  1. I have been debating doing this for months, but now I have 2 children to ferry around I've decided that it's time to pass by beloved Zed on to a new owner. I really don't want to do this, but deep down I know it's the right thing to do.

I haven't listed this on Autotrader or Facebook as I would love for it to go to a real Zed fan and I figured if you have gone to the effort to join the community here to look for a good example, then you would be a good person to pass her on to. If there are no takers over the course of a few weeks then I'll advertise in the usual places.

    PRICE - £8500

Current build thread can be found HERE

    CAR HISTORY:

So, I bought the car from @H1979 on here 4 years ago, (the for sale add can be found HERE) the car was near on perfect & had been exceptionally well looked after. I have added a few additional modifications to the car, but nothing over the top as I prefer the natural clean lines the Zed has.

    • Tinted rear window and rear quarter windows.
    • Boot divider bought from @14N on this site (http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/69257-350z-vertical-tonneau-cover-boot-divider/)
    • Additional OEM boot divider & fittings - bought as it was very cheap & OEM but never fitted!
    • Upgraded K&N Filters
    • Slam Panel bought from Forum Trader @RDON
    • Upgraded alumiminium undertray from @Adrian@TORQEN
    • BC Racing Coilovers from @Tarmac@TarmacSportz

    • JR6 Wheels from @Tarmac@TarmacSportz (Winter Boots) *these will not be included in the sale but can be purchased at an additional cost
    • Work D9R Wheels from Driftworks (Summer Sneakers) *these will not be included in the sale but can be purchased at an additional cost
    • Rear arches rolled to allow wider wheels & better fitment
    • New OEM W Brace
    • Pioneer Double Din Head Unit
    • Rear Wiper Delete
    • Fully Undersealed from Tuned UK

The car is 13 years old & is a daily driver so there are a few cosmetic blemishes:

    * Stone chippings on front bumper

    * Small 1/2 cm scuff on rear bumper (only visible from the floor really)

    * A couple of light scratches on driver door under wingmirror (light enough to be machine polished off I'm told)

    * Two "minor" areas of rust, one on the roof which I can only assume was from a stone before my ownership, its no more than a few dots but I've just kept it clean and protected and it's not really got any worse. The other is the rear left arch where a small bubble has appeared after having the arches rolled. Again it's very small (3mm) and keeping it clean and protected has helped keep it this size.

Inside the paint work is very good, the paint is renowned for chipping away but "touch wood" it's all in very good condition along with the seats and the carpets.

Mechanically the car is sound, every service & MOT I'm told how well it runs & what good condition it is in.

The galley gaskets have not been done - however they show no sign of failing at all. I have had the money in the bank since I bought the car waiting for the oil gauge to fail but start her up she flies up to 120, warms to 60, and after a few miles will happily idle at 30. The 60mph / 6th Gear / 60Bar test is done weekly and always has the same results so if you buy this car please factor in that this hasn't been done yet.

I think..... that's everything! I'm not in a major rush to sell & as the weather gets better and I see more and more cars out and about / at meets I know I will want to keep her, so before I change my mind and pick up a cheap banger to keep hold of this on the drive hopefully someone will be interested in taking her off my hands.

Car is located 20mins from Chester.

All viewings will be with myself and all test drives will be with me as the driver, you will only passenger, no exceptions.

  2. Finally! Reduction in camber back down to 2 degrees from four and some new bolts/bushes to stop some knocking and she is sat perfect!

Such a pain in the ass having to cut and roll the arches, but we cleaned and sealed them fully so Just have to be extra careful for the rust spots not but hopefully that will be her done for a little bit now.

Ive been looking at lots of tires and options what did you go for yourself? I’m assuming a bit more stretch than what I’m thinking cause of the offset? (I’m going et23 all round with 9.5 fronts and 10.5 rears)

received_390244978285547.jpeg.eaf99e4c1a392cd7b9cdcbbd78d2a822.jpegim currently on Falken FK510 tyres and the spec is:

    Front 18x9.5 et12 tyres 225/45/18

    Rear 18x10.5 et 15 tyres 285/35/18

With a 25-30mm drop on coilovers, some camber (about 3-4 degrees) and rolled arches.

On my JR6 wheels they were:

    18x9.5 et22

    18x10.5 et25

Tyres were the same spec and they fitters perfectly. Sat in to the arch about 1cm more so no rubbing ever and you could always throw a 5mm spacer on if you wanted to push them a bit more.

I think et23 all round on 9.5/10.5 should be fine, but please don't take my word for it! I had to get my arches rolled after all!

They look awesome mate. Do you think the rubbing is down to the offset rather than the width? Also what tires you running?

the drawing looks awesome btw. Such a clean looking car!!

Cheers mate the drawing is epic can't wait to get it framed and on the wall!

Yea the fitment is down to the offset. It's just that tiny bit too pokey!

I wanted to push it to the limit with the offset as I much prefer a flush/poke fitment to a tucked one but looks like I over pushed slightly! Good news is the car is drivable just need to be a little careful on certain corners etc until we get the arches cut or rolled a little more.

  5. Treated myself to a little doodle of my car, its from "modified artworks" on Facebook and if you want one doing mention "Tom with the silver 350z" and he may be able to do you a deal depending on what sort of thing you want doing.

  6. So chuffed with them!

They are however rubbing a tiny bit on higher speed sharp turns so going back to have another mm shaved off the arches or have them rolled a tad or have the rear coil overs tightened a bit. Or all 3! Either way it looks and drives great bar the little bit of rubbing.

Need to make sure they are off for winter though can't be doing with lacquer peel and corrosion on these beauty's! Been quoted 150 to have them ceramic coated so may well go for this.

  7. So the tyres took a lifetime to arrive after the courier lost them :rant:but eventually got everything to Tuned UK in Chester. Fronts went on a dream, rears not so much!  :wacko:Needed to cut the arches a little and add another 2 degrees of camber

I like the clean look at the back!! much trouble removing wiper and where did you get the bunge? looked at a few but never happy with the sizing lol

Wiper was easy, the interior trim was also surprisingly easy but the washer at the top was a right bugger to get out lol!

This was the guide I followed:

The pack I got was from a chap on Facebook but the top bung was too small so popped to Halfords & got a bigger one. Also picked up a primer, paint & lacquer spray to spray the boot lid bung. Doesn't match perfectly but it's close enough for me. :teeth:

Well they look like d9r work wheels in gt silver!!!

They are are the same wheels I’ve had in my driftworks basket for 2 months lol! What fitment you go for? 18x9.5 et23? Can’t wait to see how they look!!!

Ha! I was the same mate had them in for ages "umming and arrhing" over them!

    The Works are:

    Front - 18 x 9.5 et12

    Rear - 18 x 10.5 et15

Current setup for my JR6's is:

    Front - 18 x 9.5 et22

    Rear - 18 x 10.5 et25

So if my maths adds up (and Driftworks are on the ball) the wheels should poke out 10mm more, so i'll have to either have a little stretch on the tyres, or a little extra camber (currently about 1 degree) or raise the car a tad, or a bit of all, but none of this overstretched over camber crap I still want to drive the car lol!

Either way Tuned UK will be having a look and working out what would be best, then i'll get some rubber ordered and hopefully have them on in a few weeks.

Also need to see if the current lugs will fit, or if i'm gonna splash on some nice work ones  :teeth: and the same with the air valves

  10. :bounce:

Chris, might sound like a right noob question here but if i got the same specs as the JR wheels i bought from you the last time, would they sit the same or are different manufactuters offsets etc different?

    i think they were:

    front @ 18x9.5 et22

    rear @ 18x10.5 et25

  11. i just posted about passanger airbags so glad this has come up elsewhere! I have a 1 year old to take to nursery 1 day a week come January and the auto shutoff / light system they talk about in the manual doesnt seem to actually be there!
