Got through the contracts now, however there is an error on it with mine and my partners name.
Originally my name wasn't even on it! Solicitor amended this in red ink, now where it says the buyer, there's my name written above my partners in typeface.
Now we spotted her middle name is spelt wrong
Phone to ask her to change it all in type. Again, solicitor said just to amend it in ink and it'll be fine....just to me it doesn't seem too "Professional" for such an important document!
Anyone had similar experience, am I wrong to insist the contract is redone?

Tony Bellew for me, definitely the best heavyweight of all time.
Jokes, surely? He couldnt put a one legged Haye down, hed get crucified against anyone decent.
Yeah I'm just ing
Funny how he harps on about being the best heavyweight outside of the champions when he really did struggle to put down someone who could barely stand.
His main point was that he is there for a dogfight and that haye wouldn't have the stamina, while Haye was clearly not in his finest shape even before the injury, Bellew seemed clearly very tired in the later rounds himself.

Well, good news
Mortgage has finally been accepted Just pending them receiving the valuation report, though I've received my customers report and it all checks out - funnily enough they've valued it at exactly what I bid at, guess I'm either an expert surveyor myself or the EA whispered in his ear

...Plenty of more about that to come
I'm sure there is

I know Strudul has been rocking the boat a bit recently but I read his post meaning cheaky, like a sneaky curry or sneaky beer, rather than a sneaky...affair. I think without exhaust related posts nothing would have been thought of it. Sorry if I'm out of line and dredging. And stu if your bra is on the floor near Dan, it's jolly decent of you visiting him while he's in agony.
Like a 'cheeky' Nando's.....with the lads.

not sure what the DE is like but the HR is soooooooo pants! It's impossible to read it while it boinging round all over the place, stupid flimsy thing!Don't know why they moved the dipstick, it was fine where it was
We've got it quite easy with the HR dips tick, the DE's are awful!
If you try reading it while not in gale force winds, you should be okay!

Really? Every chippy I've been to has pickled eggs
Ew...
Probably cos the south is weird. Chippies down there sell sausage under a fancy name, but not scraps. Then there's the eel liquor...
Fancy name? We've got 'Battered sausage' or 'Savaloy'

Well I get an update finally from the case manager, the update is that there is no update
Valuation is all booked as I was aware, however the case is going to the underwriter tomorrow now and they are 4+ days behind on their workload so I'm looking at next week before a decision from the bank...again.
-
Wow that's pretty crap of them, did they provide any reason why they came to that decision?
Is the second kitchen in a standalone part of the house? Only thing I can think of is that they'd be assuming the extra kitchen would indicate it being for more than use by 1 family?
It's a huge house with 2 entrances, 2 kitchens, it makes it very easy to make it as 2 separate houses and rent half of it out. I even made plans to convert one kitchen into utility room and the other to combine it with one sitting room into one large open plan kitchen. Both kitchens are also big-ish, fully equipped backing into each other.
Well, fingers crossed for you Adrian!
-
Well, at least you're on the right path and it's only a waiting game.
In my case it suddenly became funny, very funny. The lender changed its mind as the house we had the offer accepted has 2 kitchens. That's right, this is the reason, 2 kitchens is a big NO, NO?!!@WTF!?!
Broker found 2-3 alternatives, I should hear from him again tomorrow.
Good luck and hope you'll be in the new house very soon!

Yeah, my solicitor wasn't even aware she had my case until I phoned her to ask for an update..
Been waiting on the bank, all paperwork submitted last Monday and told we'd hear from them today but can't get through to case manager at all(Trying on several days!) Turns out it's just gone to underwriters today, they've booked valuation and we'll be hearing from them tomorrow now..
-
I hate this waiting game.

Thanks Yeah the easy parts done now I suppose, fingers crossed it goes fairly smoothly. She's moved out and we're FTB so there's no chain, makes thing simpler.
