  1. Does anyone know if the 2.9 987 had the same issues as the gen 1 3.4 Cayman?

    New Z

Surprised that Audi is being knocked for interior quality, my new company car A4 sline is far superior to its BMW counterpart, 3 series.
  3. After much thought and mind changing I can confirm that the z stays for another year í ½í¸, the fear of an £8k rebuild has put me off. I have decided to wait another year and look for a newer model. Thanks for all the comments and information. I will make the most of another summer with a convertible and hope the sun shines.
  4. Paul, I had mine supplied and fitted at Kaizer Motors in Rochester not far from you, Sly the owner is a top man.
  5. I have the same on mine, great choice, great look, great sound !!
  6. Thanks Strudel.. I feel like I'm on a diet and your tempting me with cream cakes
  7. Still temped. It may be more sensible to wait a year and get a gen 2 ? I have tried to stop looking for the fast few days but I keep picking up the iPad and viewing.
  8. Had my invidia for 12 months now and it sounds and looks great í ½í±í ¼í¿½
  9. Ha ha, it's the wheels I love. Then again the wheels on my z are far from everyone's choice.
  10. I will be go and have a look tomorrow, my heart is saying yessssss, my mind is saying be careful. Thanks for the advice it's much appreciated.
  11. I kind of made mistakes on the z, my roof stopped working after 2 months, £1,500 later had replaced two motors imported in from Japan.
  12. On a review on autocar it says "A tiny minority of Gen 1 S 3.4s suffered bore scoring, caused by liners being to thin and inefficient cooling of cylinders five and six" Every used car is a risk and not sure if I should let it put me off.
  13. Thanks for the link marzman to all the troubles Adrian had. It has put me off to a degree but surely they can't all suffer the same issues. Every old car is a gamble but I guess the possible lossses on this is a major concern. I will have to check what the 6 month warranty covers.
  14. Seems to be about the right price for its age, marzman has certainly given me some doubts..
  15. Yes that's the one í ½í¸€
  16. Sooo tempted. It's a Cayman S, 2006 58,000 miles at £15,000 (12 months mot, full service history) Looks in great condition but not sure if there are hidden negatives
  17. Seriously thinking of going to look at one of these today. Wondered if anyone on here would recommend or put me off of getting one. Seeking any advice
  18. Anyone heard anymore news on this one ?
  19. Love the roadster in the summer but sometimes regret it in the winter. Great looking cars for the price but that also means you never get the money back you have spent on it. So the roadster is here to stay and it will soon be spring í ½í¸Ž
  20. Welcome to another roadster. You will love it when the weather warms up and the hood goes down.
