The car has done this since I've owned it an thought its time to ask about it on here. When the car is left to idle, I can feel the car vibrate an shake through the pedals an gearstick etc The needle for the Rev counter doesn't bounce when this happens. When I had it serviced at the Infiniti garage the mechanic picked it up an brought it to my attention he was reluctant to call it a missfire as the car wasn't throwing up any fault codes and the car drives perfectly fine. That's why I've not bothered to do much about it. Any ideas? Cheers

Infiniti garage I took my car to charged half an hours labour to change both on top of my P2 service Did it myself on my rx8 wasn't a difficult job on that

Yeah I've moved it about to see if it comes loose easily seems the same as usual but I'm keeping my eye on it I've drove a few miles since it happened all seems ok just waiting a couple of days till the new one is delivered

I managed to trim the bit that was torn an got the dipstick back in place seems alright but I went ahead an bought a new one anyway

Checking my oil this afternoon, I noticed the dipstick wouldn't go back in place easily. I know there a pain in the arse but I can usually get it no bother but I've noticed that the rubber seal at the top of the stick has split an when trying to put it back in the hole it's just bunching up stopping it from going in. Is the only solution to get a new dipstick? Thanks Craig

Well fans are gubbed Not totally as when I spun the fan myself I began to spin itself but I can't be doing that every time I'm stuck in traffic lol Called the dealer an they've given me a garage to book it in with

I'll start it and leave it stationary for awhile an see if it heats up an if the fans come on, what's normal on the temperature gauge an when should the fans kick in?

The drivers side fan does nothing with aircon off or on Passenger side did come on an go off itself Actually not sure if it was just coincidence but the passenger side fan actually went off when I stuck the aircon on I'm sure it's covered under the limited warranty thing I'll check in the morning and phone them

Do we know which fan is which? My A/C on or off made no difference but apart from that one instance the car was fine the rest of the day in traffic and out

Would this result in only 1 fan working? It's the passenger side fan that's coming on for me. I did read up about the fans being a problem. Car was bought from a dealer only had 28k on it, should be covered by there warranty hopefully

Well it's my first day of ownership and I've came across a couple of problems. I have the p1147 and p1167 codes, read up about these an have mixed information some say they are nothing to worry about and I have cleared them but others say there mpg fell. The light also only came on after the car took a speed bump at an awkward angle if relative at all? Other problem well I think it is anyway. Where should the temperature gauge reach before the fans kick in to cool it down as it managed to reach 3/4 of the way perhaps a smidge higher and I stopped the car before it could get any higher. I then checked the car once it had cooled and the one fan was running and the temperature was back at its usual spot. I did however notice that the with the A/C on no fans came on Again unfortunately this all happened after hitting a massive pothole, only at a couple of mph I might add, while trying to find a space at a fireworks display. Thanks

Have this diff oil left over from owning my RX8 will it be suitable for my 350z? An to go along with that what kind of mileage would the diff oil need changed? Thanks
