The 1st 3 gears are limited , the limit is in throttle response not opening %, i.e the butterfly response is slower in the lower 3 gears than in the upper 3 gears.
UK DE cars (276bhp) cant have multi maps due to lack of space in the Eprom fitted in the ECU ( something to do with alarm immobilizer issues)
Every other car if it has cruise added can have multi maps.
Have a look around the Abbey threads everything is explained there.
any questions thou PM or email me mark@abbeymotorsport.co.uk
I have never seem to be able to get to the bottom of whether you can "turn on" the cruise function of Jdm's so long as you have the rest of the gubbins, is it possible Mark?

Would it be vulgar to ask what Wheel Genie charge for such a job?
About £500, depending on finish
Not too bad considering for brand new looking wheels

Ebay is a total pain in the ...., but it is a great advertising tool, but its pretty easy to sort out the wheat from the chaff by the way they communicate, just ignore the morons

anywhere between £7-9000 realistically.
I think its difficult to judge by the advertised price
Do an advanced search on ebay and you can check what has been listed and what sold.

With some measurements and confirming what these wheels were available in,
Rears 10.5" Et 19
Fronts 9.5" Et 26
This was of course with a tape measure so give or take a couple of mm
And looking at prices they were $1000+ each new

After having thoroughly scouring the classifieds for the last four weeks or so what has been apparent to me is cars that have sold and ones that keep being relisted/readvertised. Unfortunately the ones i have seen sell are the well priced ones and that is usually the cheaper ones.
As it is really easy to see with ebay, over the last four/five weeks it has 140+ cars advertised at any one time. So plenty of choice. Anything modified, no matter how nice, is going to be individual when it comes to tastes, so your narrowing your audience straight away and if its top dollar, its even less of an audience. Sad as it is to say, modifications dont add to making the car more valuable or necessarily more desirable.
If i were in your position, providing you have the standard parts, i would give yourself a time scale of selling as is and if you dont receive a offer your prepared to accept in that time, put it back to standard and top up the coffers with sales of parts. You will also be able to gauge how much interest you have, if your getting lots of enquiries it may be worth holding out a bit longer, if you dont, you know it will unlikely sell as is.

nice wheels!
but is there any chance you want to take a front and rear off and measure them up + work out exactly what widths and offsets they are?
its a lot of money for a guestimate, nice wheels though, and i am interested, but would want to know exact sizes before committing.
Sure, will get onto it.
I am pretty into my wheels so am positive they are 9.5 & 10.5, can tell by the way the tyres fit. But will try to get these measurements confirmed to you tomorrow.

There is always a lot of chat about front number plate display on Pistonheads, by all accounts the fines are less for not displaying one than for displaying them incorrectly (illegal spacing/sizes/fonts)
Most of my front number plates have resided under my passenger seat. Cars look so much better without them

I actually quite like those on a black... I'm sure the tyre police will be along in due course to complain about the mixed tyres on the front though.
They will get over it

Volk Racing Sf Winnings 19"
There are no markings on the reverse to suggest et's or widths. The rears appear to be 10.5 and fronts 9.5" and offset seems perfect, so guessing around the 20's.
Rear tyres are feathered so would need replacement, shod in 275's. Fronts are good with a Falken 452 and Nankang Ultra Sport, in 245's, lots of tread on both.
These are a two piece split so can easily be broken down and repainted if desired. General condition is excellent, very minor kurb rash on the usual front ns but it is minor as photo'd. No other kurbing what so ever. Centres are in great condition with the odd tiny blemish, hardly noticeable but want to be accurate with my description.
Fraktion has been in contact so will give him first refusal.
After the weekend they will go on Driftworks where i know they will sell quick.
£1350

It is your Key Number and Nissan DON'T keep a record of it so memorise it and swallow the tag.
Thanks, will keep it safe

but then I see the yellowing and leave it there
Take some very fine wet and dry to it and it will come up like new. The problem with resin is it doesnt contain any uv protection. If you clear laquer it afterwards it will help
-
I am not sure if anyone might be able to help. I received two keys with my 350z and on the spare key chain there was a small metal tag with a 5 digit number, does anyone know what this might bear relation too?
Thanks

Its def not a universal. the mounts are perfect shape for the bootlid and it really isnt that big, perhaps its just the camera angle.

Collecting it from the garage towards the end of the week and will get some pics up
Yes definitely going Fi, eventually. I got so fed up of always working on my Rx7 i just want something i can drive for now with perhaps light fetteling, nothing that would keep it off the road for any length of time.
But i did have a stroke of luck last week, i caught up with a buddy who is working in the States and he said he is no problem with bringing me back a supercharger kit
-
I actually think i looked at this car in november last year, if im right its an amuse rear spoiler....and i really want one
Can you post up some pics of it
Soon as i get it home and recover from man flu photos will be up and for sale

Glad to see you've got one jon Not sure the colour of your wheels will go with the black but will certainly be different.

Hi Bud ! I'm not sure what it is, but it shouldn't be doing it. (i know that's no help) Can you take along a Mechanic or another Z owner for a second drive/viewing ? If not and there's doubt i would keep on looking, or if there's any movement on price due to the issue All the best with whatever decision you take
I have spoken with Alex and he has put my straight and a deal was done with this in mind Thanks
Wires under passenger seat
in I.C.E & Electronics
Posted
Just perusing through my recent Jdm import purchase and seem to have a plethora of wires underneath the passenger seat. They dont seem random wires, most have proper oem plug connectors of different shapes and sizes. Any ideas what they might be for?
