  1. Yeah they are all top guys down there, also saw a VERY nice red roadster Z up on the ramps when I was there. Anyone on here?

I can only assume that's our one....black wheels? Having a service before we pick it up (just purchased).

  2. Hey guys. Question; is the aerial in the 350z amplified?

We have bought a pioneer avh-x3500DAB and I've been reading all the excellent info on here with regard to adaptors and fitting guides. I think I am all set but I've still got to decide which DAB aerial to use. I was going to get the specified (by pioneer) av-dab1 (internal windscreen mounted) but now I've seen these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/06-536-AUTOLEADS-CAR-RADIO-AERIAL-DAB-DAB-SPLITTER-SONY-PIONEER-JVC-ALPINE-/160923001331 which will basically turn the factory aerial into a dab on. States it has to be unamplifed, how can I find out?

    Many thanks

    Mark

  3. I have the same headunit installed.

The unit has the standard 2x front, 2x rear and 2x sub.

So, not sure about the statement regarding connections.

Perhaps they plugged the rear speakers into the sub output on the HU by mistake?

The sub takes its feed from the rear speaker output.

I lost FM totally why Installed the unit.

DAB reception was pants as well with any of the internal aerials I tried.

Tried glass and an amplified one.

I eventually see the external FM aerial for a body mount DAB one.

Now have full DAB signal all the time and no burble

Hi, we've bought an x3500dab, getting together everything I need to fit it. I was going to buy a pioneer an-dab1 internal aerial but after reading your post I am questioning if that is best. Do you happen to know if the 350z standard aerial is amplified? I've seen these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/06-536-AUTOLEADS-CAR-RADIO-AERIAL-DAB-DAB-SPLITTER-SONY-PIONEER-JVC-ALPINE-/160923001331 which look like a nice solution but it said not for amplified systems.... Thanks

  4. Good point on the price. £8k ideally but that's not "fixed" .... however £12500 is a bit too much for her to spend (it's for the mrs) !

We've been to see the £7990 one, I hope we can come to an agreement with the seller ( tradelink ) but waiting to hear back from them on a couple of things.

    Many thanks for the post!

  5. As title, prefer max of around 60k miles, must be red, and a UK car. All specs considered, GT or not. Cash waiting to be spent for the right car!

Contact me if your interested in selling or know of a good one. Thanks, Mark B

  6. Hey everyone, thought I'd post up in here first.

My partner is currently in the hunt for a 350z so obviously that means I'm looking, she'll be driving!

Were after a red roadster, budget is of around £8k. Ideally like earlier than 06 for tax reasons.

We've seen 3 cars this weekend, two were cheap at around £6k and we knew we'd need to spend a couple of k to bring them up to standard, which isn't a problem we both quite enjoy a bit of elbow grease, bit of a project. However they were both very disappointing in their own ways. First car had a massive dent in the rear quarter and a number of dings and scuffs. The rays wheels were in terrible condition and the remote for the bird view was missing. The second was overall better but had a small tear in the roof, around an inch long by the drivers window. I did haggle a good deal @£5750 for that 2nd car but I have to do some research on replacing the roof before I commit...problem is it's grey and she really wants red! I said there is always wrapping :-)

Third car was at the place I'm sure you guys have heard of, " tradelink " near Hemel Hempstead. Up for around £8k with 40k miles seemed good and pictures looked excellent. Unfortunately in reality the car was disappointing as it stood. Someone had painted the front bumper and drivers wing but lazily left the bonnet and passenger wing pebble dashed with heavy stone chipping. Also, it's come over from Ireland so speedo, odometer and trip info are all in KLMS which was disappointing. Also the roof had some stitching which was coming undone and the roof wouldn't fully go down.

However the guy at tradelink did agree to get all those issues sorted for a price which my mrs seemed happy to pay. (Just!) I'm just waiting to get the answers to an email from him before I commit on a deposit.

So i'll put a wanted post up in the right section but if you know of a good red roadster please let us know!

That's all for now, I'm sure I'll be around a fair amount especially if tradelink don't come up true to their word and I end up buying one of the project cars we looked at!

    Cheers, Mark.
