  1. Ok, thanks. Yeh i might have to try that. Its just weird how the front badge i did before is absolutely fine. The discolouration spots look like its where water droplets have sat/formed, so many the clearcoat isnt reacting well to water (although that seems silly to me being a clear coat)? Does anyone have any recommendations to any particular clear coats?
  2. I took my rear badges off to spray them dark grey to match the rest of the car. I sanded them, primed them, sprayed them and then gloss clear coated them. And they looked fine when i put them on a couple of days ago. However today its been raining and they now have spots where the dark colour has just gone from them?! I did my front badge weeks before exactly the same way with the same products, and that still looks fine... Any ideas on why this has happened?! Here is my rear emblem, but it has done exactly the same on the 370z and Nismo lettering. I had them sprayed before, but without a clearcoat and so they started to peel. Hence why i redid them with a clearcoat. So im thinking its maybe the clearcoat??
  3. Now you have said that i cant unsee it Damn it, im going to have to buy another sticker to put on the other cap
  4. I have just put a new MOT on the car. It went through with no advisories again. New MOT due 2nd August 2021.
  5. Here are some better pictures of the MK2 Nismo boot spoiler on the car.
  6. Yeh i did the GTR starter button straight away. Havent got around to doing the gear knob yet.
  7. Im afraid the MK2 front bumper wins hands down for me. I think its one of the nicest stock front ends ive ever seen on a road car
  8. Yeh agreed! Its the one thing i think they made worse with the MK2.
  9. Finally got around to fitting my MK1 Nismo spoiler on my MK2 Nismo. I think it looks a lot better, and it really fits with the MK2 bodykit.
  10. I finally got around to putting my MK1 Nismo spoiler onto the car. I kept meaning to do this, but kept putting it off. The MK2 Nismo spoiler is definitely a lot better than the standard GT spoiler, but i just think the MK1 spoiler is the best by far. Im so happy with it, and it really goes well with the Nismo MK2 bodykit.
  11. Yeh, im now talking to Mark via email, so this can be closed off. Thanks guys!
  12. Every so often, when pulling away from stationary, my engine check light flashes a few times and then disappears. It only does it on occasions, and its always only a few flashes and then disappears again. I quickly took it to a garage and they ran diagnostics, but no error codes are being stored. Does anybody have any ideas on what this could be??
  13. Oh really? I dont believe that is stock is it..??
  14. Haha! Well i have my GT Spec for sale still... And it has a lovely new Nismo Mk2 rear spoiler on it now If you are serious about it, PM me as im open to offers
  15. That is very good timing as i have a nice update that i was going to post this weekend... But as you asked, here is a quick photo before i take some nicer ones.
  16. After putting my Mk1 Nismo spoiler on the new car, i decided to put the Mk2 nismo spoiler on this car. Its much nicer (and rarer) than the GT spoiler, so hopefully this will add to the car. I am also getting a fresh MOT on the car. Here is a quick picture of it, but i will get some proper pictures at the weekend.
  17. Thanks guys. Its actually the passenger door lock not locking into place when the car is locked stationary, as opposed to the doors auto-locking when you are moving. The garage has said its the door actuator that has gone. The signal is reaching the door lock, but its just the mechanism not actually locking. So ive got one on order and will hopefully get it fitted late this week.
  18. No i havent... Sorry to appear dumb, but where are those settings/what do i beed to check? Feel free to pm me if thats easier. Thanks for such a quick response!
  19. I have just found out that my passenger side door can still be opened when the car is locked. Really embarrassingly it happened during a sale viewing! Obviously this isnt something you usually check is working (i hardly ever have a passenger)... You can hear the door mechanism click when you lock the car, but the door still opens (setting off the alarm). With the door open you can force push the mechanism into the locked position, and then when you open the door from the internal handle it then unlocks the mechanism. So it isnt jammed, just unresponsive when it needs to be locked. it just appears that the locking signal isnt getting to that actuator, or the mechanics that push it into the lock position arent working. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! David
  20. I have a Stillen Gen 3 CAI on mine as well. I dont have a mega loud exhaust, i have the Stillen Exhaust to match (its a great combination IMO). If you are standing at the front stationary when the car is revved then you can hear it have more of a growl. But driving along from inside the cabin it sounds maybe a bit more growly (but that may be placebo). My conclusion would be that with a stock exhaust you would notice the difference in noise, however with an aftermarket exhaust you wont notice much of a difference, if any, with the the noise depending how loud the exhaust is. I did it for the engine bling really. And because i got the car mapped, so all it could do is benefit the map
  21. Price further reduced to £13,000. I could do with the driveway space now, so will consider sensible offers.
