another top quality write up Stu. Shame about the incompetent windscreen man... i'm sure he'll think twice about it before destroying someone else's paintwork

  3. ok that sounds good to me didn't realise the power difference over 1500 rpm
  4. I expect the engine will require rebuilding... again.... but just wanted to get my head around the figures they gave me last week thanks for the info guys Matt
  5. seems low following a rebuild would have expected closer to the factory 280 bhp least of their worries at the moment though just wanted to confirm my thoughts
  6. its my car...... i'm sad to say..... RWD manual.. its a long story but i think the number is a bit low?
  7. hi folks, Can someone convert 190 bhp at the wheels to crank power? this was at 5000 rpm from what i can tell.. dont know if you need more info? I worked it at 227 bhp at the crank using a convert on google not sure how accurate that is though. Thanks Matt

  12. When we leave Morrisons tomorrow morning we'll be heading into Skipton, up and to the left of Skipton Castle and picking up the A59 West heading for SETTLE I'm telling you because i will probable forget in the morning haha! when we arrive in Settle there is a car park and petrol station on the left "Whitefriars gas station" we'll stop there as there is a loo and you can get a drink
  13. We'll be stopping at Hawes for some food, I've been to the place many times and the food and service is good. Its only a small cafe type place and the chances are we wont all be able to eat at the same table or even at exactly the same time. That being said it should be too much of a problem there is seating available outside and we can 'mingle' outside and in the car park if their are lots of us. I have booked us some broken sunshine for Saturday morning with a small chance of a shower early on. Looking forward to meeting everyone for this brief but much needed run out! Matt
  14. Yep confirmed. please check the OP (opening post for full details) Cheers, Matt
  15. Hi Ian, we normally meet at the high street, at the time we'll be arriving i dont expect it to be busy. However, that being said the car park is pay and display. Morrison's sounds like a good idea so i think we'll go with that. Hope the Saturday is morning is ok with everyone? I know we normally run out on the Sunday but we'll have to see how it goes. I'm still working on routes, if anyone wants more info please drop me a PM.. Also, if your using Facebook you can search for "Sunday Drivers Club" in groups. Cheers, Matt
  16. So Just to confirm I'd like to run with this on Saturday morning. Meeting at 8:30 - 9:00 am in Skipton PM for further info Matt
  17. you need to post up with more notice, i would have come to this but didn't know about it
  18. Duggie your in the right place It's not been as active this year but we try and go for a drive every couple of months normally, hope to arrange something a bit different like a tour with something we can all do one day but its going to take a bit of planning (possibly camping) If you want to pop over and meet some of us we'll be in Skipton soon click the link below and register your interest or drop me a PM if you want further info bud Matt
  19. Hi all, thanks for the comments - where can i buy a slave and what fluid should i buy? I found this great video online detailing how to change the slave i hope i'm ok to post the link (hopefully it might help others if you want to have a go yourself)
  20. yes this is exactly right, considering a brand new clutch and fly have been fitted a few months ago i'm shocked the garage didn't think to change it as a "serviceable item" are there any guides on the hydraulic flue change on here?
  21. First of all sorry if this is a repost, i'm pretty sure someone has had the same issue. In this hot weather i've noticed the clutch starting to feel a little different. The resistance just isn't there and then finally this afternoon i noticed the pedal seemed to stick on the way back up. I'm guessing its a hydraulic issue but i'm wondering what else i need to fix this (do i need a cable) also is there a guide?? much appreciated, thanks Matt
