  1. It's a lot smaller than the factory fitted steering wheel, but it's really great. Kind of makes it feel like I'm driving a go-cart. LOL.
  2. Hi Guys, Had my new momo steering wheel fitted today. Pics attached. What do you think?
  3. Sunset 350z convertible driving up through the high street and a black 350z coupe seen coming out of sainsburys car park.
  4. There was a fitment guide in the box and it does state that it will fit a nissan 300zx, nissan 200sx and a nissan 100nx, but no mention of it fitting a 350. I phoned the company I got it from and they have asked me to return it and will give me a full refund. In the meantime, I have ordered a HKB boss.
  5. Hi Guys, I recently purchased a Momo Jet Steering Wheel via a company on Ebay and also asked them to include a Momo Boss for a 350z. The problem is my local garage had the car this morning to fit it all, but I've just had a call from them to say that the boss won't fit. There is an aperture on the boss for the wires to feed up through, but it is nowhere near big enough for the main connector. I'm going to call the company in question, but just wondered if anyone on the forum has had a similar problem with a momo boss. Thanks.
  6. I have recently bought a few aftermarket carbon fibre parts for my zed and have fitted them, but if I am honest, I wouldn't say I'm 100% happy with them. One example is a set of carbon fibre door sills. I might have been naive, but I did kind of hope that they would have come with the snap in lugs, etc so I could just take off the old ones and put the new ones on, but no. The sills were just shaped pieces of carbon fibre and some 3M tape was supplied to attached them, which turned out not to be enough as when I fitted them, they didn't adhere properly. When they were fitted, the curved end wasn't even flush with the bodywork, so whoever had cut it, hadn't bothered to check if the angle was correct either. Considering the money paid for these kind of items, I would have thought that more care would have been taken to make sure they were finished properly. As it is, I will now have to go out and buy some more 3m tape, take the sills off, apply some more tape and hope they adhere when I put them back on. Is there anywhere I can buy carbon fibre parts that have all the proper fittings on them? I don't mind paying more money as long as the quality is there.
  7. I got the Brake Fluid and Battery covers from Ebay. There are still some available. Here the link. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350Z-Carbon-Battery-Brake-Fluid-Cover-/301024090602?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item46166f19ea#ht_1912wt_1399
  8. Anyone know if there are any insurance implications when replacing the oem steering wheel with an aftermarket one? As I am removing a steering wheel with an airbag and replacing it with a steering wheel without one, will my insurance company be happy with that?
  9. Hi Guys, Thought you would be interested in the latest mods I have lined up for my GT4. Carbon Fibre Brake Fluid/Battery Covers (Courtesy Of CarParts UK) Carbon Fibre Radiatior Shroud (Courtesy Of Tarmac Sportz) Carbon Fibre Door Sills (Courtesy Of EP Racing) Momo Jet Steering Wheel And Boss (Courtesy Of Larkspeed Performance) Yellow Samco Hoses (Courtesy Of Cougar Store) Everything has been purchased, just waiting on delivery. As always, will take pics when the above have been fitted. I will also be purchasing a carbon fibre engine cover and if I can find one, a carbon fibre front strut brace. If you know where I could get one of these, let me know. Updated pics will be uploaded to my website: http://www.siriusprojects.co.uk Update: Carbon Fibre Engine Cover (Courtesy Of Tarmac Sportz) and Hose Clip Kit (Courtesy Of Demon Tweeks)
  10. I bought the door sills from EP racing. I will be adding some pics to my website www.siriusprojects.co.uk when fitted. I have recently updated the website with a couple of extra pics of the exterior as I have replaced the orange front reflectors with clear ones.
  11. Has anyone by any chance got a picture of a 320mm Momo Jet Steering Wheel fitted on a zed. I've just bought one and am curious to know what it looks like fitted. Thanks.
  12. Sorry. I went back to the site where I purchased them and it just describes them as door sills. The factory fitted ones have the z logo on. I think they sometimes call them kick plates?
  13. I've just bought a new set of door sills for my zed. Before I remove the old ones, can someone just advise how these are attached. Are they glued, is there lugs that just snap in, etc? Thanks
  14. That's great guys, thanks for the advice.
  15. How are the B-Pillars attached? Are there lugs on these that just clip back in or are they stuck on using some sort of adhesive?
  16. Hi Guys, I am going to be changing the door pillars but can someone tell me how best to remove these and what to use to affix new ones? Thanks.
  17. I have a Yellow GT4 and to be honest my preference would be to go for yellow hoses. My car mats have a black and yellow edging and I just like the idea of having that connection between the exterior and interior of the zed.
  18. Hi All, I'd like to smarten up my engine bay and I've often seen pictures of other peoples zeds where all the hoses, etc have been replaced with coloured ones. Can you by all the hoses and pipes you will need in one kit or do you have to source each of these separately? Thanks.
  19. Passed this zed going in the opposite direction. Got a wave from the guy driving.
  20. Thanks for the input guys. Going to start looking into this.
  21. Does the boss come with all the fixtures as well? Screws, etc. Like your thinking by the way GMBallistic. I have looked at the Momo Jet steering wheel and with the carbon effect inserts, it would fit in well with the other carbon effect areas on my dash. I have seen that Momo do standard bosses, do they do a quick release kit too?
  22. Thanks for the feedback guys. Sounds pretty positive, so I think I might give it a go. Just to clarify, will the type of aftermarket steering wheel I go for, have a bearing on what Boss I will require or are all these pretty much the same? Also, can anyone recommend a good stockist for the bosses? Thanks.
  23. In all the time I have had my zed, I have never once used the steering wheel controls. Will any aftermarket steering wheel fit, or do I need a particular type, if there is such a thing?
