1) Ask Si at Hide'n Seat for advice on short term repair
2) Get a retrimmed wheel from Jack - you won't find better.
David -
Possibly - might just be a poorly worded advert.

A full quality carbon ceramic brake kit for a GTR is north of £14k so IF they had to be replaced you could easily be looking at close to 1/3rd market value of the car. Reason enough for an Insurer to w/o.
What is odd about the ad though is it states these were on the "spec sheet" but not actually fitted to the car. What spec sheet? These are not a factory fit option. Didn't the loss adjustor see what was fitted?

Couple of comments:
1) It won't have SatNav at that age of car, it was Year '10 model (from late 59 plates) before that became standard fitment. Can be retrofitted - approx cost £1,800. Not only gives SatNav but also improved screen resolution and some other software upgrades eg selection of metric or imperial calibration.
2) Litchfield Stage 2 is "only" abut 590bhp not the 620 claimed in ad.
Main items to check (apart from the repairs) would be rattling Bellhousing (can be sorted by a Litchfield unit - about £800 fitted) and R-1-R intermittent transmission failure - that is BIG bill time!
Def worth considering a look and inspection/drive,

So Andy... - 16th April at Gurston?

You mean the large rectangular thin frame?
I do but I would say it is more satin black finish than high gloss.

Sorry to have missed this - Adrian and I could have run in tandem for passenger rides (although I'm probably really REALLY slow... ).
Will do my best to pitch up for June meeting (and bring a packed lunch apparently!).

Super job!
Hope they both washed off their tyre tracks from your pristine floor!
But ... I need some aero mod work done that will need the GTR rear diffuser to come off... hmmm be interesting how that can be achieved with those lifts! Hope you still have a couple of good old jacks!
David
PS when is the booking form opening?
-
Sorry but I def won't be able to make it this Sunday.
Payco - more than happy to meet up another time if you want to chat about GTR ownership.

David. Want to speak to you about your GTR along with Ady so please bring the z.
Gaaahhhh - OK leave me in list for now... let me see if I can rearrange my visit "oop north" to collect the GTR.
David.

Oh cooooooome on! Bring the 350z instead, pick up the GTR next week
Hmmm - let me think on that... you can see my monsta brakes lol.
Been without the GTR for MANY weeks now - depends if I can hold back on the pull to get my hands back on it!
-
Sorry - will have to pull out as I won't be back from collecting my GTR (am having a transmission rebuild and some supsension mods done) until Sunday afternoon.

To any potential purchaser.
If you are concerned about small chips etc then Rota UK can provide an exact colour match touch up paint kit!
I know as someone lightly scratched one of my Steel Grey PWRs and I used their touch up paint with good results.
Hope this helps!

David, you need to join B35 group, so many meetings and amazing stuff Are you on Facebook?
On it but don't use it.

Injectors are ASNU, intakes are GotBoostPerformance, ARB's are Eibach, coolant tank is ForgedPerformance, titanium bolts are TORQEN and the exhaust MeisterR. Other than that, everything is Nismo OEM stuff or Litchfield OEM stuff
So not modified at all then and Ian's stuff does NOT count as OEM!
Mine should be knitted back together by Friday... ... flight booked for Sat morning!

Excellent,looking forward to meeting Octzilla.
Shall I bring mine too? -
It doesn't have a name though... and I am probably a small number of bhp down on Adrian's so I have to make do with a mere 640 ...
Need s/ware upgrade and a dyno tune soon.

You like the 102mm exhaust Adrian?
Are you running standard downpipes?
Will be March I think before I get there for ECUTEK V5 ,,, still contemplating the SuperStock Intercooler -

Little update:
Still did not have a chance to fit the Nismo parts
Having spotted some little rust bits under the paint on both doors by the plastic mirror mounts, I've taken the car to Nissan West London HPC before Xmas and booked it in for a full corrosion check. That will happen tomorrow.
Also bought a Litchfield 102mm exhaust to replace the MeisterR 89mm which is becoming a bit too much even for me, although the sound in the tunnels it's EPIC!

Should be able to collect this from Litchfield this week sometime and fit it. While I'm there, might as well ask Iain to stick the car on the dyno and see where she's at, what numbers
Still not modifying it, only Litchfield parts which are like OEM anyway
I only have three word to say... "Super Stock Intercooler"! An easy +20/30 gain.
Be churlish not to as you are there anyway... (which is why I am staying away... for now...! Well at least until ACSPEEDTECH have done their stuff on my tranny... and I may make a little diversion on the way back...)
