  1. will do at the weekend mate, cheers
  2. I am not really sure what you mean by standard spacers but I would hazard a guess Stevo is on the money and the centres have been put in the wrong barrels, possibly. If the fronts fit with spacers and the rears stick to far out, it would certainly explain the issues. If you take the wheels off only (nothing else) and photo front and rear hub, hopefully we can get to the bottom of the problem. the spacers have been fitted to the front wheels as without them the centers hit the brake calipers, Jay advised me that the previous 350z owner had the spacers fitted to the front. ill try swapping the centers round at the weekend to see if this makes a difference and get those pics of the hubs u asked for mate
  3. thanks for the replies all. right here is what i have done. the eibach spacers have been fitted to the front wheels as without them the wheels would not clear the brembo brakes. the rears have no spacers fitted by me at all and there isnt anything fitted (that i can see), as if they did surely this would make it worse by pushing the wheel further out. i will swap the centers round at the weekend also to see if that makes a difference also would there be a left and right side to the centers? is this possible or would it not make a difference which side they were fitted? i will get the requested pics at the weekend with the wheels off, but here are the other pics that were requested previously cheers for your advice all
  4. will do tomorrow when its light mate
  5. here is a few updated pics, passenger side drivers side
  6. hi mate, erm i fitted standard spacers to the front, but to me on the rear it just looks like a normal hub, dont see anything that I could remove, do they look like normal 20mm spacer plates?
  7. dont think the tyre will make a difference mate, the actual rim is sticking out further than my 275 tyre, so even if i stretched a 255 tyre on the rim will still be sticking out the same....
  8. hmm is it looking like the offset is wrong then? I will take some pictures tomorrow to show how its sitting at the mo, it already has an inward camber (the top of the tyre is facing inwards towards the car) the bottom of the rim sticks out far more than the top, i dont see how lowering the car is going to pull the wheel inwards to match the pics you guys have posted with similar offsets with only mm difference to what these are supposed to be....
  9. hi mate, no the rays were sunk quite a way in, i did check to see if there were spacers on but no... cheers for replies all
  10. hi mate, no the car is not jacked up in any of the pics. I had just finished swapping them so the suspension may have not settled down to its normal height. I will take a few pics tomorrow now it has settled and put them up, the suspension has lowered since them pics but they still stick out stupidly far! cheers
  11. hi mate, the rear centers are definately in the rears as they are slightly wider and bulkier than the fronts. plus the front wheels are sitting perfect. are each of the centers specifically designed for left and right side? If they are then no-one was to know as unfortunatley there were no markings or stickers on them due to a previous refurb. as the tyres are directional they are labelled up left and right so can only go on one side so i just fitted the wheels back on as per the tyre, but if hes put the right tyre on the left wheel and vice versa could this be the problem giving me massive offset?
  12. yeah i dont think there right somehow anyway of correcting it?
  13. hi mate, yeah they were Jays old midnight purple ones, were pretty sure it should be +18, hes just trying to find the thread from when he originally bought them. Unfortunately they were refurbed before i got them so no sticker unless theres a way to measure? cheers
  14. Evening all, Ive just fitted a set of volk gts, 9.5 on the fronts with a +17 offset and 245 tyre which I think look perfect and the rears are 10.5 with a +18 offset and a 275 tyre. I feel these alloys stick out a bit to much for my liking but I must admit i didnt notice this at all on other pics ive seen with these alloys. anyway as it stands the rears are un-driveable every pot hole or corner and the arch rubs the tyre pretty bad. the cars not lowered at all, just wondering if anyone else had this problem with these particular wheels as they seem to be a popular choice for the 350. if so did a simple arch roll cure it or was other arch work required. from what I can tell the arch is rubbing the tyre about 15-20mm in from the hard wall, so measuring the lip on the arch at about 25mm if this was completely folded in it should just about miss it? any ideas anyone, as apart from that problem i absolutely love them they suit the car a treat! many thanks all
  15. thats for all the replies guys, i did think they wouldnt be very good quality. am loving all the pics of those rays gts very nice, is somebody selling a set on here? had a look in for sale but couldnt see any? cheers all muchly appreciated
  16. that the size/width or the tread?
  17. My rays are pretty badly kurbed (previous owner obviously couldnt park) and ive been quoted about £300 for a good repair and respray job. So i thought if I just sold them on ebay for £200 its almost as effective to buy a brand new set, when you take into consideration of getting 4 new tyres included. ebay link what do you think of the above, apparently perfect fitment for 350/370 and comes complete with tyres 245's on front and 275s on back so should improve grip? look pretty mean on a black 350/370 i think thoughts?
  18. just read this from start to finish, robbed about an hour of my life but worth it... good job super looking car and i guess you like washing your car too
