Redex has proven results dont include it with all those phoney performance additives. When building engines I used to soak my valves in redex and the old carbon just wipes off it
However as said "some" premium fuels contain redex type additives Shell Nitro for example
In the OP's case its really not required though, any detrimental effects of running low on fuel wont be fixed by adding Redex , it wont do any harm though

Still haven't got over 24.5 on mine its averaging 24 at the moment but being an auto its never going to be as good on fuel as a manual and I am a little heavy footed.
I was more worried about 16 or 17 being banded about but that's because most of the reviews were in the US with smaller gallons

30/40%!!!!
Porker wouldnt even be in business if that was the case.
Christ I bet the 8's failure rate isnt that high!
Its happening often out of warranty on 4 or 5 year old cars between 30 and 60k so no support from Porsche
Dozen have manufacturers have had major product issues and it impacts their business very little
I'll take your word for it mate as youve obviously done your homework but I seriously cant see how Porsche c survive reputationally with a 30/40% catastrophic engine failure rate.
I'm not saying its a fact just what I was told , it is however a known issue , google will confirm that

RX8 engine are designed to wear the tips out, and use oil. That's how they work.
Approx 5% of M96/97 engines suffer from IMS failure, scored bores etc.
When i was looking into it and asked around figures of 30-40% failures were banded about , about £4k for a rebuild
-
I'd heard the Cayman rivals the Rx8 in the engine reliability stakes

What's the current price and availability of 370 systems ?

It's my old car, kinda regret selling it in some ways but not got anything to do with the sale

I doubt they know anything about engine building
-
Word of warning they are stainless steel and screw into the alloy block , so be very very careful tightening ! I would recommend draining the oil and applying a sealant to the new sensor NOT PTFE and allow it to dry for a few hours before refilling the oil and starting the car
Just wait until next oil change if you can

yep its easy they are all r501 bulbs

Sold mine back in November , got £9600 for it and it was tiptronic so well loved examples do fetch good money. Mine was pretty much as it left the showroom , a nice lot of options ticked and just a set of rotas and some lowering springs
Mine was stage one and ran about 300-320hp or so , returned 23mpg on a run and was a great car . The tiptronics are fab very underrated by those that have driven a few Skylines but some just dont like autos hence they are cheaper. Was quicker than my 350z HR but the 370 is a little quicker , neither feel anywhere near as fast thanks to the turbo shove of the Skyline but the handling isnt a patch on the zed, you need your wits about you
The GTT has the RB25neo which imo is the best RB engine Nissan ever made , unlike the RB26 the RB25 was continually developed and improved , the neo uses a few RB26 parts like rod and crank and is a strong motor
Parts are easily available and worst scenario is a 2 week or so wait from Japan. Trim stuff is getting harder to source though
But these are 15 years old or so
Actually just spoke the guy who bought this r34 off me and he is having to sell it to fund his house purchase
-
Nothing worse than a wannabe though , if you want a GTR, save up and buy one , making a GTT look like one is lame but mine did have Nismo bumpers and skirts which were a factory option
Some people prefer the rwd ones for real world driving , they feel a bit livelier imo

I've had my RS tuning done on the car about 100K miles ago. Everything seems generally fine and ok but I wondered if it needs redoing now, not for peak power but because various engine components won't be as good as they once were?
in 100,000miles pretty much everything wont be as good as it once was

You don't need to remove the seats, access is via the boot there is an inspection cover on the rhs, it's a messy stinky job, best done when the tank to empty or close go empty
-
W210's aren't the rot for a pastime , bought mine new in 2001 , it was rotten as a pear by 2009 and had already had new wings and lots of repairs under warranty by then
-
You might have trouble fitting the seat in the back of a R33 , the seat belts are a bit short, you may need to get an extender
-
It has replacement interior, its GTR interior so can't use the butt wear method.
I think I will still go for it, just wary that if and when I sell it on, that I will probably have to try and explain to any potential buyer what miles it has on it.
Pedal, belts, carpets, wheel all show wear as well
-
Cars are trimmed prior to going to auction in Japan so import docs are no guarantee of true miles
Skylines don't show their miles either on the 33 the seats, wheel and trim often look good well over 100k
But as I said buy a well loved example every time , I've seen plenty of sub 50k sheds

Nilfisk are better than Karcher because many of the internals are made from metal in the Nilfisk and are plastic in the Karcher . That said for occasional use the Karchers are fine and good value for money
