  1. Welcome. There are a few stickies floating about with buyers guides that will help you out a lot.
  2. cut these off Leaves you with this 'tin' the ends with soldering iron. Then cut the wires from back of this plug that are not used. Should be green, green/black, purple, purple/black, white, white/black, grey, grey/black. Leaves you with this Then simply solder the wires from the firat photo to the wires in the 3rd photo. The bare wires in the first photo are cabled with solid colours. These bare wires are the same as the colour/black wires in the third photo. So; Solid green to solid green Bare wire (next to solid green) to green/black Solid purple to solid purple Bare wire (next to purple) to purple black. And so on and so forth. That's busters hack as simple as it gets really. Hope this helps.
  3. It's much easier than you think, where abouts are you based ? Maybe somebody with some knowledge locally could help out. Busters hack is simple and effective but it is hard to explain so sound complicated
  4. Having just been through this myself I feel for you mate. Glad your both ok though and chin up, you can now get another one. Just a car at the end of the day and it can be replaced.
  5. Stage 1 is fine, i have a freshly installed Exedy organic and feels no different to oem, just dont go for puck clutch. I don't know about the zed but on my old evo the stage 1 was horrendous.
  6. A bbk is not really necessary imo unless you have big gains. I think the braided lines etc will be plenty do personally I would improve the transmission as that's where slot of power will be lost. Be wary of stage 1 clutches though as they can be pretty hard to live with if it's your daily drive.
  7. Quite a high price for an 04 though regardless of the low mileage. Not sure it would be enough to make me pay 8k for it
  8. I have brand new exedy clutch just fitted by japex...guess what....no juddering at all
  9. Very true but what you need to do is apply that thinking to houses....I don't know what house prices are like where you live, but around Leicester a large detached house with a double garage in a nice area is at least £500,000 - This is the price range our next house will be in - If your anywhere near London I really feel sorry for you because you wouldn't get much more than a mid-terrace/flat for £500k, how you bring up a family in a flat I have no idea Monthly mortgage payments on a £400,000 mortgage is £2000 a month at 3.5% interest 5 year fixed assuming 20% deposit. IF you can put down a larger deposit, and drop the mortgage to £250,000 your monthly payments go down to £1,000 month, because you can now access products that offer 2.2% fixed, and a lower initial borrowed sum. Your personal situation may be different, but the same principles apply. The bigger you house deposit the cheaper your monthly cost, and by a substantial margin!! So you can use the philosophy of 'Only live once', but if you try to budget and plan for 5 years ahead your could save your self ALOT of money by tightening the belt for a relative short time period now....And once the house/mortgage is sorted your have lots more disposable income to waste on what ever you like. Personally I much rather pay £1000 a month on my mortgage rather than £2000 a month, but for that to happen we have to squirrel away like mad for the next 5 years (The T fund is separate a ring-fenced account ). But swapping a car to change the monthly payments from £294 to £219, whilst going from a diesel to a turbo petrol performance car...I'm sure it'll be great fun, but don't kid your self that your actually making any serious attempt to save up any money towards a house....Manmaths or not Woah .......I just like scoobs is all
  10. I always tell myself "time for a diesel" when the new car time comes, but always end up with a faster more fuel hungry beast than last time....it must be a man thing. Only live once right!!
  11. I love scoobs much better than a z4, good man.
  12. I had 4 wheel alignment done after the first month or so, it's a common complaint on the z4 forum, the cars are renowned for being skittish and because I had the upgraded alloys (that come with the sport) it just made it worse.
  13. I had a 3.0si z4 for 12 months .....plus sides are it's very quick off the line but lacks a little at the rev limit. Worst part is the handling. It's terrible. They stick to the road but the electronic steering tries to mimic road conditions and the car is constantly darting left an right even on flat straight roads. I couldn't even sit in the first lane on the motorway it was so bad. Lovely car to own for a short time but not a keeper in my opinion.
  14. Just paint yours ? It's an easy mod an much cheaper
  15. £8k looks pretty spot on to me. It's a fairly cheap price but not too cheap. It should sell quickly at 8k
