  1. Closed down due to a robbery I believe
  2. Debating having one for Christmas this year instead of ye olde turkey!
  3. I was surprised when I got the car too! Expected/budgeted for 18 MPG and usually average 22-23
  4. Sorry but after hearing the different stories of the TCS and a square setup I couldn't commit. Budget is around £1100, I love the ones that Chris is selling but I don't think he will budge on the price I'm afraid and it's a little out of my budget
  5. Any more inputs on this issue? I'm also curious how long people reckon I can safely run the box with the crunch/1st gear issue before I'm stuck with no gears?
  6. L2D im taking a guess at learn 2 drift? im planing a more time attack car than a drift mule but i think a few drift sessions wouldnt go a miss Exactly that! It's exactly what I did when I first got the car. It gave me a massive boost of skill in RWD handling, it gives you a real instinct of what to do if things go wrong. Kind of like an advanced driving school, but A LOT more fun!
  7. Bought mine in January (and had it insured, OTR) when I was 19. Currently 20 years old and loving the car!
  8. Hahahaa this is awesome! Well done mate, only know one person who took the test in their own car rather than an instructors, let alone a 276+ bhp Zed. Welcome to the club! Next step is to get you out with the L2D team
  9. What a car! Seeing these in pictures really doesn't do them justice! The presence they have on the road is amazing. I was in the gunmetal 350 and got my mate to wave then you pulled past. Should get yourself over the Falcon meets

    Wheels!

Okay so I'm due to buy some new tyres for my Rays and I'm debating just buying new wheels with tyres instead. What have people got? Ideally 19's and I'm willing to swap my immaculate condition anthracite Rays
  11. Cheers dude, where in Teeside art tho? Thornaby, where the mothers are young and the parmo's are plentiful. Where are you based, bud?
  12. So you're saying the Michelins are no good for those quiet nights with the odd drift on a private road?
  13. Can you buy them from anywhere? Just need a purchase receipt?
  14. Hi there, I'm in a predicament at the minute. I can get a full set of Falken 453's, fitted, for £387.82 I can also get a full set of Michelins, fitted, for £557.58 Now I know the Michelins are a better tyre but the Falken will be more than enough for my driving. Speaking just about mileage, which tyre has the best longevity? If it is the Michelin, does it have £170 worth of extra miles? Thanks in advance, Mikey
  15. Appreciate that mate, I'll get in touch with him soon. Ideally that's last case scenario however, if there's a fix without swapping boxes that would be ideal! Also the worry of buying another '04 box, could put it in and develop the problem within another few thousand miles
  16. Have already done this around 3-4 month ago and wasn't much difference I'm afraid. What year Zed was it from?
  17. Search of the forums didn't return anything concrete. Few questions regarding my 'box on an '04 GT. A couple of month ago it developed the dreaded crunch from 4th to 5th (this can be avoided by shifting slower). Now the cold weather has set in, it is really difficult to get it into first when pulling up at junctions. Could this be another problem or is it just down to cold weather? Any fixes for this? I have found a 'box for sale and hoping it's the CD009 but it is stamped with 'CD5 #1', does any body have any idea what box this is? It is on an '07 car at the minute. Thanks in advance
  18. There's a red Focus ST round our way (Stokeseley area is where you see it most) and it has a sticker on it saying 'Race Me!'
  19. I was in the GM in the middle of the road waiting to turn right. Couldn't tell if you waved or just talking to your passenger
  20. Had the same problem, haven't gotten round to remedying it yet but the American forums say the solution is to buy a clutch master cylinder rebuild kit for around £25
  21. General word around here is that they are cars that were never recovered from the impound. They get a choice of scrapping or re-kit them out as undercover
