Sounds like a plan. Is it just the piston rings wearing that causes the oil burning issue?

So would it be worth going to 5w50 to help slow down oil usage? Or should I just stick with what I'm using? Just trying to make my engine last longer before I have to rebuild it

Only issue I have is the usual oil burning. Goes from max to min in about 2000 miles

Yeah, I have already gone up to 5w40, just wondered if there was any advantages of going thicker. If no one knows of any I'll stick with what I currently use

My N/A DE is due a service and with the mileage just over 120,000 I was thinking of going up to 10w40 from the 5w40 I'm currently running. But, is there any advantage to doing this?
