  1. Same as Commander, I get a 6th gear crunch if revs are not well matched. Sign that the synchro mesh it on its way out I believe. Can work around it and do a swap when it gets really bad and take opportunity to do a few bits at the same time

  2. Hi Dicky,

My car came with one key so I needed to get another.

I got this blank from ebay http://www.ebay.co.u...=item19f875ea49 made him an offer for a few quid less and he accepted.

Then booked into local Nissan dealer for a while you wait apt and had it coded. Was originally quoted £22, but on the day they tried to get away with £56, spoke to manager after the work was done and got the price back down to £22 :)

All in under £50 done :)

    Hope this helps

How did you get it for £22 may I ask, did they misquote at first and then have to honour it? I was quoted £51 and am just wondering how I can go about getting it for £22 :p

original chap quoted me £22 so made them honour it, had no proof but the didn't question it :)

thanks veef13 I had forgotten I posted this one. Not to keen on ebay purchases so decided to share my key with my daughter.

As for Durk, well there are ways and means of getting stuff cheaper. You could offer to cut the managers hedges or lawns, or maybe sit on his knee and blow in his ear, depending upon his particular persuasion ha ha. However I would be wanting a much bigger discount for the latter option though. Good luck with it!

no worries. that ebay seller is safe to use and v friendly, but understand if you would want to stay away from that path

  4. Fractured my pelvis the day before my 18th when out dirt jumping on the mtb. Didn't think crash was that bad, turned out was shock giving an analgesic effect. stood up and walked a few steps, analgesic wore off, worst pain I've ever felt as thigh muscle on contraction pulled apart the fracture.

No 18th birthday party, but lots of opiates, legal ones

  5. thanks guys.

theres a few in the area I have used in the past, but not for many years, and the work wasn't quite up to scratch so thanks for the suggestions

tempted to spray and fit splitter myself, but have limited facilities in my gaff so going pro on this job plus a few other bits for good measure.

bodyboarder, will Pm you in a mo

  6. Cheers GM.

Narrowed down to those two systems as want a refined sound, with no rasp and not too loud. I have been leaning towards the rolled titanium tipped invidia more recently, until I heard AndyJames' Milltek which sounded lovely. Time will tell, and any deals that come up.

Would like to hear each system at some point with HFCs on a NA zed, so hope to get to some meets.

Will be a while before sorting exhaust and other related mods.

  7. Looks great mate , gloss black front lip will look lovely with the side steps :)

 thats what I as thinking, will look great with the gloss black diffuser too.

Only issue I may have is ground clearance, so test fit, and if too low for my drive, will sell on and get a Mines style lip instead :D

  8. And thats pretty much where she stands at the moment.

Hope to get the GT lip on this weekend, and decide 100% on paint for it. I'm thinking gloss black to keep a gloss black theme along the bottom of the car, which will match the diffuser I'll order in the new year.

May well paint the door handles to match the wheels too, and possibly gloss black the mirrors.

One final pic for now from Monday and the first real frost of the year :D

  9. Hi all,

Thought I'd start a bit of a build thread on plans for my car and what has been done so far.

Previously having had a number of Jap cars, celica's (gen 5 and 7), stage 1a s14 200x, then moved to a couple of BMWs, most recently being a 650i which on all accounts was a fantastic car, although lacking a little feel. I wanted to move back to Jap, a car I've always wanted, and one I could fettle. Enter this 2004 Azure GT as a part-x with money my way.

Car was standard when I got it.

Here is the build list so far:

    Performance

    Plenum spacer

    Cosworth panel filter

    Velocity stack

    Scorpion Y-Pipe back

    Toyosports Y-Pipe

    UpRev remap (282Bhp)

    Hawk HPS front pads

    DBA 4000 T3 front disks

    Visual

    Tarmac Sports skirts/steps

    Tarmac Sports GT Style Lip

    LEDs all round

    Stubby

    Tinted side repeaters

Black and Carbon side Z badges

Black front and rear Z badges

    New car mats

    Additional rear sound deadening

    Audio

Brodit car specific mount and holder

    Double DIN Pioneer headunit

    "Buster" mod amp boost

    Reversing camera

Following a quick trip to the Z Shed for a once over to check car was ok, and to be told its far to quiet! (Thanks Chirs and Bob), gearbox fluid was swapped out and molyslip added at trusted local garage, and I replaced the rear pads with OEM for now as the old yellow stuff were shot.

GB then came up for a Tarmac GT Style front lip, so thats sat in storage waiting test fit, then gloss black paint.

Excellent deal came up for some side steps, so snapped these up, thanks Andy James
