  1. Just an update for you guys who are interested in these, finally after a two week wait more LED's have been delivered to me today which means i can move on to making up the final item and getting them onto the car..

I'm saving up pennies for these..... It's also in the Xmas wish list 😇

  2. I might go the same route as you. Got quoted £150 by my local Nissan garage for new key including programming. Thanks for the updates, might check if my local garage will do that for me. Btw, where are you located? If you are near me, I might use the same garage 😎

no worries. I'm in Southampton, so a bit of a trek from West Yorks :D

Oh no.... Lol. We are planning to take our niece to Peppa Pig's World, looks like i have another valid reason to go down south now.

  3. I disconnected the battery and this only solve the issue for only 5mins or so, then the issue starts again.

I removed the LED that I replaced, factory reset my zed at Nissan dealership. Solved it permanently up to now.

Brought some LEDs from CS2000, and swapped then while the battery was disconnected to avoid any short circuits as recommended by CS2000 as well. All my interior lights are now running on LEDs as well as rear number plate light.

P/S: these LEDs does not need to be Canbus Free

  4. Looking good Martinjj, was wondering if you are planning to remove some LED on the pcb? Something like missing 2 LEDs after every 2, so that it doesn't look like a continuous strip?

Edit: having said that, might get away with an insert to create the look whilst maintaining the brightness.

  5. G3 can be quite abrasive.

G10 is MEGA gentle. It's a finishing compound which is pretty much the finest cut to remove the G3's more 'agricultural' attempt at a finish!

Did you apply them by hand or polisher? If polisher was it a rotary or DA?

We can take paint depth readings prior to polishing to see what's we're working with but depends how bad your paint it. This by no means will be a correction. Correction takes days and runs into hundreds of pounds.

This process will remove and fill some surface imperfections so you should be ok. The paint will be totally decontaminated prior to polish, glaze and wax stages.

It's a DA polisher. Hopefully I haven't done any damage to my zed....... Hmm meerkats......... Sounds like a weekend sorted!

  6. Very tempting as I'm only 1.5hrs away. I've just detailed my zed myself 5 weeks ago (Farecla G10 and G3). Will this detail makes the paintwork thinner? Sorry if I sound silly here, my understanding is I shouldn't use these compounds too often. Just top up with wax every now and then to build a good protective layer. I'm completely a beginner in the world of detailing and learning slowly 😎
