  1. Few pics of recent bits and bobs

    Scorpion and bumper tuck

Gloss black front and rear Z's

    IMG_0219.jpg

And forgot to take photos of silver vent trims

Need to sort another number plate as whoever had the car before me put the holes in wonky! Got an eye on a personal plate so will sort that then.

Really happy with this car, one of the most fun I have had, tis a great drive and love fettling :)

  2. Loving the build mate, cars looking fantastic

Out of interest how you finding the scorpion exhaust? (Its on my list of things to buy)

    Thanks mate

I was sceptical about the Scorpion as on Youtube vids etc it seemed raspy but went for it and am v happy with its sound. Adds a nice rumble on startup, 2-4kish makes a lovely sound. Quiet on motorway, bit of noise when prodded.

  3. If it helps, I got a lot of stick for the wing with out the correct mods to support it.

But I got there in the end :) (Well some people may say I have )

Getting the two tone done first, might give you ideas of where you want to go next :)

Indeed matey. Happy with the side steps and splitter at the mo, but have my thoughts on some other kits. Again issue I have is my driveway. Its so steep that my current setup with rays, oem springs, steps and lip is as low as I can go, and still scrapes sometimes. If I could it would be dropped in a heartbeat and some 19's maybe. This would easier dictate kits etc

Not for me mate sorry :(

I would get the roof done and the limo tint on the rear window .... Gloss black front splitter/side steps and maybe a gloss black rear spoiler ?

    Just my opinion though :)

Oh and a cheeky bumper tuck

Agreed mate. March/April most likely for wrapping a few bits. Bumper tuck done the weekend after I got the system from you :D

  4. Looking good dude

Did you find a good body shop who would ask for a mortgage to spray the front lip?

    Thanks mate.

Haha yeah, will most likely use TGM in Fleet when the time comes. However the £10 rattle can job is doing the trick for now til I decide 100% on kit or no kit. Would be made much easier if mouthwash would sell me his nismo skirts :D:p

  5. cheers for the replies guys. as said above its not said "do it now" to me as i thought it may have, so parking this idea for a while. would sure be different though, just needs more to pull it off.

think it could look smart might need a few aggressive visual mods to pull it off mind :)

Aye, even something like a full nismo v2, or other similar kit and wheels would allow it to work

Azure is the most beautiful Z colour, don't hide it, give it a wash!

it sure is! Car gets a wash most weekend. In fact in those pics its only 2 days post wash :( Thinking about a full detail as hand detailing by me can only go so far and pretty sure the previous owners used a scoring pad in places :wack:

Not sure about the two tone. I certainly don't hate it... but I'm not completely convinced about it either. I know, that's possibly the least helpful response of ever. Sorry about that.

    Haha no worries

    He is! :teeth:

I personally wouldnt wrap the whole top part, maybe the roof and the mirrors? But if you were to wrap the whole top half, like stevoD says, you'd probably need quite an aggressive kit on it to pull it off. :)

This is what will be done as a minimum for sure. Roof, mirrors, handles, and tinted windows  Not sure if would paint or tint the handles. The cost of wrapping is about the same as buying second hand set and painting. Or could paint myself, doesn't always end up well tho :D

  6. Had in my mind to wrap upper part of car, but couldn't fully visualise it so had a contact mock it up for me. Should also have tinted windows and gloss black door handles but the visualisation is there.

In two minds, its not said 100% yes to me, mainly as the back looks awkward under the spoiler, and reckon I need some decent wheels and lowering to pull it off... Lowering is off the cars til I move due to silly driveway :(

If not going whole hog then will be getting roof, mirrors, handles gloss black and nice tint on the windows.... pretty much half the cost.

Interested to hear thoughts. Won't be done for a good few months as have a few other bits to do first.

  7. Haven't found the time yet to get booked into bodyshop, but thought would give a go at paining lip gloss black to see what it looks like (seems to have come out more dark grey in the pic, but its gloss black in reality)

  8. Had a bit of a panic moment when I wiped my original key when following one of the guides, but wasn't a problem in the end as the car was still in learn mode so just added it back in.

Car can remember 6 key codes I think it was, then starts to replace the oldest with the newest code.

YMMV etc so if in doubt, pop down to your local dealer and get them to do it. If you get a silly price, come back a few days later and try again, they make it up as they go

  9. Hi, I got the same refub key that you linked above, tried all the coding methods that I could find and although was able to unlock the car was never able to start it due to the imobi.

Took it to Nissan and they popped it on their machine and coded it. Only cost £22 in the end, even though they tried to double that price when it was done, so just spoke to service manager and got it at the originally quoted price

  10. OP thats a great price

Mine at 33 is c£500 with the usual mods we do declared

What is odd is my prev car a 2006 650i was a fair bit cheaper (and modified), even though it had double the retail price tag and >100bhp more, weird
