  1. I found out what the problem was. Weirdly it was the drivers seat causing the problem. I had moved the seat back and it was touching the subwoofer housing. So any tiny vibrations were being translated from the seat to the interior. I moved the seat forward a touch and bingo, the squeaking stopped.
  2. I have a Coupe. It's a GT4. I will have a good look tomorrow.;
  3. Hi Guys, For the last day or so my 350Z has developed a squeaking noise in the cabin, literally everywhere. Sounds like it's coming from the front, the sides and the rear. It's almost like the car is flexing, as if it's lost rigidity as the ride doesn't feel quite right. Any ideas what it might be? Thanks.
  4. I was looking through the GT4 Current Owners thread and noticed something that I hadn't really noticed before. The bumper directly below the front grill is yellow on a lot of the GT4 pics. I did spot one pic where it was black and on my GT4 it is black also. Would I be correct in assuming that the black bumper is an aftermarket mod? I'm not sure myself as it was like it when I bought the car.
  5. I have number 129 in UY. Bought it June/July time 2013, currently mileage is 53K. The previous owner had made a few mods. A plenum spacer, a pop charger and a japspeed exhaust. Since having the car myself i have uprated the brakes and only yesterday bought an invidia gemini exhaust system.
  6. Need some help on a rather annoying issue. For a while now i have had this annoying sound coming from the back of my Zed. It seems to be coming from within the rear brace. I think it might have been a lug or something that has broken off. I have removed the plastic covers to reveal the metal brace and I think that whatever it is must have fallen through one of the holes into it. The brace itself is welded at both ends, so am wondering if anyone has any ideas about getting whatever it is, out. Thanks.
  7. As days go, this one hasn't been too bad. I've ordered my new exhaust (Invidia Gemini) for my Z. I've sent off the centre console to be dipped and I have bought myself a new double din headunit too. Not a bad day at all. LOL. Pics will follow.
  8. Hi CS, Have you got any pics of the wheels in question?
  9. Thanks for all the ideas. What colour alloys do you think would work best on a yellow GT4?
  10. My budget for a set of alloys would be around £1500.
  11. Thanks for the comments. Just really looking for a set of alloys that look out of the ordinary. I know a lot of people like the Rays that you can get, but for me I just find them too angular and plain. I tend to be drawn to alloys that have more of a rounded feel and that look just a bit different. Any suggestions or pics would be appreciated. Thanks.
  12. Hi Guys, Just wanted to get your opinions on these wheels. Cheers.
  13. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.
  14. I recently purchased a secondhand centre console that I want to install in my car. However, the current console houses a sat nav, whereas the new one just has the cubby hole. Can anyone advise on how easy it is to remove the Sat Nav unit and would any remaining cabling for it also need to be removed? Thanks.
  15. I have been a member of the forum for a while now and whilst looking at my profile this evening I noticed my "Members Title" was "Z Hopeful". Admittedly when I first joined the forum I may not have had a 350Z, but I do now so was wondering how I can change the "Members Title" to say "Z Owner". I have used the "Edit My Profile" option, but can seem to see an option to change it myself. Thanks.
  16. Hi, just been reading this thread. Never been to Japfest before or any other car show come to that and i'm not sure how it all works to be honest. I'm not too bothered about getting a ticket through the forum. I might just pop on the japfest website and buy a public ticket for now as I wouldn't have a bloody clue what to do when I got there anyway.
  17. Thanks for that guys. You've convinced me. I will keep you all posted on progress.
  18. Thanks for the Horsham Developments recommendation. I was looking at them online last night and am glad that they have been mentioned on here. I wanted to make sure that if I do get the UpRev Mod, it's a company with a good reputation that does it.
  19. Was really interested in reading this thread as I have been looking at the uprev mod. Can anyone recommend a good company in the South/South West that does this? Thanks.
  20. I am interested in performance mods, just really needed some feedback in order to justify the cost to myself. LOL.
  21. Hi All, I have been online this evening reading about performance mods and a question crossed my mind and I wanted to put it to you guys on the forum. I know you can get superchargers, nitro, etc installed, but with my car for instance, it's top speed is limited to 155 mph, so is adding performance mods to my car really going to make much difference? I could throw on a supercharger, get some Nitro on the go, mod the car up to the max, but it will still only do 155 mph. I am aware that there is more to performance mods than just increasing the speed. It would just be frustrating to say improve a car from 300bhp to 400bhp but never be able to see the true potential of that gain. It would be like having a 1000bhp Bugatti Veyron and limiting it to 150 mph. Bear in mind that this is all theoretical by the way. I've no inclination to want to max my car anyway. Am just interested in hearing your thoughts on this.
  22. Thanks for the info. What about the Sat Nav. Is it easy to remove?
  23. Hi Guys, I have today taken delivery of a second hand centre console and gear stick surround for my 350Z. I'm wanting to try my hand at painting/respraying it and would like some advice on the best way to go about it. Would I be right in thinking that because it is textured, I would have to sand it smooth before applying the primer, etc and can I use standard spray can primers and colours? In addition, I'd like to remove the Sat Nav unit as I'm not a Sat Nav person and would prefer to use the Cubby hole for storage. Is it easy to remove? Hope you can help. Thanks.
  24. The rears are 245's, same as the front. I only noticed today when I was cleaning my car. It hasn't been a problem, but I'm looking to change the wheels anyway and want to run with larger rears. The set up I would like is 245's on the front and 275's at the rear.
