  1. I'm not sure you take the existing grille off, I know I didn't on mine but that was a pre-facelift, I can't see why the facelift one would be different apart from the step in the middle

SMD - on the facelift the painted slats are positioned quite far forward. If you look from the side they protrude out from the grille aperture hence need to be removed.

To OP - where are you based?

    David

I live in Warrington. So no doubt I am no where near anyone else

  2. Right, so it is the right one. Hmmm, what the hell am I doing wrong then? =/

Okay, thanks guys. Guess I'll just have to have another stab at it tomorrow see if I can some how get it to fit better. If you have any more advice in the mean time, feel free to share :)

  3. Hey guys, I bought a Zunsport Grill in Black for my car from Steve @ Redline Styling the other day. I have managed to get as far as taking those two plastic bits out from behind, and then unscrewing the slats (or whatever they are called) so it looks like in the pictures;

However, now I have got to the part where I am meant to just screw the Grill on, it doesn't actually have anything to screw in to. The holes don't line up with those two plastic bars so I can't screw them in to that (We tried doing it at an angle too, but the screws dont stay in). The grill also seems like it is too tall to actually fit on properly too.

Is there something that I have missed here? Some extra step I am meant to take? I can only assume that Steve has sent me the right part (Part number is ZNS 18807), so I must be doing something wrong, but for the life of me, me and my dad can't figure it out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and if you need any more info, or more pictures let me know and I shall provide.

    Thanks,

  4. Hey guys, I bought a Carbon Fibre Nismo Gear Knob from Steve@Redline Styling the other day (Thanks Steve!) managed to swap the knobs over no problem but I have noticed that the new knob makes a slight rattling noise.

I have tightened it as much as possible but that hasn't fixed it; gonna try and see if I can get it any tighter in a minute.

One thing I did think about though was when I took the OEM Knob off, there was a little gold ring around the the shaft, am I meant to take this out as well or do I leave that on with the new Knob? I thought it could be that is making the noise.

    Any thoughts?

  5. Here's a Zunsport grille and front lip that we supplied and fitted a few weeks ago with no fitment issues... :)

Got any more pictures of that Front lip? It's pretty nice, would be tempted to get one once I get some more funds again.

  6. Sam McGoo runs those. Customs is placed on the cost for shipping and the value of the "declared" value.

    My ears burning?

These bizarrely look quite good on Sams car

    Cheers....I think...

I just PM Sam for some info.

    PM replied to.

I'd rather pay £300 than put those on. Sorry Sam!

:) No problem Dan. It'd be a sad, boring life if we all liked the same thing!

Sam's zed is a supercharged heavily modded Zed so it can pull of quite frankly rediculous lights....

    Subtle Dave.

To be honest, I don't like them from some angles.....but I do prefer them to the OEM ones.

For info...Mine aren't tinted or carbon look. Looks like they have SAE numbers on (assume thats some sort US standards thing??) and I've never had any bother come MOT time at several different stations.

    That is one beautiful car.
  7. Hi guys,

Just recently started doing a few mods here and there on my Zed (all purely cosmetic so far), but now I have most of what I want doing cosmetically out of the way (I want to keep it looking fairly stock for now) I am looking towards performance mods.

I won't be doing anything for some time yet I wouldn't have thought, as I would want to save up the money specifically for this rather than dipping in to savings I already have. Just trying to get a rough idea of the best places to start. I think I read (unless my newbie self misinterpreted it) that it is best to do certain mods before others, to get the most out of the mods. So it is things like that I am curious about.

The cost of it all isn't a huge factor - I don't mind spending cash if it's worthwhile - but I want to make sure that I do things properly, in the right order so I am not wasting money.

I know its a fairly broad request, but you guys have been really friendly and helpful so far ;)

    Thanks,
