  1. The last two times I've taken mine to Santa Pod if I hold my clutch at 3k revs (any lower and its fine) to start my clutch sticks and wont release until I'm at least half way down the track (I can get the pedal up with my foot behind it, but the clutch itself is still engaged), I'm assuming this is a slave cylinder problem too (and praying not a master one lol) (even better if it is just a cable). I need to get it sorted for next time as its pretty tragic getting a 27 seconds over 1/4 mile lol

Its a DE on 74.5k miles and have no issues other than if I try and pull away from 3k revs.

Sounds similar to what was happening to our car, you could pick the pedal up with your foot but it stuck about 1/2 way.

New slave and braided hose fitted makes pedal feel excellent - it's not a big job actually

  2. After clutch and flywheel change, had the same problem.

Slave cylinder, braided hose and new fluid, clutch feels better than ever

Did you order a standard slave cylinder or can you buy an uprated one? I'm going to do the same as currently my clutch is awful especially went its heats up. Seems ok cold.

My car was at Kiazer motor so he supplied the salve cylinder. I think it was just an oem nissan one but a braided hose

  3. Our 350z started slipping it's clutch bang on the 50k miles they say, so I rang and emailed a couple of places. Sly was the quickest to reply and offered excellent value, unrivalled In fact. He had offered some advice via email on unrelated issues some time ago, despite gaining no financial gain from doing so. So I felt happy to take the car there.

Clutch and flywheel replaced with factory spec parts but on the way home the pedal kept sticking when the car was hot.

Spoke to Sly straight away who was very apologetic and offered to take the car back straight away, despite a busy schedule.

So I took the car back, a new slave cylinder, braided hose and fluid change. Plus I asked him to do a P1 service as it will be due shortly, and a gearbox oil change. Thankfully all issues resolved and car running really well.

Sly was very helpful, picking up and dropping off at train station, very keen to help when we had a problem (which I must add was no fault of his) and to top it off, he seems like a nice friendly chap!

Despite almost 2hr each way journey, I will always take the 350z back to Sly, excellent service and prices

Thanks very much, Sian has her car back so now I get an easy life 😃

  4. I REALLY want to try Anglesey it's just the distance putting me off ; do you stay over ?

To be fair the Ferrari was being a bit of a pain but I've had that in the mr2, they just won't move over on the straight. Last time it happened to me I just did a slow pass through the pits to get some space for myself

Awesome! will give you a wave if i see you!

It'll probably be my mrs but she seems to enjoy the whole waving to other 350 drivers thing, so fill your boots :D it's a red roadster with gloss black wheels etc, quite obvious :)

  6. I think the kit I used was the same. You need to do a little fault finding. Are you sure you used the front and rear pre outs of your headunit, not rear and sub or something?

I would try swapping the front and rear connections and see what happens. If only the rear speakers continue to work, your Bose amp/front speakers are not working correctly. If the front speakers start working but rears stop, then either your preouts on your headunit aren't working, or your using the wrong connections, or your headunit is only playing out 2 channels for some reason.

  7. Shocking by all accounts. I've only ever seen driving like that once which was at castle Combe on an open day for car clubs, there were all sorts from full track/race cup cars to Peugeot estates going round. At one point I had a mk2 golf and an m3 go past me, one on each side....needless to say I pulled in and watched after that. There must have been about 5 cars damaged that day, I've never seen anything like it before....until this video!

It's certainly not the norm, if you've never been on a track day don't let things like this video put you off
