  1. There was a PDF attachment on my email with a barcode. You print this off and use it as a ticket per instructions in the email. Is that not the same for everyone?

Your show entry ticket(s) are attached to this email. These must be printed off clearly to gain entry to the event or shown on a mobile device. All tickets will be scanned upon entry, you may be asked for additional identification such as the card your tickets were ordered on or your driving licence to gain entry.

  2. Met my missus at 19.

    Got married at 21.

    44 now.

    Everything was bliss.

had 2 kids 7 and 4 yrs ago.

    Big change in lifestyle.

No time to do what we used to do as individuals or as a couple.

Strain took its toll and we both felt as you do.

I resented trying to do THE RIGHT THING coming home after work and sharing the chors cooking etc.

Gave up Kungfu which I'd done every day since 16.

I'd say around the time 2nd kid came was hardest part of my life emotionally.

    BUT....we talked through it.

Make sure we both havr a little ME time each.

Obviously not as much as pre kids.

    This makes life much better.

Gradually the "can't stand being in the same room" feeling disappeared.

Love is in the air again.

    There is hope sometimes

Same here Headphones! Was 19 when I met OH, engaged at 20. You put that much time and energy into a relationship, it's harder to just give up and walk away when things get tough. Sometimes you have to get to breaking point first, but you work things out eventually.

Kids do put a big strain on even the best relationships!

  3. Gareth, I know we haven't known each other for long but I'm a good judge of character and its clear that you are an amazing, funny, interesting and passionate person that's had to deal with some real shitty times and still kept going strong. I know it's horrible when you get into a situation like this, you feel suffocated, lose sight of who you are, resent the other person, shut yourself down, stop doing the things you love for fear of upsetting the other person. You know I've been there and it's not a good place to be! Lots of support on here for you and the clearest piece of advise is that something has to be done, but I can't tell you which way to go....only YOU can make that decision x

  4. I'm surprised KK hasn't piped up yet!

I'm going through a similar situation at the moment, only it's a girlfriend and not a wife, which makes things a hell of a lot easier. Our issue is down to us wanting different things. She wants marriage and kids and I want a GTR (not even joking). Yeah, it may be a selfish approach from me but there is no way in Hell that I'll ever be able to achieve my dream if the marriage and kids come first because of all the show-cushions that we 'HAVE TO BUY!'. Also; her dad works in the diamond business so I'd have to sell my soul to afford the only acceptable ring that she wouldn't be able to live without.

Gareth - beer and a strip club?

S7nny....you're a fool! Your GF's dad is in the diamond industry!!!! Bloody chase after her....you'll be set for life!

  5. I guess it depends on whether you're into the whole blue rinse brigade thing.....if it floats your boat you'll have a whale of time there :D

Edit: Last thing I heard from my folks over there is half of the islands' attractions have been closed down and Lord help you if you need medical care whilst there!

  6. I'm back..... yay.

This thread certainly did create a bit of a divide between those who sympathised with me and those of you who just think I'm a tool.

Anyway, I know you're all itching to hear how I either was burned at the stake or got taken into custody and given a good spanking....

I took your advice and gained representation from a lovely lawyer who used constructive remarks like:

"My client is an idiot. He accepts & understands that"

"If my client were driving dangerously he would also be charged with dangerous driving and that is not the case"

"My clients car is easily capable of in excess of 160mph"

and somehow they saw that I was merely a nice guy who sticks to 30, likes kids, works hard and occasionally drives a bit too fast on an empty dual carridgeway.

So they fined and then banned me.

Moral of the story...... don't speed.

    The verdict just for reference..

45 day ban, £130 fine and the worst was having to get on public transport. Ugh.

Ouch for the ban! The fine doesn't seem to bad though! But I guess lawyer fees set you back a bit. Did you have to pay a police fine and victim support on top?

Why sell the car though? Most cars these days will do 120 easy so changing your car won't help ;)

  7. . Always wanted a Nissan badge n now I finally have 1 I can't wait to go. But my baby is a standard 03 fresh import, so it will look quite boring compared to some. Time yet to develop n spend on him though. Is there some do's or don'ts I should know for Japfest. Hubby n I travelling down the night before.x

Yay, another female z owner :) Watch out boys, we're taking over!

Don't worry about your car, it'll look great!

First time Japfest has done Silverstone so not sure any of know what to expect!

  8. Has anyone given any thoughts about how the club stand will be set out.

I think we have an opportunity to make ourselves look really good at this event.

I am going to separate out the models in age order

    We're having models hey? ;)

I've just cleared my calendar, I'm in

    I wish.

come on Craig, cancel your guests, not often you'll get a chance to show that Skyline off in front of 60 plus Zeds and on a purely personal note I need to see your car!!!

When you put it like that! :)

I want to see your Skyline as well now!!!!

  9. I remember going to Japfest at Castle Combe in 2014 and i was amazed at the quantities of all the different cars there. Does anyone rememeber all the white civics? I think there was about 20 of them all in a row all exactly the same. Not to mention all the EVO's, Subaru's and NSX's !

Yeah, the civic's had a good spot for their club stand & had set their cars up in a nice formation!

Maybe we should put a bit of thought into ours this year lol

  10. Pig, one of our kittens, has just been done over by the resident bully....the wound has narrowly missed her eye. Just wait until I get my hands on him!!

Awww. Poor pig. Keep an eye on it, tgat cut looks nasty!

She didn't appreciate having the wound cleaned.....shredded my arms lol

  11. Thanks! and good stuff, I'm aiming for a 1:50 this year :)

That would be a good time! You'll probably be quicker than you think though......Reading is one of the fastest half-marathons :)

    She's aiming for under 1:30 ;)

That's a really good time, when I used to run there were only 4 or 5 women in Flintshire who could break 1:30,

    Pete

They allow us to remove the shackles these days Pete, so we can run a bit faster.
