  1. Nice little video andy james. Pity it wasn't a longer run though as it seemed a bit of a short course to me and ended just as you where getting in to it from the looks of it. How longs the course?

Only 960 meters long so as you said not much time to really stretch her legs!

That is a short course. I prefer trackday's as at least you can get a good few laps and get into the rhythm more but still looks like a lot of fun. :)
  2. An example would be, on Auto Trader a 54 plate GT Spec with 105k miles but full service history (Trader not private), good general condition (wheels a bit scuffed but body work good. For £4995. But alas its now sold :(

I have just sold one of my MX5's and Im after a GT spec 53 or 54 plate for roughly the same money. Any tips would be good guys.

    Paul

Keep looking Paul they are out there but I'd up your budget a bit if you can otherwise you may just end up with a dog that need's more money spending on it afterwards anyway. Before I bought mine I saw a mint black 53 plate GT spec with 68K on the clock & service history for £6995 but somebody else had put a deposit on it. Luckily for me I found a better one imo at the same garage. :yahoo:

  3. Watch drive clean on you tube. Very good set of videos.

Thanks for that. Now there's even more stuff I need to buy. Lol. Seriously though very impressed with the two videos I've just watched. Thanks again for the help as I would't want to ruin my lovely Zed's gun metal colour paint work. B)
  4. I got given a Halfords 150hp pressure washer for my birthday some 7-8 years ago and it's still going strong (used once a week without fail). The crappy plastic wheels have fallen off & it weighs a ton but it's still going strong. Doubt it cost the earth either. ;)

  5. HI Guys & Gals

Im looking for an early 350z (on a budget), looking forward to getting one soon. The prices are a bit confusing though. Both Traders & Private, cars in same condition/mileage but about the same money. What should I expect to pay for a 53/54 plate UK car. Does the mileage matter much??

Do you guys have meet in East Anglia??

    Cheers

    Paul

Welcome Paul. I would of thought from a trader anywhere between £5000 and £7500+ depending on condition/mileage/service history etc.
  6. Cheers guys, yep im definitely loving the wheels makes the car now!

I thought it was going to stay standard (ish) but over the year ive had it its anything but  dread to think the amount spent

however its now and will be even more a properly awesome machine, does everything for me. Long comfy journeys, track days and fast road blasts plus being a daily. Great car!

That's the dream. ;) I had hoped for that with a 96' JDM Impreza WRX that I used to own but after spending tens of thousands on it and having the engine destroy it's self twice (not to mention diffs/gearboxes etc) I'd had enough and bought a more reliable Honda Type R instead. Unfortunately though I wasn't very inspired to do much to the Honda and just enjoyed it as it was pretty much for three very reliable years. Now I have my first Zed I'm in love again and really want to make it how I want it.
  7. Hi my names Rich

I have been looking at buying a 350z for a few weeks now so thought id join up on here. When my Civic is sold ill have about 6500 to play with. I went to the meet at Cosford yesterday (I came with Dave in the 370z) so have made my mind up I want one!

Welcome Rich. I just sold my Civic and bought a Zed too. Best decision I ever made. What Civic do you have? I had an EP3 30th Anniversary Edition Type R and let me tell you the 350 is so much better imo. :yahoo:
  8. My brother has a similar problem as he cannot park outside his house. Best thing is probably as you said to use the pressure washer at the local petrol station and once cleaned either get together your own wax/detailing products and use them at the petrol station or fork out some cash for the pro's to do it for you. I prefer working on my car myself so I'd rather just carry everything I need to the petrol station and do it myself once the body has been dried.
