Well I took the car to my local garage this morning and they took it out for a test drive. Their verdict was that the clutch isn't slipping and the gear changes are smooth and the car drives okay. Obviously they don't drive the car that often, but thinking about it, I did put some fuel in it at the beginning of the week and am wondering whether the fuel might have been dirty which might account for the sometimes sluggish performance. What do you reckon?

My zed was fine on Monday but when I got up and went to work on Tuesday the ride felt really lumpy, if that makes sense and I could just tell that something wasn't right. Today I have been driving the car and have noticed a distinct lack of power. I drove home from a friends tonight and was doing about 40/45 in sixth and put my foot down and the car just didn't pull like it normally does. I can also feel vibration through the gear stick and also through the accelerator pedal and brake pedal. A friend of mine who owns a Nissan Navara recently had a problem with their vehicle which turned out to be the DMF and I am wondering if that is what is causing the problem with my Zed or could it be the clutch that is going? I've never been too confident when it comes to doing jobs on my car. I'm not a mechanic and I don't really have the know-how or experience with these things. I know painting isn't difficult but I wouldn't have the first clue what paint to use, how to apply it and how to get a good finish more importantly. I'd rather leave it to someone who knows what they are doing.

I live in the South West and was wondering if anyone knows of any companies that can refurb brake calipers, but come to you to do the job. If I sent the calipers off, i'd have to hire another car to get me around which would obviously add to the expense. Thanks.

Well at the moment I am torn between the Dotz Hanzo's (19") and a set of Volks (19"). I know the Dotz wheels arent to everyones tastes, but it's because they look a bit different that I like them, They are around the £1000 mark. As for the Volks, well they just look bloody awesome (I think so anyway) even though they would probably cost £2000. I am going to get the wheels on my GT4 refurbed as I will probably sell them when I get the new wheels, so that will offset the cost a bit. So that's my dilemma right now. Decisions, Decisions. LOL.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that cheap alloys are necessarily rubbish, not at all. I've seen posts where people have mentioned about 3 piece alloys, forged alloys, etc and when you look at the different types you can plainly see a big difference in the prices. I mean, are there any benefits in buying forged alloys compared to 3 piece alloys for instance or is there really not much difference between the two?

Hi All, For a while now I have been looking around for a new set of alloys and have managed to narrow it down to a couple of choices. However, on my endless trolling around the net, ebay, etc, one thing I found was that some sets of alloy wheels do seem to be rather cheap. What's you opinion on these? Is it a case of, you get what you pay for?

Hi All, Got a question about the speakers in my Zed. I do like the Bose System, but was wondering if it's possible to buy some newer Bose speakers and basically just do a straight swap out with the old ones. Would that be possible? Cheers.

Just a quick question. One of the small lugs on the passenger side door panel has snapped off. Can these lugs be replaced or are they part of the door panel itself? Thanks.

Hi All, Was reading a few posts regarding using 95 Ron in the 350Z. I don't put 95 Ron in my 350Z anyway, but was wondering if anyone knew if there was a handy app available which would show you petrol stations in an area and the types of fuel they sell. Would help if I am quite a distance from home and in an area I don't know, so I could easily find a garage in that area selling the type of fuel I want. Cheers.

I drive mine every day. But then again, I'm not rich enough to afford two cars anyway. LOL
