Those are physical attributes that sit in line with development - then you think about peoples personal motivations and desire, drive and will to succeed. All these means thousands of things come together to create our ability to do something. Messi is a player who has scored very high in pretty much all the thousands of attributes that come together to create what we are, it appears to make him gifted, but I don't think there is some mystical 'thing' that has said he should be a fantastic football player.
This really comes down to the crux of what you believe in, if you believe a player is 'gifted' then you are effectively believing in a system much like Davey does (and nothing wrong with that). If you think about it nearly all of us are religious to a degree, how many of us genuinely believe in 'luck' - effectively an unproven mystical 'thing' which apparently some people have more than others
I believe they're Genetically/Physically superior and have also trained harder, had better access to facilities etc like you say.
On the subject of genetics, I would say they're gifted but not by some divine being, just in the sense of the word - A gift from evolution and natural selection!

I don't agree - some people are absolutely more gifted than others. No one's saying that it's possible to reach the top without hard work, but a lot of people will never reach the top of a given field, no matter how hard they work.
Yes, there definitely are genetic limits to a persons potential, be it physical or intellectual - it's just how we're wired.
Think bodybuilding, theres only a certain amount of muscle a person can develop in their lifetime. (Ignoring roids) or Runners for example, The types of muscle fibres we have in our bodies are either fast twitch or slow twitch fibres. Certain ethnicities may predominately have an abudance of one type of fibre which may lead them to excel at sprinting or Endurance respectively.
Of course, for the average athlete training would have the biggest impact but for individuals at their genetic limit, one with a better limit in the first place will succeed!
Of course that's science based, but you could argue that they're gifted

It all stems from the parents, with everything. My girlfriend does not like seafood, 'did your parents not cook you seafood when you were growing up'? 'no, they never'. But I bet you if her parents fed her peanut butter when she was young, innocent and maleable she would eat peanut butter to this day.
My parents practically force fed me courgettes as a youngster.
I don't like courgettes.

Why would you consider getting HTB when you've got enough for a 20% mortgage? I would absolutely be putting the biggest deposit i could into the purchase, and getting it over the shortest number of years possible... i.e. if you can get your mortgage over 20 years rather than 25 then you'll be saving 10's of thousands in the long run.
I third this.
No idea why you'd want to entertain the HTB scheme or a 95% mortgage at all when you have 30k deposit, the rates Will be so much better at 80% LTV

See him quite often now, same as an orange HR roadster. Used to be the lonely Zed in clacton but now they're all here

3 day check in, Don't want to speak too soon but the Injection seems to be helping, spent the morning out doing things in the garden with not much more than an itch which is unheard of for me!
A lot of Dr's won't prescribe kenalog or reserve it for people with most severe hayfever but if you're suffering and nothing else is working, it is still offered so just plead and beg!

Canada has never worked for me, i'm just as bad over there, except in the winter at -20c
Sat at the Dr's now crossing my fingers he'll take mercy and offer me something better than fexofenadine!
-
You and me both. Just got in from a 9 mile bike ride with picnic with my 2 daughters and I'm sniffing and crying like a baby. The wife keeps suggesting I blow my nose like it'll help lol.today has been ****ing terrible for me cant stop nose and eyes running
i have a special hate for people who tell me to blow my nose when my hayfever is playing up
Yep, my GF is guilty of this! I end up with tissue just stuffed up my nose all night instead!

Oh i do, I love honey. Every morning i have porridge with honey & every evening i have greek yoghurt with fruit & honey, doesn't help me so far though. Then again it isn't the fresh local stuff, it's store bought.
I'll have to give it a go before i judge but as my allergies are Grass & tree pollen i'm sceptical it will work for me

I have suffered for years with hay fever. Used to take Trilidan which was great, but then they found the combination of that drug and beta blockers was knocking off old folks so it got removed.
Now I rely on claratine antihistamine tablets and beconase nasal spray.
Good luck, never a good thing to suffer from
Yeah, my mum was using Trilidan when it was around and said it worked wonders

Polena from Holland Barrett works for me..
Only result i got for polena with a search is that it's a small village in bulgaria?
-
Haven't tried the honey, always thought it was a bit of a wives tale! But will give anything a go!
As far as the pills, i think I've tried most of the ones available. Cetirizine, Loratadine, fexofenadine etc (Madness how the branded versions of exactly the same tablets are more than triple the price!)
Have booked a Dr's appointment today and will plead for the steroid injections or even look at the sublingual immunotherapy though i'm not sure that's offered on the NHS and is no where near a quick fix
-
Do any sufferers know of anything that actually works? I'm desperate, for years i've tried all sorts to no avail & visits to the doctors just see me getting palmed off with a prescription of Fexofenadine which once worked briefly.
Recently, just before my holiday i picked up some 'Prevalin allergy plus' which is supposed to block the pollen even entering the body & i thought this worked wonders while in greece, not even a sniffle!
But i thought wrong, straight back to the UK & straight back to not being able to breath, streaming eyes & sniffing like i'm trying to win a cocaine marathon, it really is debilitating!
Anyone had any success?
