Can anyone advise if there is any difference in the cats fitted to an 07 car vs an 03 car? Are they interchangeable or actually the same¡ Thanks

Hi, can anyone advise for certain if there is any difference in an OEM exhaust centre pipe and rear box for a UK car vs a JDM car, it's an auto Z roadster. My main dealer states they are different with different part numbers, but the JDM rear box is no longer available. Thanks Rob

Mine goes in a Carcoon over the winter with one of their specialist battery conditioners. Works great, in fact just bought another for the wifes car which sits in the other side of the garage whilst we are away. Cannot recommend their battery conditioners enough.

Just another thought on this. Aren't all autos imports? If I am correct on this, then that maybe a deciding factor for you. It did not bother me, but here are some quirks with a JDM car. My speedo is useless although the digital dial is spot on as is the mileometer, neither the km or mph on the analogue dial are correct. Also the Jap satnav is no good. For me it just adds a bit or character.

+1 for this. I absolutely love the auto box in the Z, it really suits the car and the torque of the engine. My previous fun car was a E46 M3 with SMG II and I much prefer the box in the Z! Also it was a previso in getting a 3rd car with the wife so she can drive it The M3 forum was always full of members arguing which was best. For all this though the only option really is for you to drive both and ignore other peoples opinions.

Hi Barnaby. Not sure on Devon servicing, I asked the same question with no result. JFE in Exeter always seem good, but I think I am going to do it myself, I can manage the basic service easily and will do a better job than some apprentice and get my local garage to do brake fluid and coolant when the P3 is due. I was in Newton Abbott yesterday, you dont have a black Roadster do you as I waved at one coming out of Newton Abbott!

My exhaust will probably need replacing next year and rather than go for oem, I may well go down the Cobra route. What difference does a sports exhaust make to your insurance premium? I guess it's classified as a mod?

£35.00 for sandblasting and powder coating the W-Brace and £150.00 for cleaning and waxoiling. Sounds good to me, so I think I will move forward with this.
