK is still a major power in Europe and that investors would still keep investing into UK. The EU needs us more than we need them.

  7. Ive been driving fairly aggressive over the weekend and I cant believe that it is still doing 27mpg.

Your definition of aggressive is obviously different from mine

The previous owner (from here) managed to do something like 17mpg.

My 27mpg is country road driving though. A little bit on the motorway but mostly A and B roads.

So what mpg do you achieve with your more spirited drive? :)

  8. Please keep it civil. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Let's not turn it into a flame war. There's pros and cons in both campaigns and neither leaving or remaining is good for UK. There is no doubt that UK will now go through a rough and uncertain period.

Until then... we all have one thing in common is that we all love our Zed :teeth:

  9. Was playing a bit with a Carrera on the motorway. We kept a safe distance. Then comes a BMW, no idea what model it was but he kept tailgating me. I let him pass then he started tailgating the Porsche. We were having a bit of fun and this BMW driver came and ruined it by driving so recklessly.

We got off the motorway and all three of us went full throttle into the A roads. It's a steep hill climb and when me and the Porsche got to the speed limit, we eased off. The BMW just kept going, I pretty much lost sight of him after 20 seconds. It was a really long road as well and I was able to see probably a mile head.

  10. Can we stop all this racist bo&&ocks please, yes we know it exists but this promotion of it in this thread and the implications at the leave voters is quite frankly f*****g disgusting.

The truth is that racism exist in both leave and remain party. Due to the results, there is no doubt that the racist people are becoming more verbal and confident as they would like to think the majority of the people in the country are siding with them.

  11. Finally decided to record a video of it.

This is cold start this morning with AC on. Took 20 seconds for the noise to go away. Then it came back later after about 30 seconds and lasted another 10 seconds.

Garage says the belt look fine and it isn't loose. Just need a bit of grease.

  12. So I've been driving around for an hour searching for a garage during lunch time. As it's going to be raining the next few days and I need the car so it needs to be fixed asap.

1st garage- bring it to auto windscreen repair

Called auto windscreen- they say they only fix windscreen

2nd garage- bring it to nissan garage

3rd garage- nissan, call windscreen repair. It would be cheaper. The guy said those tubes are not there to stop water. It is to prevent wind noise.

The lovely receptionist from work offered to use black silicon and do it for halve the price.

    :please::help:
