  1. Micro Machines on Windows 3.1 running over DOS 6.22
  2. As an artist I really do know what the art world is all about and who gets to earn the money and get fame. There are fabulous artists all over the country. The worst bullshit in my opinion is what many artist do, which is do a painting, sculptor or installation and then you make up a pseudo intellectual statement to say what it means. Favourite bullshit atm seems to be anything to do with climate crisis obviously, then there is the classic "opening a dialogue", "Challenging preconception about..." and so on. This is my artwork if y'all interested? ecofriendlyal.wixsite.com/mysite also Instagram @ecofriendlyal Here is some of the art I've bought of friends and some talented folks in the Wolverhampton arts scene which is thriving. A couple of clare wassermans and a work by Loz Taylor. I also have a work by graffiti artist Skore, a two piece work. I chose not to meet him as I didn't want to be burdened by knowing his identity. There is good art and at reasonable prices. I only buy what I want to look at daily. Never buy just for investment, it may never happen.
  3. I talked to the mechanic and he found I had a broken exhaust bracket. He's put sealant on it and put a new bracket on it so hopefully that has sorted the emissions. My theory about very rough road was maybe correct.
  4. hello Fijifixit, I deleted the codes and lost the peice of paper that they were written on. Just remember it being two codes, the same number but one with a P, i.e both left and right and think it said front sensor and possibly exhaust???? Mechanic will get it on the ramp today and have a good look. Thanks AL
  5. I was wondering if anyone could shed light and maybe a cause from this info? Cheers
  6. Hi Z Man, standard cats as far as I'm aware, it has passed the emissions the last 3 times. Thanks, I'll be ordering from you if it does turn out to be a sensor.
  7. HI, I had EML on about a month ago but put it down to really rough road over Telford area. Used the OBD2 reader and cancelled the codes, think they were for sensors? Light hasn't come back on since. Forgotten numbers and lost piece of paper. Car failed on emissions yesterday, tester suggests a leak or crack in exhaust. Mechanic is looking at it Monday so should hopefully find if there is a leak. I believe sensors cost a hundred quid so will put off buying one just on chance. Any thought on most likely sensor that may be at fault if not a leak? Cheers AL P.S 350z 2004 about 60k miles
  8. Just thinking about the plenum upgrade, if anyone has one I may be interested Cheers AL
  9. Had both front and back from Torquen, good fit but mechanic had problems with rusted up nuts.
  10. My 350 is my everyday car all weathers. Had some poor tyres on when I bought it. Just fitted the Bridgestone Weather Control A005 and really notice the difference in braking. No doubt someone will come along and tell you your head will drop off if you don't have Michelin Sports of some form. Admittedly I'm no boy race but do like a blip of the throttle occasionally, of course within the speed limit and when it is safe to do so. https://www.giga-tyres.co.uk/bridgestone/weather-control-a005/225/45-r18/95/v/gi-r-377634ga Found Giga very good price and got them in about 3 days. Welcome to the forum
  11. Hi JaGe, not sure why no ones replied? I believe its an after market exhaust as there's just one pipe at the back. My Z is a standard car as far as I know, has two tail pipes. but mines not a GT. Someone should tell you if that's the standard screen or not. Yes GT has heated leather seats, (I understand not very good and not updatable) Sat Nav and I think cruise control is the 3rd thing. Apart from that you should have the benbo brakes and alloys etc. Hope someone can confirm or deny this. Same wheels as mine. Only I have Bridgestone tyres on mine ;-) P.S have a look at the .gov MOT site. MOT runs out on 12th Nov, these were advisories last year to have a look at. Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories): Offside Front Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge (5.2.3 (e)) Nearside Front Road wheel slightly distorted (5.2.2 (c) (i)) Offside Front Road wheel slightly distorted (5.2.2 (c) (i))
  12. You can upload a video to your YouTube account and then copy paste the link here. Sure there is a thread on here that explains these sort of things.
  13. Yep not very reassuring for Kwik Fit staff to ask that is it. And the price is OTT too.
  14. May of been something on the road, but as it happened twice in the last two weeks I'm guessing cheap tryes even with plenty of tread have worn to point of being dangerous, then its had been hot so rubber on road then rain. Sure Michelin are very good. I think I'll do just fine on my new ones. Not been far but does seem better braking.
  15. yes should be a lot more sure footed now. gave Kwik fit a call as they do a free check but of course the webshite does not list cost. £50 for front and £75 for back! Guy on the phone asks what car, and then says "are the rears adjustable"? So are only some cars adjustable? My local centre does lazer alignment so they can do it after the frotns are fitted later today.
  16. I only do about 3k miles a year. Consider myself lucky I've not lost it on a bend. Got the rears on yesterday, fronts arrive today and will get it alighned front and back.
  17. Had the front done last year before a long journey at a small independent tyre place. Will look into that thanks. And 35psi all round is the right pressure I believe?
  18. Hi Veeg, yes been on these crap tyres for 3 years in all weathers including snow. I do give the throttle a blip now and again on a straight road if nothings about and enjoy a nice bend too. Back only slipping out the last week. WE had hot weather and then very wet so probably build up of rubber on road and tyres where out, though there is still a good few mm on them.
  19. That OK, we are only Human. I get flustered and mixed up sometimes so don't always get things right.
  20. I did ask but no one replied at that time, so I went ahaead with what seemed the most suitable tyre for my usage and driving style. So all year round and fairly steady. If a response would have coome quicker I may have bought the one people keep mentioning but its too late now anyway. I appeciate everyones input.
  21. Thanks for the comments. The tyres are in transit so too late too change. It was not about money but don't want two sets of tyres I need to change for season. Z is my daily drive so needs to be able be driven in all conditions. "Bridgestones in the wet", read the reviews. I'm not a bad boy, street racer, car cruiser and car is standard. After having the back end go on holiday round a corner safety is more important than performance. For my needs and how I drive the tyres will suit me just fine. http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2018-27-All-Season-Tyre-Shootout.htm I'm sure this will run and run. Cheers AL
  22. They are N8000 and about £80 each and going buy the old saying you get what you pay for then yes they most likely are. Am buying fronts to match the rears now. Its expensive business but its your life in there hands. Consider I've been lucky and not lost it on a sweeping bend at speed. person who had car beofre me must have run out of money as the fans had stopped working and sold it as that. Crazy putting crap tyres on a 279bhp car with loads of torque. Cheers chaps.
