    Watching it like a hawk!

    Rays please!

    Thanks for the tip!
  4. Yup! I now work with the Middle East markets so I'm not even directly impacted work-wise as far as I am aware. It's a shame that people don't have access to all the facts, especially with a decision of this magnitude.
  5. Just to throw something else in the mix. Us leaving the EU would potentially have an major impact on our ability to access new, life-changing medicine. These things are currently approved in almost all cases across all EU markets (plus some others, I'll come on to that) by the EMA, who are currently located in London for various reasons. It's highly likely, that if we exit, the EMA will leave Britain as there's no point in them being located in a market that is not part of the EU. The impact? Life saving drugs that are not yet approved may well not become available to us as quickly as we may have been lucky to have before as a result of being in the EU. Yes, there are other countries (eg. Switzerland) that aren't part of the EU that are able to market these drugs, but the difference is HUGE in how long approvals take, the negotiations that take place, years of work involved to re-establish what we are able to market, as well as how much the drugs will cost as a result as pricing will change. We will be very much more subject to European government ruling on what we can/can't have. Not to mention the fact that the NHS directly benefits from all of this. In addition, the pharmaceutical industry has a large presence in the UK, and there a large number of companies that deal with what I've mentioned above. There is a high possibility that these companies would leave Britain, as being in a non-EU market makes no sense. That's thousands of jobs impacted. Not to mention the £8.5bn that is granted to us by the EU to fund medical research. Is that likely to stay in place? Doubtful. My point? It's not just about immigration, or NHS funding. There are things of greater impact that aren't being communicated as loudly as others. I for one do not want to be responsible for voting for something that may stop someone receiving a life-saving medication early enough because someone on the Leave bus is screaming about immigration. By the way, I live in Thanet. That's where Nigel Farage lost his battle for MP, and has a VERY high 'untasteful' Eastern European presence. For the record, I've worked in the industry for 15 years, for the largest pharmaceutical company in the world. I'm not in marketing, or finance. I directly help get these drugs to markets, and dealt with the EU for a long time. Leaving the EU, for me, is not an option, and I'll be very worried if the referendum ends up with the Leave vote.
  6. Thanks, if I could at least have first refusal I'd be much appreciative!
  7. Margate, so about 250 miles away.... not exactly a quick pick up unfortunately as I may as well be in France! That being said I've been after a set for ages now, so I'm definitely interested if you decide to sell them.
  8. And would you happen to be planning on selling aforementioned Rays at all?
  9. Don't suppose these are replacing a set of rays are they?
  10. Great fun. They make a great noise with the right exhaust upgrade, but getting more power out of them is very expensive. Supercharging and turbos were only done to a handful of cars in my 10 years of forum membership, as there is very little room for tweaking under the bonnet. Manuals are not exactly common either. That being said, 170-197bhp in a 2l N/A is not to be sniffed at in a car that's 20 years old. I loved mine, I'd have it back tomorrow, but I'd be pining for RWD again after a very short period of time.
  11. Oh that's not so bad at all... I might give it a go then. Thanks
  12. I've read up a bit on the removal of the existing knob, but I was wondering if anyone could confirm if the existing thread would mean an aftermarket knob was sit really high as a result? I don't want to be doing silly things like cutting it shorter, but on the same front, I don't want to have it looking silly. Looking at something similar to this:
  13. Well it would be if I could put the roof down it's ripped quite badly now and I daren't mess with it until it's fixed as it's leaking and there's only so much sail tape I can use! And yes, I do believe I've seen you about a bit!
  14. Yep, and also check the seams above the rear window too.
  15. Welcome... PLEASE make sure you check the roof at the seams, it's at least £640 to get it replaced.
  16. You'll need to mess with the looms/ISO adaptors in most cases (I'm doing this currently) as you may experience a volume drop from what I can work out, no matter what HU you get. There's a couple of stickies at the top of this forum. I've got a Kenwood with a USB port in the front going in. As per above, or another option is a tape with a jack attached (don't buy a cheap one though).
  17. A trick I swear by is furniture polish (one with beeswax in it, costs less than a quid) and a duster! Cheap as chips and with a bit of elbow grease the brake dust will come off no probs. Did this for nearly 10 years on my FTO with no issues and no scratches.
  18. Scoured eBay and couldn't see anything that wasn't collection only and 200 miles away. Does anyone have one? Thanks!

    Rays please!

Has anyone got a half decent set they'd be willing to part with? I did ask a while back but circumstances changed, but I'm back after a set. Cheers folks!
  20. I'm heading there in a couple of weeks to get mine done, good to hear that people have had good experiences there
  21. AH! Found it! Left-Rear Green, Left-Front White, Right-Front Grey, Right-Rear Purple... I'm not technical enough to understand where the subwoofer draws from, but hey. I have a feeling I'm going to need to do the Buster mod though. That's if I can get the HU powered up. Fingers crossed... Clearly still new to all this (despite having owned for 3 years...)
  22. Quick question as I'm about to attempt to put a new HU in on monday! On my harness, I don't have red/white audio connections for the back of the HU. Mine are white and grey (these are on the same loom as the ISO connector), green and purple (!). I've figured out that the unconnected blue/white lead is for the aeriel, and the black is for the earth (hopefully), so which RCA goes where: I couldn't find a guide which tells me this specific bit. Thanks all!
  23. Had mine for three years now. I wanted a black gt really, but couldn't find one that wasn't a pile of crap! So drove this on the off chance and loved it. There's a few down my way, I must see three or four every week, but no roadsters. I need a new roof now though, downside of the convertible I guess!
  24. I had one and I miss it terribly!!
