  1. Isn't that the standard nissan clarion head unit?
  2. I was about to post the same. I worked for Tesco car insurance up until a few weeks ago and would have conversations like this frequently. Sounds like Aviva only give a maximum of 6 years. In a situation like this with an unhappy customer we would manually have a letter sent out stating the number of ncd years gained from the previous proof of ncd sent in and in additional the years gained with us. I'm sure they can do this as I'd imagine your request isn't an unusual one. Just make sure you have the NCD is protected or you will go from 28years to 3 !
  3. I work for a uk bank doing credit card fraud Couldn't afford to run my zed into work any pay for parking in city centre glasgow!
  4. man thanks to Ewen who sorted me out with my service kit on a next day service. Even bigger thanks to sorting out the issue about my V-belts being a different size to the normal 350z belts. As soon as I got the measurements I got the correct belts! fantastic!
  5. hahah the second one looks like he has taken a picture of the car on an ipad then uploaded it from his phone....long way for a shortcut lol!
  6. I seen this and had chuckle a few nights ago.. such a bold statement. "IF YOU DONT LIKE PEOPLE STARING AND POINTING THEN THIS CAR IS NOT FOR YOU" - probably for acting like a fool. I love how he states in the ad he's taken on a driver/fitter lol

  8. hello, I'm looking for an OE stereo. My car is a non bose system so im not sure if the bose headunit will work in my car or not.. must be working and preferably cheap if possible as I will need to have it paired to my car thanks, gordon
  9. apologies about that, realised that after I had submited the thread Decided to service the car myself and keep a record of everything. Thanks for the advice guys
  10. sorry I should have mentioned .. its a 2004 model. I am slightly put off with main dealers due to last time I had a 350z in for a P3 service the car broke down 1.5miles outside the garage due to the coolant not being changed properly causing the car to overheat and be recovered to nissan... brakes were also not bled properly and the pedal went straight to the floor.. took them 3 attempts to fix my car and also left a couple of large scratches.which I was fuming about. Zmanalex - pm coming your way
  11. The new car I picked up is overdue a service. The last service was a P1 in February 2012 with the mileage at approx 51150.. The car now has 51500 miles however no stamp from February 2013 and is due a P2. Car has done very little miles per year but has always been previously serviced just but not this time unfortunately. I plan on replacing both belts this weekend and I'm now wondering if I should take servicing myself. The car is over due a service by 8 months and I'm not sure how well that really keeps my FSH when I come to sell it on in years too come. Thanks Gordon
  12. hello, Thought I would say introduce myself. I owned a 350z 6 years ago and sold it to a local guy.. I always did regret selling the car as I felt like I hadn't really gave it a chance after 8 months of ownership.. I have recently been looking for one and couldn't believe my luck when I seen my old car for sale.. same owner who I sold it to and has only covered 15k in 6 years! It has been very well maintained, always garaged and taken off the road over winter. I got it for £5800 with only 52k miles.. I sold it to the guy 6years ago for 16k with 37k miles! lol It does have a couple of issues.. ie drivers side window motor and lack of display on the HU however I have now replaced the motor. has the following mods.. Tanabe Sustec Pro S-OC Type II Height adj. Short Ram Suspension SPC Rear adj. Camber Arms+Toe Bolts Stoptech Slotted 2 peice Areo Rotors on Front Project Mu Pads All Round Borla TD Exhaust Kinetix High Flow Cats AAM Angled Plenum Spacer JWT Popcharger Carbon fibre Engine Cover Grounding kit Stuart B Tonneau Cover Zed Mats Zed Boot Mat LED Fog Light- Clear Cluster Silver Turn Signal Bulbs Plans for her are too either replace the cloth seats with leathers or retrim the original seats.. replacement wheels, spruce up the interior... after browsing members cars on here the list seems to be endless lol gordon

Neo - I havent check the door shut, Will check that out when I'm home peteman35 - thanks for the suggestion I will try that aswell, I've used contact cleaner on the plugs however no change either I even tried removing the rubber nipple cover from reset switch.. I expected to see a microswitch or something instead its a bit of plastic that doesnt seem to do anything except turn.. I would like too understand how the reset procedure works. Thanks for all the suggestions guys I really appreciate it!
