    Tappets

go with the thicker oil it will help it, i did this on my last car toyota supra twin turbo and it cured it, won't work every time on every car but either way it can't hurt to do it.
  5. Yes I did. They look fantastic, work great, are very easy to fit and as richard.hezlett above mentioned; "1st class service from Ian (14N) from start to finish". Ideals they sound awesome can't wait to get a set
  6. Well I have pm'd him so just waiting to see if he has any left or if not when he can get the next lot in with my name on a set
  7. Just what I wanted to see no cutting involved, brilliant I hope he can get me some now I want them even more
  8. Thanks GMballistic, I have just sent him a PM they look awesome and cheaper than the one's on ebay, Did you buy a set of these?
  9. Thanks I will PM him cheers. Fair enough, where did you buy yours? and did you have to cut anything or remove?
  10. Hello everyone, I'm after a set of bonnet dampers for my Zed does anyone know a set that doesn't make you have to cut and remove any of the plastic in the engine bay? I have found this set but not sure if you will have to cut or remove anything in the engine bay, does anyone know of these or fitted them there self? Here's the link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350z-Circuit-Sports-Carbon-Fibre-Bonnet-Dampers-/171227910977?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27ddfa9341 They are pretty expensive but I'd rather buy these and pay that price for something that will fit and work properly and look really good, rather then buy a set from china and find I have to cut everything and remove everything for them to work they they only work for a few times Thanks
  11. I'm very much into it as i always try and get the best shine , Meguiars is new to me I have never used it, always heard going things about it though. Perhaps I should buy some and give it a go
  12. Off topic sorry but I would really bin that T-cut if I was you. Soft paint on our cars from what I've read and T-cut is just bad news. I replaced mine with this Meguiars stuff which is much kinda to the paint work. True i heard they have soft paint but i only need to do it the once as the wax will keep the shine up and protect the paint, plus i don't go hard enough to go through the paint so it just takes the grime off and restores the shine I will look into this product you have shown me though looks good thanks
  13. Damn that's a lot in my old car which was a supra i had it for 2 years and used it like my zed everyday and i only covered 15,000 miles in 2 years so 7,500 a year for me
  14. i hate it being dirty too but i have just done a hard t-cut last weekend and put 4 coats of wax on it since so the dirt and water just runs off and when i drive it all the water comes off and takes the dirt with it hehe, so it takes a few mins to get it spotless with the sponge and i clean it everyday when i get home from work
  15. to work and back for me is about 18 miles a day so not that bad
  16. haha i take my car to work everyday and annoy everyone there as they all wish it was there's and it's my only car so it's gets used everyday and on the weekends i take it for some nice long blasts to blow the cobwebs out
  17. How Many Of You Use Your Zed As Your Daily Car?
  18. here's a link to the pics of my zed http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/82206-recent-new-member-now-i-have-a-350z/ Know what you mean as I had an JDM Impreza WRX that I sunk thousands into ~ tbh I really wish I'd bought a Zed back then instead as I know now it's a better car in so many ways for me. Don't get me wrong as I loved my Impreza and the rush from a 4wd turbo is incredible, ...but the Zed just feels like more of a real drivers car and just seems to effortlessly eat up the road in front of it. Plus it's proving more reliable as a daily driver which is what I need. I spent some money on my supra too not too much but i got it up to 380bhp doing basic performance upgrades and the zed is all standard and it really surprisingly hasn't made like 100bhp feel as massive difference. The zed really is what you call a true drivers car i really enjoy driving it and like you i use it as a daily car too just like my supra and that never let me down even though it was 20 years old! so i have no dout (hopefully) the zed won't let me down either
  19. I'm very pleased with it . Yep I'll agree with that and i never thought i'd say or admit that as i said i couldn't see anything beating my supra but i think the zed has done that especially now I'm used to it
  20. I have owned my zed for over a week now and i must say i am very impressed with it. Before i bought the zed i owned for 2 years a 1994 MK4 toyota supra 3.0 ltr twin turbo, It was a beast, and i was very sad to see her go, i thought I'm never going to like a zed anywhere as much but to be perfectly honest i really love it, and i thought i know they will be nippy but not as quick as my supra but man these cars a very quick for what they are a 3.5 ltr V6 Na engine that is a heavy car and has no turbos like my supra to make up for the weight these zeds are really quick, i drove a rev-up model and NO OFFENCE TO ANYONE that has the rev-up model I didn't think they felt as torquey all through the gears as the older DE model that i bought. I drove both models and I chose the older model as it was less mileage, a bit cheaper, the lovely blue colour, less stone chips on the front has a brand new MOT and full service a week before i bought it and cheaper tax though I know that's irrelevant it's still money I'm saving each year. I have now booked tickets to the japfest first year i have gone up not in a convoy of supra's which was good each year but all they wanted to do was over take everything and as i couldn't remember all the stops i had to keep up I even said why over take everything when everyone knows the supras are quick i hate speeding on the motorway especially on a day like japfest as you know the police are everywhere waiting to catch ya, I was worried for weeks if i got a fine luckily nothing mind you I did back off a lot . So this year i look forward to meeting some of you that will be going to the japfest this year it will be good to meet you guys. So all in all I'm very pleased with the 350z all over a very lovely designed car, and it's a lot better on fuel then my supra was
  21. I'm not really into private plates either but mine does have jet written at the end well JYT I don't think this looks like see ya good enough i had to look twice, when i used to own my supra my mate had one and it had bye bye as the reg can't remember how it was wrote but that was cool
  22. Thanks everyone for you comments, I'm glad everyone thought this is a good guide
  23. Thanks Alex Very true everyone does things there own way but it's here in case anyone needs it Thanks
