  1. The other thing that gets me is the cost. Just looking at the prices £170 seems to be the cheapest for Silverstone this year plus an eye watering £65 for camping. Fist time I went it was a fiver to get in on race day, 50p to get into the paddock area on final practice day and camping was £1 for the 3 days. Including petrol, a couple of drinks and a few burgers the whole thing cost me less than £15 :) and I was earning around £30 a week back then. Hmm, I'll see if I can find any of the photos I took and scan them in.

    Pete

I'm going to Spa in August, Sunday only ticket with booking fee was about £365 each, we could have gone a week all inclusive just for te price of a ticket, let alone travel costs!

But I'm looking forward to it even i can't hear the cars as they pass!

  2. Good to put some names to faces, thanks for organising this meet..great day for it too.

We had To shoot off to finish some decorating at home but glad we took the time out to come along.

Saw all those bentleys going through Farnham on the way home too!

    Cheers, Mark :)

  3. Just popped into aldershot to get some touch up paint, and sat in the showroom was a new black nismo.

From photos I've never been a fan. I don't like the wheels and I didn't like the body kit.

I take that all back. On the flesh it is simply stunning, absolutely love it, really love it. I'd be seriously tempted but at present it's just too much money but god is it pretty.

Rosie can sit happy for another year but oh boy the nismo in black is a stunner.

It won't be in Aldershot long, the locals will rob it soon enough :D

  4. So RedBull within 1 second of the Mercedes despite having done 1/3 of the pre-season mileage, and bringing essentially a 'new' car to the grid....doesn't look good for the rest of the grid.

We haven't a clue what fuel loads they were running though, it's only practise. Until we see what happens in qualifying we won't know for sure

I've got a feeling Red Bull are sand bagging to be honest, that car has been packed so tight that once it's reliable is gonna be one hell of a race car. Even Lewis Hamilton said it looked good in the last test (when they ran  )

I think that's becoming the general consensus, I saw an overhead picture of it - so slim and tight at the back end (just how we like em :D ) - very impressive, I think it will be hard to beat once Renault sort their lives out

  5. I want a set too but I can't get past the circa £300 / pair. I'm sure Clark are offering good prices in comparison to trade but it's still too much for a nice to have! (In my opinion)

There are some copies from the states but some people on here said the LEDs begin to fail

  6. We pay more for everything !

You certainly do  . . just one thing to do . . move to another country . . just not Canada it getting over crowded

Will try and visit Calgary this year (for work) but have no intentions of adding to the over crowding don't worry ;)

  7. Indeed Doogy. I was looking at R35 GTRs. I test drove one from Tunbridge Wells NHPC and I was very impressed, but couldn't help but feel that it was almost 'too good' at what it did. They are awesome cars and are ridiculously quick, but reasonably undramatic in the process (progressive power delivery, glued to the road handling etc). I'm sure I'll own one at some point when I eventually grow up a bit lol, but for now I wanted something mental. I'd always fancied having a big power single turbo Supra when I had my BPU car and I figured if I didn't do it now, then I probably never would :-)

Exactly what I felt with the GTR. I started a thread on here saying similar. It is fast, but just didn't give me that thrill I wished it would!

    Sounds like I need a 1000bhp :D

  8. Lol well it cost in the region of £50K to build I'm told. The advertised price was £35K, but I've sworn blind to the previous owner that I would not disclose the final agreed price. All I'll say is that for the money I paid, I am very happy with the car I've ended up with.

It's an absolute ANIMAL and I honestly can't think of many things with more than 2 wheels this side of £100K that can match it for performance or the sheer adrenaline kick it gives when the LOUD pedal goes down :-)

Fair enough - at the end of the day it's hard to price a car like that. It's worth what it's worth to you and sounds like you are over the moon....and that's what matters :D

Hope it lives upto what you hope :D

  9. Excellent in my opinion!

Has to be the coupe though, the normal z4m isn't as good.

Amazing engine, proper manual box and great chassis. They are holding their value for the last few years...I keep looking!

Having owned and loved an e46 m3 for a few years, the z4m was something I always wanted to move onto but the situation never came about

  10. Oh my days i can't even begin to imagine what that car would be like to drive...insane I would think.

So come on, price says sold, what does something ridiculous like that cost to buy ... And what does something like that cost to build?!
