  1. Thanks for the replies, I totally understand you may not want to advise if you think i might end up killing myself or worse others.

I read into it, that it was all a relatively simple process. You just need to know how? Do's and songs etc.

I plan on taking on all work myself on my zed, right up to the clutch change. Ive got the garage, tools and im hoping the ability, Maybe 15-20 years ago I've changed engines on my mini, beetles, 3 x on my 205 and helped with my calibra. It Was a good time ago though!

But then brakes are quite important on a high performance car hey!!

I guess a dealer will tell me if I need two bottles or whether one will do.

I've also found pictures of the fitted lines :)

  2. Hi all,

I've got some braided hoses sat waiting for me. I've had a good search and there doesn't seem to be a guide or a whole lot of info on changing them.

If there isn't a how-to I will take some photos on the way and do one.

    Could I please ask:

Will I need 2 bottles of fluid?

Has anyone got any photos of them fitted?

Can I do the bleeding with the front lifted and then the rear? Or does it need to be flat?

Does it matter if I mix original fluid with motul ? Just topping it up?

If I'm using motul Rbf, how will I know when my old fluid it gone and I'm using new? Do I drain it all first?

Can fluid collected in the bleeding go back in the reservoir?

    Thank you!

  3. Hi,

Ive been given the chance to install an Oem satnav kit but I would need a new cubby hole.

    Part number: f8260cd800

If they are as rare as rocking horse poo and cost the earth I will knock it on the head and get a double din stereo with sat nav instead...

Anyone got one floating about please.?

    Thanks in advance!!!!

  4. Hi Mike,

Just been looking at some pictures of your car. If these are fitted on your car in the photos they do look very good. I was going to buy some springs only next month as my shocks are relatively new. I was looking at Apex or tein on EBay for £105 and £150.

do you please know the difference with eibach springs to make them double the price.?

Also.. I'm guessing you wouldn't sell them without the shockers as it would be a right pain in the rear!!!

    Thanks Tim

Im on hour 4 now and I think I've got the majority of the pitting from the flat areas. The drill bearings might be knackered and I can hardly clench my hand with the vibrations but I think I'm getting somewhere!!

  6. hey willie, I got a scorpion back box for that £200 too. :D The y-pipe I kind of counted as a bonus!

thanks for the replies all, I guess im hoping it ISNT a japspeed now hehe

cant find any y-pipes like it on google images with that triangle shaped support bracket. I wonder what it is?

The thing is, I don't even need a new bloomin exhaust!!!

  7. Bit of an impulse buy today....

Bought a used scorpion back system and a y-pipe that looks like maybe a JapSpeed unit?

I will spend a good while polishing it back to full beauty

Do you think £200 is a fair price for these two guys? Is there anything I should be looking out for or wary of?

Cant stop buying things for the Zed....

  8. Well.... Plenum arrived today thanks "ZmanAlex" !!!

Polished it for about an hour with P60 Dry Sand paper...... not sure I will be able to see it through to the end... :(

    What ive found...

Its loads messier than I thought

Its loads harder on the fingers than I thought

It takes a lot longer than I thought!!

Ive spent an hour on half of it and about 20min on one small area. On this small area as a test I used P60 then moved on to P120 wet and dry. I just cant get down past the pitting. I think I need some tools on this. Will borrow a "Mouse" sander tomorrow and have another blast.
