  1. I've had a number of cars done by a specialist (south east). Waxoyl is rubbish. Dinitrol and Bilt Hamber products are excellent. There are plenty of splash it on and run merchants so you need to seek out a specialist. I'd recommend looking at the off road forums such as Land Rover and Defender. Their owners are often well into this sort of protection.
  2. The big panel that sits behind you when the hood is down, the one with the two humps, is being repainted and I need to find a part number or source for the clear plastic that is fixed on top of that panel in line with the rear of the hood. You can see it behind the hood when it's up. It looks like the same material as that side protection film you see on the sides of many cars ahead of the rear wings. I'd prefer that it's removed and replaced during the painting rather than being masked off. Can anyone identify it? It's the same shape as part 97186U in this link: https://nissan.7zap.com/en/ar/z+zx/z33/4+212+702/j/737/ Thanks.

  8. I have a GR Yaris - fantastic little car. I think we have yet to see some of the best ICE cars so I think I'm some way off knowing what will be my last one. Never had a V10 and would like to try one but there aren't many to choose from.
  9. Sold to maddog - great guy. Mods please close.
  10. Provisionally sold. One person next on the list if it doesn't go through. Will update by the weekend.
  11. If you want to arrange your own courier I will wrap it ready for collection but the courier will need to collect on Friday as I have a busy week next week.
  12. This is still for sale. I'm a little tired of people saying they want it and then finding an excuse so don't bother unless you're certain you can collect from Littlehampton, West Sussex. Now £50 as I need it gone. I've noticed there's a tiny crack I hadn't seen before and have updated the pics.
  13. Friday and Sunday tickets with roving grandstand access and programme discount are still available today direct from Goodwood at £127 each. Monkeybrain - it's probably worth posting a wanted request in the Goodwood sub-forum on Pistonheads where tickets are usually sold at face value. Touts are treated with the contempt scum deserves.
  14. I'll mention before the thread is closed and for the benefit of anyone who misses out on the K2 that I will have a K1 for sale in the very near future. I'll start a new thread as soon as I get it off the car in the next few days.
  15. All of which is why you should get the STR (or an XJR). It's like Jaguar got hold of the standard V8 and said "right, let's sort this thing out, money no object". I also ran an E39 M5 for several years and people will tell you the M5 is unbeatable. I prefer my Jag.
  16. By a strange coincidence I have first refusal on a 2014 car next year. Unfortunately I don't think the numbers will work for me as the car will still have a lot of depreciating to do and I don't think I'll be happy to swallow it. Yours sounds like a better deal.
  17. I have an S type R. Very rare car which means it doesn't attract unwanted attention. Very quick (much more so than a Z) but also very comfortable. It's other benefit is its size - nice and compact. I'm not bothered about people who think it's an old person's car. I wouldn't mix with anyone that thick. I've toyed with the idea of an XJR but I suspect it would be too similar to drive as my STR to be worthwhile. They also look bigger. I think you should expect running costs to be much higher with the Jag unless you're very lucky. MPG will be similar but other costs will be higher. Beware the valley pipe on the supercharged engines. They always fail (typically at 60-80K) and are a labour intensive job to fix. Budget £750.
  18. If anyone wants it send me a pm. It's in Littlehampton, West Sussex.
  19. Top service from Adrian regarding supplying a new gearknob. Many thanks.

  21. http://fixadent.co.uk/ Ryan is your man. Tell him Pete from East Preston recommended him. had 3 quotes, he's the only one so far that said it needs filling and respraying :/ lol... and that he cant do it. That's one of the things that makes him so good. Plenty of people will tell you they can do it and you end up with a less than satisfactory repair. He won't do anything he wouldn't be happy with himself. I'd be inclined to take his advice as not many people turn work away but good luck if you go another route. Sounds as if you need it...
