Interesting thread, I'm pondering the same at the mo.
I'll be keeping the standard rays, probably spacing the front 20mm and rears 25mm but wasn't sure about suspension. After browsing the galleries and comments here it seems a 15-20mm drop will be enough for me without compromising useability.
Thanks, Jon

I think Ford have the patent for putting heating elements into a windscreen to demist.

Are they splash guards on the front of the skirts? If so I'll take the skirts please.
I'd probably be interested in the trolley jack too.
Shame I haven't room for the rower as I have some holiday weight to shift, lol

Nicest Z I've seen. The girlfriend went ape when I told her I was going to try to sell mine to buy this.
I'm sure it will sell long before I could shift mine though.
Good luck with the sale.

I have a set of these, yet to fit.

Here's the 350 selection, lots to choose from in there:
How much did these cost to get sent over in total if you don't mind saying, i was looking the other day at ordering a pair of the silver version of these but wasn't sure about postage and customs fee's etc, i took a guess that it may be around £150 for a pair??
I may just spray my weathered Z badges gun metal in the same colour as my alloys.

Count me in , thanks for the PM
Although it means I'll have to fix my sticky passenger wing mirror, why do these things happen a week after your warranty expires?

I once had a Vauxhall Agila as a courtesy car, that was a scary drive being high and narrow.
I remember driving into town with a mate and a group of blokes in an Audi A4 convertible starting ripping into me for "driving my mums car" lol.

Really the point here is to drive to the condition and drive within the limits of the tyre!
I bought my zed in October and the previous owner has fitted budget tyres (I have looked on camskill etc and they are £55 a corner, I can't find cheaper). Yes they spoil the enjoyment of the car but I wouldn't say it feels like I'm gonna crash everytime I drive the car, I simply drive within my boundaries of talent and within the limits of the tyre.
In the new year I will upgrade to RE050's probably or MPSS depending on prices or deals I can find at the time.
As said, purchase a car first and go from there.

CS have them reduced to £100 atm, also listed in their eBay store

Interesting read
Think I'll get one of these when I get round to getting my belts replaced, once up to temp my car rocks/shudders slightly and the idle rpm isnt steady when I'm stationary.
Fingers crossed this will help, I was contemplating giving the MAF a clean.

If you didn't mind a drive i swear i read recently that Sly from Kaizer Motors can get a set of 4 Michellin Pilot Super Sports fitted on 18'' wheels for £745. This is a cracking price for an amazing set of tyres.
If youre in Chelmsford it's only an hour away and he could probably help with the other niggles you posted recently about the car, if you've not already sorted them.

If you were happy with the performance then why not buy them again, it depends entirely on the way you drive the car.
i would say at £105 a corner they are a budget make. I've not heard of them before or tried them to offer an opinion.

I had an undelivered card left for me on Friday for 2 parcels, went to the Royal mail depot last night to collect.
All going well so far........
But it wasn't until i got home i had a parcel for a young lady with the same surname as me, doesn't even live anywhere near me. So i called the depot and they can't find my second parcel and i have to take the poor girls parcel that was given to me back to the depot at my expense.
Royal Mail have broken so many parcels that i have taken so much care in wrapping carefully, there insurance etc is also worthless, the most i've had as re-imbersement has been a book of 6 first class stamps.
Well done Royal Mail, you never fail to dissapoint.

Shame I didn't see this thread earlier, this is within 1 mile from me.
Any other stealth missions required just hesitate to holla!

Yep, all done. At least I think, lol, I'm being sent paper work in the post to sign... It's been years since I've taken out insurance with paper work!
I just like to think Ive got a good deal. I was having a sulk because I don't feel it's justified to charge me £100 more for 5 days cover when I won't even be using the car anyway.
I guess it's swings and roundabouts, last month I got £33 of free petrol through the tesco vouchers, this month I lost out to an insurance company. I wonder what January will bring.....

I doubt it's the sex discrimation changes, if anything men's premiums will stay the same and females will be increased.
IMO it seems they are praying on people who's insurance is about to expire as they have less time to shop around so feel they can get away with charging more, the longer notice I gave over the next 2 weeks the cheaper my quote got.
I didn't like the worry of having no insurance so bought a policy with our friends at Prestige.
£450 for a car like the Z is a cracking price so I really can't grumble.
-
Thanks for the suggestions, i guess what i'm asking is if there was a grace period.
I'm just being a tight a*se, just shocked really that for 6 days the quotes can vary by 20%
I'll get a policy bought and go for a drive tonight to put a smile back on my face, fitted my Nismo knob yesterday so i'm itching to go for a drive anyway.

I just wanted a bit of advice from anyone in the know on Insurance.
My car runs out of insurance today, i've been looking today for quotes and could insure my car for £450, my dilema however is that if i insure the car from Friday this week it will cost £364..... almost £100 less??
obviously i want to wait and save the cash but it is illegal to own an uninsured car.
Will i be ok for 1 week without the car insured, it will be on my driveway day and night and unused until i insure it again.
I've read online that i may receive a letter advising if i don't insure my car immediately i face a £100 fine, but i imagine if this is the case the car will be insured before i even receieve the letter.
I tried some of the forums insurers earlier in the month but they could not compete with "high street" insurers unfortunately as i've only owned the car since October.
Thanks in advance for your insights.......

I switched from 16" run flats to a set of 18" staggered fitment wheels with non-run flat tyres on my old E90 and had no issues with the TPMS at all.
I had to re-calibrate the TPMS a few days after changing the wheels, due to the change in wheel size, and it was fine after this. IMO the car felt alot nicer to drive and was well worth doing.
-
Good to know, just hope it comes off in one piece as its in very good condition as it is... IMO of course lol.
£20-£30 will pay for the grips I need to buy to remove the OEM knob, doh!

Hi, what make is the stubby antenna?
Is it an eBay jobby, S2000 antenna, a Honda RDX antenna as sold by redline styling on here or another make?
Thanks, Jon

I like the plastic grid that rtbiscuit used in this thread, seems a more permanant solution to the travel thinning and is easy enough to DIY.

Surely the easiest solution is to chuck more gravel down.
"Fix A Flat"
in Tyres
Posted
I carried a can around in one of my old cars that didnt have a spare, never used it though so can't comment.
I've also read that after using this stuff you cannot repair the tyre meaning 1 puncture will cost close the £400 for 2 new tyres!!
