  1. Southbound this morning around 8, Lancashire Tidy car
  2. Great turnout, and was great to see some more 350s and 370s! Here's our pics from the TT meet and also Porsche in the Glen afterwards: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/br7qrqsqgiw43bv/AADmm_UFkkumnjTx6X5gFrV4a?dl=0 The blue 370 was very tidy and Mrs fatrab was very impressed with it, that's the first blue she's seen in the flesh, but George's Nismo is still her favourite! (can you tell??) Was great to meet you all, Cheers!! Jan & Rab
  3. Just off the M8 at eurocentral, behind the Dakota hotel
  4. It starts at 9.45am, prob head down to ayr around half 11 if the weather's good to us
  5. I'm only coming from Hamilton so I'll just get you there. I'll be in a red focus st
  6. It starts around 9.45am, the main organisers are also having a porsche meet at calderglen park so they'll be leaving to head there at some point. We're going to head down to Ayr afterwards if the weather's nice, along with a few others that I know from the gt86oc if anyone fancies a run
  7. Welcome! Yeah it'd be good if you could make it on Sunday morning, we've not got one yet but will be there to have a gander at everyone's cars!
  8. Just wanted to give this a little bump, its this Sunday so b nice to see a few Zeds in the flesh..
  9. Cheers, but we have stopped looking for now. We've agreed that we want a Nismo Mk1 and we know of a good one that might be coming up for sale so we're on hold at the moment!
  10. Really nice! Suits the white much more than the quartz imo!!

    burble

Assuming you want a Scoobie-type burble, you'd need to play about with manifold lengths. Unequal length manifolds into a single pipe. Easy to do on a scoobie, not so much on a V6.
  12. We've been looking for a Nismo - YYEEESSSS WE'VE FOUND ONE!!!!!!! Jeeezuus sweet mutha f.......... what the.... why..... ?????? I need eye therapy..
  13. Tbf ATS Euro master have been fair with me even fitted a set of tyres for free at king lynn depot as i was at a drift day and the tyre guy just left at 11am so had to try and find a place to fit them locally at 12pm on a Saturday when every where was closing , then again when i had the mpss fitted at my house, as he didnt have to remove my wheel from the car he fitted a set of tyres on another set of wheel for free I'm sure there's good branches and some quality techs out there but I'veseen with my own eyes and heard so many other peoples stories for it to just be a few isolated incidents. I've bought tools from halfords too when their flash sales are on, I just wouldn't let them put a spanner near my car
  14. Halfords, Kwik-Fit, take your pick from the rest of the "fast-fit" mob, if you don't have your wits about you they will take you for a ride. It has been proven over and over again! Unless you have a puncture and you're 100 miles from any other local reputable garage I wouldn't set foot in any of them. I remember being forced into one when I had a company car a few years ago and hearing them tell a costomer that her brake pads need replaced because they were 55% worn! AAAAAAAGHH they make my blood boil. I'll add Arnold Clark to that list too. Robbing, arrogant, incompetent b.......
  15. Does anyone fancy the Breakfast Meet at Eurocentral on the 30th August? We'll be there in our Focus ST but we're keen to see as many Zs as possible before we eventually commit to buying one!
  16. Still no joy. Not 100% happy with the one yesterday so looks like findiing the right car is going to take some time. Not in a rush to buy so happy to wait.... for now! Thanks everyone for the valuable info
  17. Looks like insurance write off categories are changing!! Wonder if this one is a Cat B+ or B-?
  18. Will let you all know how it goes on Friday, then I can decide what's next! Cheers
  19. Remind me never to let you near my car with a spanner in your hand...
  20. The fact that the one we are favouring already has the Milltek gives me 2 options really, try the hfc route and see if I'm happy or have a custom system made/buy an alternative and sell the Milltek. I think I'll try the latter first, I wasnt a fan of the sound of the Milltek on the GT86/BRZ's, resonated or not! I'm not a fan of fully de-catting (although I have done in the past, the BRZ's second cat was terribly restrictive and the AVO turbo kit deleted the first cat) so if the hfc route may throw up the same CEL issues then I might not bother. I need the car to be reliable. Currently speaking with Chris @ Tarmac so I'll see what I fancy trying when the time comes and Simon's Custom Exhausts have done a few for me in the past and I've always been happy with his work. May call in for a wee peek at yours G man on Friday if that's convenient with yourself? Should be there around 6.30?
  21. Realistically, I think the Nismo is out of the equation for now. It would've been a Mk1 as we both like the big-winged hooligan! So the plan is to find the best value, well looked after, low mileage 370z possible, keep it clean and get a feel for the car with a view to upgrading 12-18 months down the line. On Friday we are going back to see the first one I looked at, so all going well it could be a contender. It has a resonated Milltek fitted but was a little too tame for me, so the exhaust will be a definite first mod. Mrs fatrab doesn't like the red interior in the Black Edition. Haven't seen a dark blue MY2014 yet go best get googlling.... Cheers!
  22. Yeah I did see that, interesting sales pitch! She's not my type.... would prefer blue if it's not a nis!
  23. Thanks mate, were going to AllFord on Sun up in Aberdeen and visiting a nismo en route so it'll need to be Friday night/Saturday; Jan has nothing but compliments for your car though, and I think we have a plan...
  24. Having never set foot in a 370 until 5 days ago I fear jumping in at the deep end may be an unwise move. But I've had a few fast jap-scraps in the past so maybe "feet first" is the answer? Currently in negotiations...... (With Mrs fatrab) Need to experience a few more before we decide the right course of action!
