The search engine will drive me crackers. I need to know a good spray paint match for an 06 rev up (I presume its gunmetal, the other Nissan silvers are nowhere near). Have a scrape on the bottom of the front bumper, no point in bothering a pro finisher, you can only see it if you get down on hands and knees.... but I know its there.
Cheers
Once you now the paint code pop along to Halfords and they will mix you a can to the right spec. I've tried their paint mixing service for my Gun Metal grey Zed and found it to be a great match.

Must make a pleasant change to work on one of your OWN cars rather than our motley collection that rolls up!

Welcome to R35 ownership!
If you think Stage 1 is quick - come on up to 4 or 4.25 - it is blistering.
Have many happy miles of fun Sam!

ohh! yeah same as what mines like. its out of shape along the grille part of the bumper and very tight at the sides... like under alot of tension... was it rt performance u bought it from? i was roughly £200 so if its gonna crack after a few months i wont be too impressed tbh
Yes it was from RT and yes it was under a lot of tension as it was a few mm too short .
-
anyone have issues with fitment in these mines style lips? i just bought from rt performance and its a bitty out of shape to the bumper
Yes.
Was slightly too narrow and didn't fit well around the grille aperture.
With some effort managed to JUST get the ends to wrap around the lip of the wheel arch but clearly was under some stress as it started to split along the ends in a few months. Took it off and binned it.

Now my "C-handles" are all furry to match my centre gear surround - courtesy of Edge Automotive.

No, because he's dead, which is tragic. Magic would be if he was still alive, innit.
I like that, not a lot, but I like it.

Hold on a sec, that's a brilliant idea!!! I like the alcantara centre surround. Where and how much?
Adrian,
Have sent off the silver internal "C-handles" for alcantara trim now!

Looks great David!
I have been speaking with Paul about the kit for the '70, also deceptively tricky to reverse! The kit also support a second video input so looking to rig up some gauges like my PC build had
Yes Matt, the box Paul fitted to the GTR has 2nd video input. His kit is top quality.
I like the sound of the memory box, but when the car is cold I prefer to leave the gearbox alone until it has some proper heat.... so could see myself constantly switching it off to start with.
The reversing cameras are brilliant, until they get dirty I have a front parking camera as well (to check for curbs, rocks, small children).
I generally have my suspension set to Comfort (lol!) and leave transmission in normal. OK so it isn't the hardest thing to flick the switch but it also stops it dropping out of R-mode if you shift to/from manual. Truth is - I am a sucker for a gadget!

Have got a reverse beep canceler yet? Not sure how long I can cope with mine lol.
Could you PM me rough cost of the reversing cam ? I was thinking about doing it myself, but appears there is a lot more to it than usual.
Yes I have the reverse beep defeater box fitted!
Was more than just a camera and a cable for sure!
Your Mailbox is full!

Need to speak with Paul then
How good is the camera in night mode?
Don't know yet Adrian - wasn't out last night - will let you know!

Yesterday had the GTR fitted with a Reverse View camera (electronics and fitting by Paul_S at **REMOVED**).
I have parking sensors already but this is one fat assed car that def benefits from all the reversinh guides possible!
Also fitted a Memory Box to the "R-Mode" settings control bar so now the car remembers what your transmission/suspension/dynamic control were set to last time and restores to those settings. What a labour saving device!

Gary is a top chap!
I needed some small obscure bits for the GTR and he went to extraordinary lengths to work out what I needed and place the order with Nissan UK/Japan for me.

You've got to get up to Harewood this year - they've got a new 2wd, +2 litre class.
No more Scoobys or Evos. Just the Porsches, Astons and M cars to beat... got to fancy that?
I used to run my M535i at Harewood many years ago, before they extended the course - had a couple of class wins too. -
Was always overawed by the likes of Roy Lane and Mike Pilbeam and their hugely impressive focussed single seaters.
Happy days...

Did Andy update your Engine EcuTek software to Version 5?
Hi Mark,
Not too sure to be honest Mark, we only spoke about the transmission software which he suggested we upgrade when I do a clutch re-learn at about 1,000 miles.
I'll plug my cable in at weekend and see what pops up!
Cheers.

Glad you like it Ade - it does look good doesn't it!
Steve Palmer at Edge Automotive - £100 plus p&p.
His turnaround was speedy too! I said I'd pass on his details as I'm really REALLY pleased with his work - so if you contact him let him know who tipped you off!
Cheers.

Been a while since I bored you about my GTR, so feel free to ignore!
Not long after I bought it I had a problem with the transmission selecting, or to be more accurate NOT selecting R or 1 at the first attempt (inevitably when someone was waiting for me to do whatever was needed and get out of the way!). It took a little while but eventually I had the transmission rebuilt at ACSpeedtech in Warrington (under warranty!) with some significant upgrades and it is now sublime! Will need a clutch re-learn and then upgrade to latest transmission software - courtesy of an Ecutek cable and my laptop.
Visually the only real change (apart from the bits'npieces in post #34) has been a retrim of the central gear surround.(and a new personal reg to twin up with the 350).
Gone is the sliver plastic (easily marked) finish, now it is in a lovely classy alcantara to match the seats.
Oh - and the ultimate mod - a leather handle for the inside of the boot lid to pull it closed -
Next up - a Divine Detail and then perhaps an intercooler upgrade and a dyno setup...
David.

I'll be in touch in a few weeks for some of that! What is your lead time for a booking?
Do you prefer the ISM to GTechniq as the final layer?
