  3. Hi all Looking for a pair of used standard Catalytic Converters for my 2003 Import. Thanks
  4. How much you looking at paying? May have mine up for sale
  5. Any way of making it quieter, other than loud exhaust
  6. Why the hell would anyone fit them if it makes that racket? :puzzled:
  7. Really? It sounds absolutely terrible and can be heard from miles away :embarrassing: It's not quiet at all lol
  8. Hey all, I recently did a thread about my exhaust rattling between 1000-2000rpm. After checking all bolts, heat shields and if anything is touching (up to the end of the HFC cats), I'm not 100% if it is the exhaust. Therefore I have started a new thread but provided more info. Noise: VERY loud metal - metal rattling/vibration Location: front end of car/engine bay When: between 1000-1750 rpm Gears: all forward gears Stationary: doesn't happen with clutch in or out Mods: Y pipe without flexi, lightweight flywheel clutch, berks HFC's. I've checked the exhaust system and can't see anything touching or loose (up to end of cats) I have read similar threads but most seem to be exhaust related. Numerous people have mentioned the y pipe without flexi's but many people have these and don't experience the same problem. Hopefully this has given a better idea of the situation and may have been experienced by others. Thanks in advance
  9. Will check it out. Cleared the fault and it hasn't come back yet. Just a query, when I unplugged coil pack 3, the VDC, Slip and EML all stayed lit up. The code reader picked up the same 2 faults. When I plugged back in and erased codes they didn't come back. However, I spoke to another 350z owner and when they unplugged a coil pack, no lights lit up on the dashboard. When they plugged in a code reader, it only picked up the code P0350 which is ignition coil circuit. Both cars are the same model. Why would one car bring up the fault lights on dash and 2 fault codes but the other car brought up no fault lights and only one code?
  10. Yeah I've seen that on other threads. Could possibly be coil pack?
  11. Yeah, the socket definitely says 10mm on the side but it's not the size of a normal 10mm socket? Bought it from Halfords and it is a spark plug socket not a normal socket. The NGK plugs are definitely the correct ones and it fits like a glove :S
  12. Is this picture correct for the 350z cylinder numbers. Assuming the bottom of the picture is the front of the car.
  13. Thanks for the info. I've never used a torque wrench either. Thin walled 16mm socket or 16 spark plug socket then. The NGK plugs I bought fit my 10mm spark plug socket. I've looked on Halfords website and they only go up to 14mm spark plug socket. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductMobileDisplay?catalogId=10151&storeId=10001&productId=170586&categoryId=255216&langId=-1
  14. Will have to buy a 14 and 16 beforehand just incase
  15. Hey, I've been reading a few guides online for replacing spark plugs and they vary slightly. Most guides are saying you need a 14mm spark plug socket but others are saying 16mm. The iridium spark plugs I bought to replace mine with, fit a 10mm spark plug socket perfect :S Does anyone know the correct size socket required to remove the spark plugs? Do aftermarket spark plugs (NGK) require a different sized socket? I've done spark plugs before on previous vehicles and I just tightened them so they were tight but not over the top tight. I know your meant to use the correct torque but I never had a problem. Does everyone on the forum use the correct torque or just use the method I've previously used? Also, does the UK and JDM 350z have the same spark plugs? Thanks
  16. Hey all, My VDC, Slip and Check Engine light all randomly came on today. I stopped the car and started the engine again and the check engine light remained on. I borrowed my friends code reader which showed up as P0350 Ignition Coil Circuit. I cleared the fault and the light went off. Drove the car, parked up, started again an all 3 lights are showing again. Now showing P0350 and P0303 Cylinder 3 misfire. The car sounds and feels a bit "Ropey" now. Could this be spark plugs? If so, seems weird how the VDC an Slip light also came on? Thanks
  17. Does anyone have a guide on replacing the gearbox oil? Easy to do? Also recommendations on oil? Alongside some molyslip. Thanks
  18. Yes, you're better off with the Megs kit frankly, IMHO. Ideal thanks
  19. O must be my iphone lol I've got the babyliss 7863U which is similar to the one you pointed out. I cant get on with it, I tend to find that I select a length and when trimming it will randomly shave off a lot more in patches than it should. Meaning I have to trim it all off 😧 Maybe I'm using it wrong or it's just rubbish 😊
  20. Has anyone used the following for prepping? http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_764457_langId_-1_categoryId_255233
