  1. £200 then!? I just want rid without the hassle of putting them on eBay. Surely someone on here does track days?
  2. These must be worth something to someone! I just need them out of the way now, £300 posted ono?
  3. I'm open to sensible offers? I want to avoid putting them on eBay.
  4. Hi guys, I'm having a garage clear out and after selling my zed I still have the old Track day wheels and tyres I used. They are standard 18 inch 350z alloys with Toyo R888 tyres on them. These in my opinion are the best track day tyres you can get. just the tyres alone took almost 8 seconds off my time around Oulton Park. The two front tyres are 235/40ZR18 91Y, the rears are 255/35/ZR18 94Y. I have used these for 3 trackdays now and they still have 2.-3mm of tread left on each tyre. I will get the exact measurements tonight and update. One of the tyres has a puncture repair which happened when they were brand new some numpty in the pits left some bits on the floor and I ran over this. Since the repair I have done 3 trackdays and this has not been an issue at all. The wheels are balanced and ready to go so if anyone is in to doing trackdays this are the perfect tyre to use. I am looking for £400 + £50 postage or these can be collected from the Warrington area, alternatively you can arrange postage yourself. Please let me know if you have any queries. Cheers
  5. Cheers, I thought it had just discolored! Mods can you please lock this untill I have this sorted? Cheers
  6. Gents I have a few tyres I have left over on my garage. I would prefer collection from North Warrington of all the below but I can post if needed. The first set are Toyo Proxes R888's, these are brilliant track day tyres, They are size 225/40/ZR18. I have used then in a number of cars for around 8 years now on different track days and they are incredible. The grip will transform the handling of any car. These are in a used condition, one tyre has 1.0 -1.5mm of tread the second has 1.5 - 2.0mm. These will be good for 1-2 track days depending on how you drive. These are road legal tyres but I would not advise it, also one is below the legal limit now. I am looking for £60 + £30 delivery Please see pictures below: The second set are Bridgestone Potenza RE040's, size 225/45/R18, these are great all round tyres, I use these on the road and they are great all year round. Both tyres have 3.5 - 4.0mm of tread left on them, when I was taking the pictures I have found a small nail in the centre of the tyre (see photo), this is dead centre so this would be an easy repair. I am looking for £40 + £30 delivery Please see pictures below: Please let me know if you have any queries. Cheers Andy
  7. Howdo Gents! I am working on putting my car back to standard so I am getting shot of my Japspeed K2. I bought this about 8 months back for £329 directly from japspeed. It gives a great tone higher up the revs and does not drone as much as the K1 on motorways and general driving. I am looking for £150 or £50 plus a standard exhaust (in good condition). Collection will be from the North Warrington area I can post but this will be at a cost of £35 due to the size. Please see pictures below and let me know if you have any queries, Cheers Andy
  8. I have no idea, I did a track day at oulton park and at the end of the day they were just a weird brown colour. When I stripped them down I was expecting the seals to be melted but they were fine. I did a full rebuild on them regardless. I bought a torque wrench from machine mart about 8-9 years back, it was a clarke one, it cost me £22 and it still works perfectly today. My old man got a halfords Pro one for around £80-£90 and it lasted around 12-18 months before it packed in!
  9. Ive read that in a few places but I would prefer to strip it right down and replace all seals. With the caliper overheating and changed to a lovely shade of brown I wanted to make sire there was no damage anywhere. It took a while but I managed to source the internal O ring directly from Brembo. I torqued them up to 75Nm and they are doing great so far, Iv covered about 150 miles so far and they are spot on (so far). Iv just fitted some DS3000, so hopefully they will fend well at Cadwell Park in a few weeks.
  10. They are 80mm decals for the front, I have just refurbished my calipers: I got them from ebay, see link to follow: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281241597404?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3D281241597404%26_rdc%3D1 I am not sure about the rears though, I think they are 60mm but I cant be sure.
  11. Just an update, I have pulled apart the diff again and I have found the backlash to be way out, I need to get a dial gauge on it but it looks to be about 2mm rather than the 0.10 to 0.15 mm. So I need to increase the shim size on the pinion. I am not sure on the size needed though. Does anyone know of a backlash to shim chart, or is it as simple as 1mm of backlash is 1mm of shim size? Cheers guys!
  12. Cheers Darren but the Y pipe is fine, I just want the Y-piece down back to the standard exhaust.
  13. Sorry, Located in the North Warrington area.
  14. I am looking for a 350z Standard exhaust for my 2004 car. I currently have a Japspeed K2 which I will be selling when I get some pics together. I am also happy to swap this if anyone is interested? Cheers Andy
  15. You can see the whole manual here:- http://www.350z-uk.c...-roadster-usdm/ Cheers buddy that very helpful, I've just pilfered everything off there for future reference. Unfortunately they don't give the torque setting for the split bolts. I have on a 911 forum (with very similar calipers) a value of 75Nm so I think ill try this with a shed load of lock tight. I know I've read that everywhere but I have split calipers are cars and bikes for years now and never had an issue. I don't think you can do a proper refurb without splitting them. If a jobs work doing......
  16. cheers buddy! Is there any literature on the breakdown of the caliper itself?
  17. Ill give all that a go cheers! I checked the back lash it was right in the middle of the spec. I'm going to spend a few hours and take off/inspect the diff. Ill keep you updated if anyone is interested! lol
  18. Hi all, I have recently stripped my front calipers after a rough track day and have them blasted and painted and I'm fitting all new bolts and seal kits on these. I am just trying to find the torque setting for the bolts that fix the caliper back together (not fixing the caliper to the hub) does anyone know what this is? I cant seem to find it anywhere. Also when I took them off there seemed to be a grey thread lock on these, I would like to use this again but I am insure what it is. Does anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks in advance Andy
  19. This may be very specific but you never know someone may have one laying around! I am after a near side black diamond 6 groove brake disc for a brembo brake setup. I bought a pair a few weeks ago and one has now become badly damaged, so I am after just the one. I am not sure if any sellers on here are willing to sell 1 disc on its own or if anyone needs the offside disc only and wants to split the cost? Let me know! Cheers
  20. Does no one have any ideas? I really don't want to take the diff off again its a ruddy nightmare! I think ill try and drain/refill the fluid to make sure I have enough in there. Has anyone changed the fluid on the diff, if so what did they use? I know sometimes different oils can be louder/quieter than original oils.
  21. Hi Guys, I have recently stripped by diff fitted a 4.08 final drive and rebuilt it. I changed all of the the bearings and rebuilt this as per the factory manual. I checked all of the tolerances and they were all spot on and the contact patch of the gearing is perfect. I then refitted the diff and filled with 1.4 liters of Red Line 75W90. I then took the car for a quick spin and I've noticed a whining from the diff. This has never been there before and I have only changed the diff so I'm guess this is the issue. The whine starts around 40 mph and get progressively louder and higher pitch as the speed increases. If I go into neutral and coast around 70 mph this noise gets a lot quieter. When the cruise control is on at 70 its quite loud. Before I did the diff rebuild I had no noise, the wheel bearings were fine and I had no noise from the gearbox or diff whatsoever. Anyone have any ideas what it could be, has anyone fitted this final drive and is it normal to get more transmission noise?
