  1. No il get the proper reading when i see him to pick it up, He just messaged me saying there between 6.4 and 6.7 bar which is good compression and doesnt need a rebuild yet. But my cooling fans are always running as soon as u put the key in and until u take the key out so thats next being fixed, and checking the injectors.
  2. Just spoke to tim and hes tried to sort the fan issue out and recommended a new wiring loom so thats getting sorted, Compression readings are good 6.4-6.7, And injectors are being cleaned.
  3. That rx7 is nice Jay kay , i couldnt have an auto though but i do love them in red i must admit. Mines registered as a 2.6 but there are a few out there registered as 1.3s . Just rang tim and hes replaced the fuel pump with a original item ( i fitted a pump from a bmw e36 328i as we had one spare) But the car still wont run over half throttle so hes guna have another look at it later. He also said when turning it over it sounded like it had good compression, im still guna have the test done for peace of mind.
  4. Exec i know what u mean they are so stunning which is the reason i wanted one, exactly the same reason i liked the 350z beautiful cars both of them. I haven't driven it yet but i hope its crazy fast and can keep u with my cousins r34 gtt haha
  5. 2003 350z gt manual UK car. Ive owned this car for about 4 years and im still in love with it but now it needs some work and ive just not got time and funds.(now got the rx7) Good points are. Lots of history and some service history . Oil and filter change every 3k by me. Bi-xenon headlights. Facelift rear lights. No knocks or bangs. Mot till december . Refurbished fans. Full Stainless steel exhaust. Black leather interior (bit of wear on drivers seat) Bad points are. Front tyres are feathering at the outside edges. Numberplate bolt dents all over the rear bumper. Engine has a couple of faults including using a bit of oil (may not be using oil , there seems to be a small leak at the top rear of the engine, maybe rocker cover gasket?) It sometimes pulls back when accelerating hard like a miss fire. Oil pressure gauge is intermittent im thinking its the cheap 8 pound oil pressure sensor ive fitted. Needs the front bumper painted badly and stone chips on and all around the car. When i recently drove the car it started spluttering after 2k rpm but hasn't done this since. 140k on the clock. Over the last year its only been driven short distances (24miles a week) Private plate will be removed before sale. The pictures make it look alot better then it actually is. Looking for £3800 May take a px or less cash without the headlights and tail lights Pm for more details .
  6. Cars dropped off at rx motors, u can tell this guy knows his stuff , walked in and there is so many rx7s and 8s even a 4 rotor being built. Cant wait to get it back .
  7. Mines pretty unmolested and imaculate inside and no rust anywhere i paid less then 3k as a none runner. I Could sell it easily now for more then i paid now its running but i wont. Just need to keep an eye out for the bargains. Still so happy with it and hopefully all goes well tuesday fingers crossed .
  8. TT350 im not sure, im around 5 foot 10 and it feels perfect for me i drive lent quite far back (gangsta lean lol!) So i dont have much issues with height and my feet touch the pedals perfectly. To be fair though no one will be able to sit behind me and its a struggle to get a full size adult in the back too.
  9. Also raised the coilovers and wrote a list of things thay need doing, For being sat 8 years the ohlins coilovers wound up so easily without any effort at all.
  10. Love the sound of the rotary , only problem is it only stays running when its on jumpleads without it doesnt want to stay started and its got a new battery. Thanks for the advice jetpilot i wont be starting it now until its back from rx motors
  11. The video doesnt do it justice really lmc, it idles very smooth but the throttle is lumpy it wont let me use above half throttle but im just glad it started for now, Hopefully tim will sort it out
  12. Thanks for the kind words ,even my elderly neighbour ran out of his house and loved it. Cant wait to drive it then have parts painted.
  13. So after a new fuel pump and some expensive sparkplugs this thing fired into life after 8 years off the road, to say im happy is an understatement. Now its started ive booked it in to rx motors tuesday for compression test and a check over. Heres the vid of it popping and banging. http://vid1257.photobucket.com/albums/ii515/tjp8/VID_20170419_203304462_zpstqo2g1zn.mp4
  14. Thanks zeezeebaba. Took the plugs out today i must have flooded the engine when i last tried to start it up cos they were pretty wet , so today ive deflooded the engine and fixed a couple of brackets on the headlight cover as it was only held on by one screw. Cant wait to get this started and drive it.
  15. Thanks for the help yeah il get on the mazda forum when i get home and il most probably get that apexi ecu then when i find one and get the car running.
  16. Thanks jetpilot for the info ,ive just uploaded a pic of the ecu is that any good or still recomend an apexi down the line ? Did a bit of work on it today fixed a few things like the passenger door , both windows, passenger headlight motor, fitted a couple of little covers that go over the seat belt bolts and took the neons out the boot. Still needs a clean but that will be last after we've got it started . Hope i can get it ready for for the drive to japfest lol! Thanks for the kind words guys i must admit i think im in love with this car Ignore the half finished driveway i was too excited to pick the car up haha
  17. Thanks guys, its still running standard turbos and not sure what ecu yet the guy i brought it from did say it was running over standard power but how much i dont know , Just put a new fuel pump on it as that was seized and might drop it at a rotary specialist soon so i can have it checked over properly. We got no power to the fuel pump either so got alot of fun times ahead trying to get this sorted.
  18. After a few years searching for the right one for me ive finally found it . Needs a bit of work as it has been sat a few years. The car came with a few goodies like gauges , controllers and after market stuff inside. Ohlins coilovers worth more then what i paid for the car. Hks pipes, massive bean tin exhaust, racing clutch. There is only 30k on the clock and apparently was owned by an old lady in japan who used to drift. Thanks for looking .
  19. I got my facelift headlights for £320 one off ebay and one off gumtree, youve just gota keep an eye out for bargains
  20. On my facelift bumper the grills are screwed on and can be taken off via screws behind the bumper. On my prefacelift bumper the grills are built into the actual bumper and cant be removed. Hope this helps
  21. They sell copies of theses on ebay for 94 pounds with 25 delivery Item number :122014288726 Not sure how well they fit but im also interested in buying one
  22. I had a bmw 328i for 4 years and a m50 320i for 5 years , to be fair they are very reliable cars. The m50 325i is a very strong engine also 192 bhp. If u get the 323i 2.5 (170bhp)engine make sure its post 1996 so u dont get a nikasil engine and u can fit the 325i inlet manifold and a big bore throttle body to it making it around 200bhp. Common issues are usually rocker cover gaskets, rear trailing arm bushes, suspension top mounts, rust and brake lines ect tend to be quite common to replace, cooling systems are very weak too and radiators do start to bow when they get old. Nothing majorly expensive and most things u can do yourself, these cars are very easy to work on. 328i this car was so brutal and tail end happy. 320i i gave this one to my best mate.
  23. Welcome 350 looks tidy, rx7 looks cool too ive been looking at them recently.
  24. Flew through its mot today, one small hiccup which was it emptied its coolant on the floor after the test. Took the car home removed the fans as they wernt working and cleaned them up and tested them and now working all good.
