  1. Interesting stats! Saw a black 370Z driving past the other day... what a beautiful machine that is! Pity that it isn't rated as highly as its predecessor!
  2. Thanks for all your answers! I should stick with the Megane and upgrade to a Trophy 275, but it is FWD and French! You are certainly right about the 997.2s but then the 996s are the last cars for which Porsche didn't create a long list of mandatory options for 'resale value' purposes Looking at buying a car with your head on is not fun at all, I just want to enjoy it! I'll remember your advice for the GT4, they are rare indeed.
  3. Hey lucky Zed owners! I was just wondering if given the small production numbers of the 370z, it had chances of becoming a collector in the future? When I see prices of the latest Nismo edition going below the £30k mark with just a few thousands miles on the clock, I tend to think that this car is not receiving the love it deserves, and therefore never will. I have always been tempted by one (now own a Renault Sport Megane 250 as I need rear seats), and would happily consider having a Nismo for the weekend alongside another cheap runabout for commute. However I'd like to think of it as an investment if possible. Is it the road tax, the weight and the badge that altogether make the 370 a 'not so popular' car? You could get into Porsche 911 ownership (think 996 C4S) for slightly less money and they seem to hold their values much better, as well as providing a good driving experience. Biased opinions from owners are much welcome
  4. Miles better IMO than the previous iteration, look wise. Love the shiny paint as well!
  5. Something I've always wanted to do... The day I have the proper car to do it Enjoy the trip and please post plenty of pictures when back!
  6. "I feel evil" Goes well with the "Good to be bad" commercial. I have yet to find someone not liking it, especially in its coupe shape. Stunning car in my opinion. Then we saw one driven by an old man at Goodwood: dark green on the outside and dark brown on the inside. Killed it instantly and the wife was about to go and have a proper talk with the owner to tell him that he had absolutely ruined such a good car by poor paint selection
  7. Could help but notice the house as well! Lovely car and sound!
  8. Having seen and heard it as well, I must say the noise in the video sounds like I'm deaf, totally muted compared to the real thing. I think the whole street knows when Tim is about to go for a drive
  9. Nice one! That reminds me of a story with my grandma. When I was a little boy I told her with poise: When I am a grown-up, I will buy you a Ferrari! As the years passed she frequently reminded me about it. So two years ago at Christmas, I bought her a very well detailed special edition of a ... 1:18 Ferrari. Hopefully I never said that I'd buy a real one Only trouble is that it was wasn't red but black. She loved it and her reply was priceless: Don't worry about the colour, at my age I don't want it to be too flashy and my insurer will prefer it in black as well! Grand parents rock indeed!
  10. That's very good news Tim! So the 'new home' was not meant to be my driveway but funnily enough it stays very local! You'll get a chance to notice how nice it sounds from the outside by the way
  11. Thanks everyone! Can only recommend, good fun on the twisty road and they are becoming good value now, plus I haven't had a problem so far! My misses likes it because you can change driving modes and it really affect the car's responsiveness, so when stuck in traffic the ECO mode makes sense, SPORT it is the rest of the time! We always joke with Tim by calling our cars the big Zed and the little Z
  12. Hi guys, I'm Vincent. I've been browsing this forum for quite a while now and thought I should register. I'm neighbour with TimFF and he dragged me into the Zed world. I don't own a Zed but would happily have one for the weekends when I can afford it (bought a house a year ago and still lots to do with it). My daily drive is a Honda CR-Z, nothing that compares to the Zed, but still fun to drive and costs nothing to run. Here's a pic with Tim's car at Goodwood last year: I've met with a few of you in a recent meeting, and hopefully can take part in more in the future. In the meantime, I'll keep an eye on the price of these beasts
