  1. drivers side hanger remove and spacers put between hanger/car.

    10min job? nooooo! ! !

The bolts were rusted in tight, socket couldn't be used as there was a large plastic section blocking access and there was a next to zero manoeuving room with a 12mm spanner...

All done and now exhaust tips are pretty perfect. Thanks for the help

  2. Take it back to whoever fitted it.

The thing is its an hour's petrol to be maybe told that the exhaust is fitted fine and that the hanger/s are bent. maybe more money and a wait.

or..... a possible 10min job on my back bending or raising the hanger!

just need to know if it can all be done without the backbox coming off.

  3. Hi,

My OEM exhaust was slightly higher one the right hand side. I tried to move it and gave it a good bit of force and it was solid.

Ive just had a scorpion exhaust fitted. I couldn't see when it was up on the ramp and didn't notice till I got home, but the new exhaust also is higher on the right hand side too!!

My question is as it has happened on two exhausts it would probably not be a fitting error. But what could it be?

Could I bend the one bracket up or other down? or take the one off and put spacers between the car and hanger?

is it just the two hangers are on the back that need adjusting and will the back box need to come off to do this work?

I would take it back but its a good hour drive! Thanks in advance!

  5. HI,

I changed my front springs last night and in the process I had to loosen and remove the strut brace above the engine. I was really careful and marked up the top of the centre nut. I turned it two full rotations until it was loose and I could remove the brace....

Two hour later when putting it back together I forgot which way I rotated it!!!!! I turned it twice one way and it pushed apart and then turned twice the other way and it pulled!! Both feel rigid as before but one is wrong.

Please can someone tell which way I should turn the middle bolt or whether the strut is pushing or pulling!

  6. Front HEL lines changed today. Also changed the springs for eibachs while i was in there. it was going really well until........ when I was bleeding the last nipple on the last corner i forgot to check the fluid level in the reservoir!!!! As the front end was jacked up it made it worse.

I bled the inner and outer again and eventually got the pressure back.. I popped the wheel back on and gave it a quick test down the drive. The pedal got worse and worse and now hits the floor... Disaster

It was too dark to bleed anything again. I was wondering does this mean that I have to do a full bleed of every nipple or do you think it will be just that last corner that needs re bleeding...?

    Thanks in advance.

  7. I sold my e92 2008 320i m sport for the zed. Never looked back. Get one with I-drive. If your getting a petrol make sure the coils have been changed for the new Bosch model other wise you will be forever changing pencil coils. Wished I'd gone for the six cylinder.

  8. I bought 2 x 6.4mm p-clips from eBay. Item id - 160658309608

I've read if your going to be track racing your car maybe buy motorsport grade clips in case the clips melt with the heat from the brakes.?

Edit!!! Don't buy these they are crap!! Need larger steel clips

  9. Hi,

I've managed to buy a full boxed Nissan OEM SatNav upgrade kit. Apparently its all boxed new and comes with everything needed for a Nissan dealer to Add SatNav as an after sale option.

I've read that because of the price of the kit from Nissan £1200-£1400 plus fitting cost it was never a viable option. Well it cost me £125 so I thought I would give it a go..

I've read on the US forums conflicting reports saying you have to rip out the whole dash to get the wires to connect it. But Im HOPING they just mean all the middle section that I have done about 5 times since I had the car.

Can anyone please advise me on how big a job this might be?

    Thanks (waiting holding breath)
