    Upgraded HID's

Got the car washed too, it was covered in sandy coloured dust today as were all the cars round here for some reason. Any way took the car out for a spin in the dark, and for £30 odd that the bulbs and HID kit cost and a couple of hours work, its well worth the effort as its all dark country roads around here. Much better than OEM for sure.

    Upgraded HID's

At last got a decent day to do this job. Upgraded original HID bulbs in dipped beam to 6000k bulbs and installed full HID kit 6000k into high beam with LED side lights. Pics of the difference below. Took about 2 hours total fairly easy install.
  3. At the risk of getting shot down in flames here! From the MPSS gang Currently trying out a full set of Uniroyal Rainsport 3's on the car, as it has rained here torrentially for the last 12 weeks. Rays 18 with correct sizes front and back. I must say first impressions are they are a superb tyre in the wet, standing water is no issue to them at all. Greasy roads they hold on very well indeed. No chance of finding dry roads as yet but so far so good.
  4. Black 350z fuelling up at Roadchef services about 3.30 yesterday.
  5. Cheers for the heads up on that GMballistic
  6. There is more metallic flake in them, as I asked for it. Will have a set of anthracite painted rays with tyres for sale soon as I did not like them on the car for some reason. Nothing special about my nuts
  7. Just put these back on the car after being refurbished, Nice job done by the guys at Carrick Alloys. Please excuse the dirtiness of the car!
  8. Going to upgrade mine shortly to 6000k bulbs, definitely jacking the car up to do it though. Will just install 6000K H7 high beam kit while I am about it so the light output matches on all the bulbs.
  9. Going to tackle putting this on at the weekend, should be fairly straightforward I hope. It'll be the usual getting the old one off will be the biggest problem likely. Early Christmas present for the car.
  10. Didnt get into the red before I stopped noticed it very quickly, so should be fine.
  11. Fitted some shiny new silicon hoses the other day, been running around in the car since with no problems untill tonight. Went to pick up a parcel from nearby fedex on my return suddenly temp shoots up rapidly. Result, a bottom radiator pipe slashed through by one of the pulleys at front of engine. Never noticed at the time but I had put it on the wrong way round, doh! Just incase anyone else is doing this its an easy mistake to make.

    Thanks.

Thanks for this lovely big box and the contents of it, hopefully get this on soon weather permitting.
  13. Great fit and very well made bit of kit, and the car is much quicker now too, hehe. Thanks again.
  14. Apex, don't know as yet have not had time or weather to look at a mounting point for the ballasts. Should not be a big problem with slim ballasts though.
  15. Having fitted many Hid kits to cars over the past 10 years all I can say is I have found that the ones of Ebay are as good as any. In all the installs I have done there has only been 1 ballast failure and 1 bulb failure. I always use the 35w slim ballast type these days and have a set waiting to put into the Z main beam, weather is against me just now though. A couple of times the polarity on the connections to the car looms have been the wrong way round but that is easily fixed. I find that 6000k gives the best light. Got this waiting to go in mine. http://www.ebay.co.u...oMAAOSw14xWJahN Might also add while I am doing the job will be upgrading the dipped beam bulbs to 6000k as the OEM are 4300k
  16. !973 Mk1 Capri 1.6 German import exactly like the one in the picture. Bought for £90 ran it for 5 years and sold it for the same price. Wish I still had it.!
  17. Big thanks to Adrian for getting my new underbody tray to me in very quick time. Very nice bit of kit, not fitted it yet but wont have any problem doing that when the weather permits. Great guy to deal with.
  18. Please move to 350 styling, my bad.
  19. I was looking at your mod thread, where did you get paint to match the brembos to paint that bit on the discs? Sorry my mistake thats the spacer Iwas looking at
  20. I wasn't going to do anything with the new car, but I seem to have a switch in my brain that says make the car personal to me!!! So this is probably just the start!
