Evening ladies and gents! I am currently changing my final drive on my 350 and I have come across an issue where I cant find the answer! I have fit the new bearings for the pinion but I cannot seem to find any information on the bearing preload for the pinion. Does anyone know what this could be? I'm guessing all this information will be in the factory service manual. But I cant seem to find this either. I did find a link on this forum but it looks to be out of date. Does anyone have a link or download I can have for this? Thanks in advance!

Hi guys, I am trying to get hold of a 4.08 final drive kit for my 350, the only places i can find seem to be in the USA and i don't want to get stung with import duties! Does anyone know of any traders in the UK that do these?

I have castle combe book early next year, I will try and get them to change pink that day!! Took the car out last night everything seems fine, no warping no loss of breaking. I cant see without taking them off but there is no leaking of fluid. I think at the weekend I will take off the calipers and look at changing the seals.

Nope no vibration, the drive home was down a motorway and I didnt have any issues with this drive, no vibration or fade. The disks don't seem to be warped at all.

I was using DS2500 on a previous TD same setup same track even very similar laptimes. I dont think ill use yellow stuff again, aside from the overheating they faded after just 3 laps and the ferodos did not all day! If you like them you interested in swapping I did both warm up and warm down laps, Oulton Park is a bit circuit (over 2 miles) I was doing a lap warm up 3-4 hot laps then a lap warm down. Yup same caliper the only difference was 1 1/4 tanks of fuel and 127 miles of track time! I have a look at the wheel after then change, jacked the car up and spun the wheel, it didnt seem to be sticking or binding at all! I am going to take the caliper apart when I have a minute because I suspect that the seals have gone. That will be a fun job re-building them. Do any sellers on the forum sell caliper re-build kits?

I had a trackday booked for my zed last friday and came across a strange issue with my brembo calipers after the day. Basically I did a track day not too long ago and had the following setup on the brakes: Brembo calipers Hel Braided Lines RBF 600 brake fluid black diamond disk DS2500's The day went great pads bit extremely well and i didnt have any issues with fade or overheating. The only issue was the pads were at the end of their life and needed replacing. A set of yellow stuff pads came up for sale on the forum so I picked these up expecting them to be similar to the DS2500's, and to be fair they were not too bad. They bit well and at first did not seem to fade at all. I did a couple of laps and had no issues, I came into the pits to smoke pouring from the front calipers for a good 10-15 minutes. After they cooled down I checked the braking and it seem ok. The rest of the day went great I was blasting round the track without issue. Then towards the end of the day I started getting huge brake fade I came in and noticed that my calipers had changed colour and the disks were glowing red. This put an end to my day as I had to drive home and didnt want to risk damaging the brakes. If you take a look at the pictures below you can see a picture of the caliper when I fitted the disk to one taken on Sunday morning (2 days after the track day). The caliper is now Brown with black writing as apposed to gold with red writing. Before Track Day: After Track Day: Has anyone seen this before? I have not yet took off the caliper to inspect the pistons and seals but im hoping it has not caused any damage in there! I think from now on I will be sticking to DS2500's!

I dont suppose anyone has or knows anyone with a trailer that I could hire for a nominal cost? I am off to a track day this Friday and my usual trailer I use is not available. Knowing my luck the one time I don't use a trailer my car will break down! I am in the Warrington area and I am willing to collect. Cheers!

The pistons seems fine, it slides free and seals look ok. I will try and get the abs sensor out, from past experience I know this cab be a pain in the ass. But i'll call upon the powers of WD40. Hopefully this will fix it. Cheers Guys!!

Hi guys and girls. I am having a few issues with my 2004 GT. I have recently done a track day and I found towards the end of the day the front off side wheel kept locking. Since then is I brake heavily the same wheel keeps locking up. I am not getting an ABS light come up but there is definitely something I miss! I took off the caliper and had a quick look and the seals seem to look good and there is plenty of tread on the pad. Apart from the amount of brake dust in the area it all looks ok, so nothing looks iffy on this side. The only other thing I can think off is that the ABS sensor has picked up a lot of brake dust and is not reading. I can see where the sensor cable goes into the hub, but I cant seem to find the sensor itself. How can I get to the sensor, and is there a good way to clean this to make sure it is not clogged up? Does anyone have any ideas why the wheel could be locking up? Thanks in advance!

Hi all, My exhaust has been getting a little rattly lately and on inspection I have found that some of the hangers have started to perish and one of them is slightly torn. I am looking at getting some new ones and while I'm at it I might as well upgrade these. I checked the power flex site and found nothing, a Google search didnt seem to find anything either. I had a look through the forum and not really found much on this topic. Is there anything that anyone can recommend? Thanks in advance!
