Hi guys,
So last year I bought my Zed, I was so excited that I didn't realise how low down the car was compared to Curbs >_>
And then this happened...

So what do we reckon, easily fixed or better to just replace the bumper? I have left it quite a while (It happened last July) but its taken me a while to save up a bit of money to start doing repairs/mods to the car.
I do like the original bumper, so I think I'd rather just get it repaired if its not going to cost too much.

RT performance wrapped a Roadster in white, looked the dogs imho
That looks beautiful!
-
It replaced the cup holder where a conventional glove box would be on the revamped interior. I think it's meant for business cards........
I put a Tyre Tread gauge in there. Fits perfectly.

Currently got a Gunmetal 06 GT Zed, which I personally think is the nicest standard colour it comes in (I'm sure plenty of you will disagree ). However, after seeing a few cars on YouTube (GTRs and Ferraris mostly) which a Matte White paint/wrap job on them it got me thinking about my Zed.
I imagine it's a fairly uncommon colour, but does anyone have pictures of what it looks like on a 350? My friend has a Gloss white wrap on his, so I reckon I have a decent idea from that what it would be like, but just want a bit more to go on before I decide to save up to get it done.
For those that care, I'd also be looking to get a few Carbon Fibre details on the car too (Side Mirrors, Rear Diffuser(I think its called that), Front Lip, etc).
In my head it all looks beautiful, but I am just worried that in real life it won't turn out so well

I have seen a colour I like, which I thought was Matte Bronze, but then I saw someone's topic on here who said he got Matte Bronze and they look completely different so I am not sure...

I want one!

Seeing this topic makes me weep for my wallet. I've only just started buying my first little mods for my Zed so seeing this makes me realise how deep I'm going to have to reach.
Great thread and beautiful Zed. Can't wait to see what you do next :-D

Low level crime? Since when was dangerous driving such a trivial thing? The police need to get a grip and do their job properly.
Sorry to hear about your car, at least it was only your car that was damaged and not you.

I'd love a set of these if you still have them in.
-
I'd be interested in one of these if you still have some in stock.

Any excuse to pic whore I recently had mine refurbed in what the fella described as "chrome effect". Whilst the name sounds rubbs, I'm well pleased with the new look. I was tempted by dark, but with GM the wheels vanish IMHO.
Just need some new caps to finish it off. GL with choosing, I agonised for weeks and very nearly went for cobalt blue!
Ooo, they do look nice, a little too close to stock IMO though for my tastes.
If you have a nosey through the "media" section there is an area for each colour of car, select GM and i'm sure you'll see plenty of pics of refurbed Rays in various colours
Oh, thanks! Still getting used to the forum, so I don't know about all these hidden little sub-forums ^_^

Splendid, could I get a PM as well then

My Rays have been in dire need of some love and attention ever since I bought the car last year. I think it is about time I got them sorted. I was originally going to get new alloys all together, but have since decided that since I do actually really like the Rays on the GT car, just respraying them a different colour might be the best option.
Do you guys have any decent pics of a Gunmetal car with Rays of various colours that I can take inspiration from? It's so hard to choose a colour when you don't know what it is going to look like on your exact car =/
Any opinions or pictures are very much appreciated.

Great guide! Now I just need to find the best place to buy some
-
Still got these in?
Also, how easy are they to switch over?
-
Being the complete newbie that I am, how would I know which engine my Zed falls under?
Also, does doing things like this affect Insurance premiums or is it not something that needs to be declared?
-
Find that a bit odd as my daughter just passed her test , has 2005 jazz 1.4 and only pays £1800,
Manchester and surrounding areas is horrendous for car insurance and the area has a huge impact on price, not an £8000 impact though.
I remember when I moved to Manchester for Uni my Insurance quote tripled. Needless to say I left my car at my parents.

Awesome, glad to see someone in my home town I can take my car to for any work I need doing.

Welcome! How far North West? I'm around the South Lakes / North West Yorkshire if you're anywhere nearby
I'm in the wonderful place that is Warrington. Well I say wonderful, it's a bit crap really.

Hey guys, bit of a topic hijack but does tinting help in any meaningful way to keep the car cooler on the inside? I've found it impossible to get the car cool during even slightly warm days so this would kill 2 birds if it helped with that too.
-
That looks really smart. Might have to get some fitted myself. I've been meaning to have a little tinker under the bonnet for a while now to get it all clean and looking nice. These will go a long way to helping that.

Since 90% of the things I have google'd in the past month have led me to this website eventually I figured it was high time I signed up and said hello!
Bought my 350z last July and just now have started to get a bit of cash behind me to start splashing out, so I expect I'll be spamming the forums asking for help soon. I know pretty much nothing about the technical side of cars =/
Here's to hoping my MOT passes with no problems next month!
